There are many different Lycian tombs and sarcophagi in the cities of Turkey. Tombs are structures carved into the rock, and sarcophagi were made of large boulders already on a flat surface. The latter option is shown in the photo. Everything was used as for the burial of noble people, moreover, some sarcophagi were of enormous size and resembled crypts. Several generations of the family could be buried there along with various luxury items. Today, everything has long been opened by looters and looted.

Mulberry grows on the territory, so in May you can eat) I am very glad that the sarcophagi and the entrance to them are free. But the inspection will take 5 minutes at most)
