An incredible place in Casablanca on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean.
The mosque fascinates with its beauty and scale. The interior of the mosque is decorated with golden marble, drawings, paintings, wooden carvings, mosaics. There are pink granite columns in the prayer hall.
The ceilings are decorated with chandeliers from Venice. Luxurious Oriental-style patterns, Arab arches, beautifully decorated stairs, shiny floors, and bright ornaments on the walls dazzle with their splendor. At night, the mosque is illuminated by numerous floodlights.
The mosque is amazing, a work of art. Entrance is paid, as in a museum. During prayer, it is possible to go to the square with the crowd. This is the most beautiful place in Casablanca, so be sure to visit. There are discounts for international students and you can freely enter during prayer.
It is one of the largest mosques in the world and is one of the main attractions of Morocco. It was built in honor of the former King Hassan II of Morocco and was completed in 1993. Its minaret is the tallest in the world and reaches a height of about 210 meters. Inside the mosque there is a large prayer hall capable of accommodating up to 25 thousand people, as well as a library and a museum dedicated to Islamic culture and history
a beautiful mosque, very impressed by the architecture, mosaic, how beautifully everything is laid out, a row of columns, a beautiful place next to the Atlantic Ocean. There is a hammam at the bottom of the mosque, not cheap, but you can go to a civil one
It is a very interesting place, BUT it is better to go knowing the background or with a guide (preferably a Russian speaker in order to understand religious references and other details without translation difficulties).
The only mosque (in the civilized world) where non-Muslims can enter the prayer halls.
We were in the "window" between prayers, waiting on the ocean is definitely worth the impressions we received.
Admission costs 140 Dirhams per person (April 2024)
Almost the only outstanding place in Casablanca visited by all tourists is the Hassan II Mosque. For all the grandiose grandeur and monumentality of the French architect Michel Pinso's plan, the religious complex does not look bulky and ponderous: both the elegant high minaret and the mosque with the richly decorated interior are airy and easy to perceive. Inside the mosque, which can accommodate more than 20 thousand praying men and 5 thousand women at the same time (and 4 times more believers in the adjacent square), is covered with carpets, on which you can only walk without shoes, so take care of socks in advance. It impresses the imagination with the splendor of the decoration, the delicate carving of columns, arches, lattices and beautiful mosaics, luxurious chandeliers, the scale of the hammam (for ablution before prayer) and the splendor of the design of the space. The proximity to the ocean, which we went to greet in anticipation of the opening of the main building for visiting at 10 a.m., gives the whole complex a special charm and freshness. This place of power is really worthy of attention and visiting
The place is breathtaking!!! Ocean surf! Space and wind! Seagulls and the sky! The high minaret... Very tall... Going up into the sky... A huge area... And a magnificent building! Beautiful ornaments! And coolness...
It must be seen. On the shores of the Atlantic Ocean, a very impressive structure, impressive.

Very beautiful!!!!!! But in order to get inside, you need to adjust the working time correctly. The mosque is operational, non-Muslims are not allowed during worship services. They are culturally asked to come after prayer.
