In museums, it is very important to preserve not only the exhibits, but also the appropriate atmosphere. Everything coincided here: rare items and a setting that immerses in the everyday life of the classics of Belarusian literature. Surely, the desire to follow the spirit of that time is also connected with the fact that you can only pay for a visit in cash))) We visited the museum as part of the thematic program, the girl guide is simply amazing! She provided information so vividly and fascinatingly that it was impossible to be distracted by anything else. So be sure to plan an excursion with a guide, this is a completely different level of experience. Moreover, the entrance ticket itself costs pennies.
There are only 3 items in the museum that belonged to the writer's family. The family lived in this house for several years in 3 rooms. The house is a 5-apartment building. The atmosphere and the spirit of that time are present, but it is unlikely that the writer's family could afford all those things on display. The Bogdanovich family's belongings: a teaspoon, a photo frame and a jewelry box.
The first printed Bible of Skarina is on display.
The museum in the village house. The situation immediately refers to that era. Furniture, paintings, photographs - the exposition is good. Friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff.
We bought magnets and a booklet.
The only disadvantage / if I may say so/ is that there is no way to pay with a card, so withdraw cash.
Thank you very much, it was all very interesting.
I definitely recommend it!!!!!
I really liked it, thanks a lot to the guide! Children aged 6 and 9 listened with interest and answered questions. On the day of our visit, admission was free. Very beautiful antique furniture and interesting things. We joined an excursion for schoolchildren, the staff did not mind. The museum is located next to a park with a Ferris wheel and a puppet theater.
A small but very interesting museum dedicated to the life and literary work of the outstanding Belarusian poet Maxim Bogdanovich. Among the exhibits are drafts of his poems, publications in various publications, among others in Nasha Niva, old photographs and the only lifetime collection "wreath". The interiors of the late 19th century have been restored in part of the premises. The museum is open in the house where the future poet lived with his parents in 1892-96.
We were in Grodno on the weekend, we decided to visit the museum! We were as satisfied as possible! The tour was conducted individually, there was no need to wait for the tour group to gather) the tour itself is quite interesting, we learned a lot of new things!
There are museums that are because of the staff who work there. We are not locals ourselves and, to be honest, we did not know about the person to whom this museum is dedicated. Thanks to such enthusiastic people who work in this museum, it is very pleasant to discover new and informative things. Thank you for the unique excursion! Keep it up. A must-visit!
It's just incredible! A real original in history, preserved to the present day. Inside, household items, furniture and various small things are preserved as if we have returned to the past. I am very grateful to the staff of the museum for the guided tour, you are great.
We were in Grodno and saw information about this museum in a tourist guide. A wonderful museum! It was very interesting to listen and watch. I recommend it to everyone!
The staff is very polite. The price for admission and for the tour are low. We did not regret that we visited. It is better to take a guide when visiting
We visited the house museum with our family. We can take a tour of the house, which we took advantage of. Thanks to the museum and its staff for the informative tour.
A wonderful place, a pleasant guide, tells a very interesting story, it's nice that in the Belarusian language. I am very glad that I visited this place, I will be happy to come again
Interesting, cozy, inexpensive.
There is a lot of information on the signs. Therefore, you need to read, which, in fact, does not spoil the overall impression.
A great tour!! A must-visit. It was very interesting to learn unusual facts from the biography of the great early departed writer of Belarus. Thanks to the staff for the inspiration!!
A very small but cute museum!
First of all, they went because of their schoolgirl daughter, so that it would be easier for her to study Maxim Bogdanovich at school. But it turned out that they had already passed it at school, and it was even more interesting for her than for us to listen to the guide.
Yes, I forgot to say, we booked the tour service in advance, it was very convenient, we arrived on time, they were already waiting for us, an excursion to Belaruskai mov, and it's great! It costs 10 Belarusian rubles ($4). The guide told us everything, showed us, we bought a magnet and happily went on walking around the beautiful city of Grodno!
Thanks to Ekaterina for the wonderful tour! We learned a lot about M.B., for example, the secret of his most popular photo.
The museum itself consists of several rooms: two with general, "museum" information about M.B.'s life and work, and four more rooms with a recreated interior of an apartment where M.B.'s family could live
. It is very nice that the museum is in such good condition.
We decided to visit this museum with our child. Unfortunately, the impressions were not pleasant. We were actually kicked out. 😆
Do you see, we were in the same room where the tour began and so that we would not "eavesdrop" they began to take us out to another room🙄
By the way, my child is 7 years old. Do you think it's interesting to stand and listen at that age?
And also, we were not allowed to do anything...they became wrong, they sat down wrong...even I already felt like a child, because they followed us.😆
The result: 10 minutes of time spent, 3 rubles for a ticket and a lot of questions to the museum staff...
An interesting place to visit. It has preserved its original appearance very well. The history of Belarus. The entrance is not expensive. You can take an excursion in which you will be told the history of this place and the person who lived there.

The museum is located in the center , the ticket is inexpensive , friendly receptionists . These are all advantages. In the museum you can see photos , personal items , furniture , books , icons , paintings . All without a signature. Who is depicted in the photo? What are these books , what are these newspapers ? What did they have to do with Maxim Bogdanovich? I have not found answers to these questions. I've never seen a relic in a museum without a signature. There is nothing to do there without a guide .
I recommend that all guests and tourists of Grodno definitely go, it is very interesting. As a resident of Grodno, I went with each of the children and it was always interesting!
