Mount Chimera is an unusual peak, on the slopes of which natural gas is constantly igniting. It is this legendary peak described in Homer's Iliad as the place where a terrible monster lived.
, Entrance to the attraction is paid. Tourists come here with sausages and marshmallows to roast it on the fire.
The way to the mountain with fiery hearths is a kilometer along the steps, not quite simple, but feasible.
Next is the marked Lycian trail, and you can walk to the pass of Mount Chimera itself. A trail with a constant sharp climb.
Bottom line: Lycian trail – Cirali to Mount Chimera pass.
1️⃣ The level of training is average.
2️⃣ Climb – 400 m . (all the way up, the first 200 meters of the steps)
3️⃣ The length to the pass is 3 km (one way).
The place is really amazing and I recommend visiting it at sunset, take a flashlight or a phone with you). Going back down the stairs in the dark is quite problematic.
It's a beautiful place. There are not many lights from the ground. A very beautiful starry sky. One of the disadvantages is slippery rocks on the trail. Be careful, wear good sports shoes
Chimera (also called Chiraly Yanartash) is worth climbing up and looking at the fiery torches bursting out of the ground. Yes, the road is not the easiest. But if you have time and do not rush, it is quite possible to master it. We arrived there around 16 o'clock and stayed until 18. During this time, besides us, there were 3 more girls and NO ONE else!!! But when we were already descending, we met perhaps a hundred people who were in a hurry to climb the Chimera by dusk. Yes, it's probably more beautiful there at dusk, but will you be able to see something from behind other people's backs?
The entrance is 45 lira, the rise is 800 meters, but it's worth it, it was in November in the late afternoon, there were few people, but a lot of cats. I recommend taking sausages with you to roast and feed the cats.
The entrance is 45 lira, a rather heavy half-hour climb, if you are in bad shape it will be difficult. A huge bunch of people. Upon reaching the goal, a small piece of gray rock and three bonfires burning from the ground. As a natural phenomenon, it's funny. From the point of view of entertainment and beauty-nothing interesting. We were driving in passing, we caught the twilight, so it's not a pity. There is no point in going far on purpose or taking an excursion, the spectacle is not particularly impressive. There are many other really worthwhile beautiful places in Turkey.
Very atmospheric place! If you are not afraid of the road about 1 km up the rocks, I advise you to climb it!!! It's better to be in time for sunset, it will be beautiful, but you can do it after, the main thing is to take a flashlight (we had enough flashlight in the phone) and comfortable shoes with non-slip soles.
Everyone who has come to Kemer will not regret visiting this place. Many people know him as just a "Chimera". According to legends, a Fire-breathing Chimera (a lion-goat-snake type creature) sleeps under the mountain and its fiery breath makes its way out from under the stones :) Well, that's how I understood it :))
There are awesome sunsets! And when it starts to get dark, the lights look especially spectacular.
Recommendations:
1. Comfortable shoes (sneakers, running shoes)
2. Water
3. Flashlight (for the return trip, if in the evening)
4. You can take something to fry on a stick (sausage, marshmallow)
5. If you have health problems (it is difficult to walk), do not go. The path from the parking lot is about 1 km up the rocks. In places it is slippery (sand with stones or just smooth stones), in places it is just hard. People with shortness of breath stand every 250 meters, rest
We arrived at 19.00, it was already dark, but we prepared and took headlamps, after a whole day of walking, it was very difficult to climb, the road is difficult, especially in the dark
Take with you more water, sausages and marshmallows, a lot of CATS, take them something to eat too, they are hungry.
If you walk in the dark, be sure to wear sneakers!

If you are on the way, it is a passable place. However, you don't need to come far to see this place. The climb is not very easy at noon. Make sure you have water with you. It should be preferred in the evening when the weather is cooler. You can make beautiful poses when you go up.
The entrance fee is 12 lire. Convenient Parking, you can drive safely. There is enough parking space for everyone!!!
Climbing up is a bit tedious - 1 km. But the route is very interestingly made, with a countdown, so the path will be fascinating. And the eternal lights themselves are charming!
It's a pretty interesting place. You can also capture the ruins and the beach. It will definitely take 4-5 hours. Take marshmallows with you to fry on fire, it turns out super!
It is not so impressionable, it is possible for a tick, but so as to add to the list of objects for mandatory visits, I would not.
The beach itself/ the sea in Chiraly kayfovee)
We were in the off-season, when we walked around Lycia, the place is interesting, especially beautiful at night! If you go by car, you should also visit the ruins of Olympos and the wonderful Chirala beach. Well, try trout in Ulupinar!
Compared to other attractions in the surrounding area, this is not so cool: for 25 minutes you scratch uphill up huge steps, take pictures of lights from the ground and scratch back, there is not much beauty around. If you come here with a tent and walk across the entire mountain (10 km up the mountain approximately) along the Lycian trail, then yes, but it would be quite meaningful to come here for the sake of lights.
An interesting place, a little mystical! Amazing views! It is better to visit in the off-season when there are few people. With the crowds on the mountain, all the charm is lost.
