One of the main attractions of Cairo, and it deserves it. Inside there are several large mosques, a police museum, casemates, a huge military museum. I really liked the exhibits - antique carriages on the second floor of the palace. I wonder how they were dragged there. It will take a lot of time, two hours to walk side by side, and maybe more. Ice cream and water are expensive inside.
A must-visit. Large well-maintained territory, good view of the city. It is a very beautiful mosque, where you can enter either barefoot or by buying shoe covers from local "entrepreneurs". You will not be able to use your shoe covers or get used ones out of the trash, the "entrepreneurs" are clearly monitoring this.
The Saladin fortress was built in the 12th century, there are several beautiful mosques, you can go inside, a museum as well as a wonderful panoramic view of Cairo and the pyramids.
