We really liked the Lefka Apart Hotel. Its location is convenient for people who like to relax at home (or almost).
Next to the hotel there is the main store of the city, there are always a lot of people here and you can buy good wine and food for yourself. Personally, we did not hesitate to cook everything ourselves and ate on the balcony of our room, breakfast or dinner was definitely in the room, for this there is a small refrigerator and an electric stove. The owners also cook every day, but we dared to eat once, so as not to upset the hostess, it turned out to be meager and expensive. You can also eat in the tourist part with such success. By the way, they rarely cook normally (the more traffic and closer to the center the worse). It is delicious where the locals eat, for example, gyros. It's nice to wander around the city at night, and you can lie on the beach during the day. We took a car for three days and drove through the island completely, were everywhere, and enjoyed the scenery and sights.
In general, I liked Rhodes, but the crisis destroyed it by half, and people hold on as best they can. In this regard, Crete looks more interesting and pleasant.

A cozy family hotel. The beach is a 15-minute walk away. The Old Town is not far away, it is convenient to walk in the evening. There is a large supermarket across the street. There are no Russian-speaking staff, the attitude is good. Rooms for 4. The room has a refrigerator, kettle, dishes, bathroom for 3 with a minus. But be prepared for huge cockroaches). Breakfast is always the same: scrambled eggs, olives, cheese, bread with olive oil, two pancakes and coffee. Lunch and dinner are optional, paid separately. It is quite enough for an economy option.
