The place is colorful, there are many copies. There are several comments: it's time to update the paint on the equipment, the layouts do not work in the museum, I would like more open expansions, it's more interesting for children inside.
An interesting exposition, you can go up to some exhibits and sit in the driver's seat, there is a steam locomotive and a diesel locomotive in the section very informative.
The place is a must-visit for all 10 - to 90-year-old boys. There is a huge number of railway transport in the form of steam locomotives, diesel locomotives, wagons, etc.
An interesting exhibition in the open air and in the exhibition hall. It will be exciting for both children and adults. One of the disadvantages is that you can't get on trains.
It is very interesting and informative, the only thing is that not all locomotives and trains and wagons can be entered and viewed!! And in general, my personal recommendation is to visit!!
The museum is awesome, I really liked it. And magnets for memory on the refrigerator are sane for 3-4 rubles. I advise you to visit. The museum has a working small railway
A great museum.Just don't skimp on the guide!!!! With a guide, you
will be told a story and guided through the carriages where they are not allowed to go so easily. MANY THANKS to the guide Olga!!!
I RECOMMEND IT!!!
A very good museum, a lot of steam locomotives and diesel locomotives of different times. The child was delighted. We advise everyone. On some locomotives, you can enter the driver's cabin, there are locomotives with a transparent wall where you can see his structure.
An interesting thematic museum. There is an opportunity to enter some steam locomotives inside. The locomotive looks very interesting in the section! There is free parking for a car. Near Mamaev Kurgan.
Thank you for the wonderful museum. Our family really liked it. The 3-year-old child was delighted. I recommend visiting, I think you will not regret it.
In May 2023, about 5 driver's cabins were available for visiting, now there are only two. Even the trolley was removed somewhere. It was only because of this museum that we came to Brest with a child, but in fact our expectations were not fulfilled. Locomotives are beautiful, of course, but children need an interactive experience.
Convenient location. There is a convenient parking nearby. Tickets are not expensive at all. Inside there is a cafe, mini exhibitions with moving models of trains. The exhibition of steam locomotives and other railway equipment is interesting. You can enter some steam locomotives, there are demonstration exhibits "in the context". Thematically, it is very interesting.
It's a good museum. There are many models of trains, everything is written and painted. It's cool that there are trains that you can climb into the cabin. To see how everything works there.
I liked everything, the children are delighted that you can get on some trains and touch and twist everything. The museum inside the building is also quite fascinating.
The place is atmospheric and very informative. There are many exhibits that delight. It's a pity that 90% of the trains are closed. In general, if you are in Brest, the place is worthy of your attention.
An interesting collection of railway transport and a pavilion with a detailed history of the Belarusian railway, and related equipment that can be touched, there are excursions and a souvenir shop.
Perhaps the most interesting museum of railway equipment that I have seen in the CIS. And in Europe. And in Asia. And in Africa. And I haven't been to America or Australia, so xs.
It is mandatory for everyone who is "in the topic" to visit. And it will not be superfluous for everyone else: you can sit in the driver's cab, and not even in one. It's a pity the old compartments-the reserved seats are closed, but you can look out the windows. There are also unique exhibits there in general, but I will not write - it is better to visit and see.
It's a great museum, I was thrilled when I walked through it. The locomotives, its components, as well as I was crazy about the exhibition. Old lanterns, layouts, especially Brest Central station and so on. I am very glad that I visited this museum.
A good museum of different trains, children like to climb them, 10p entrance for an adult, 7p for a child from 7 years old, up to 7 years old for free, I really liked it, we will come again
An interesting, authentic place. I was there a long time ago, about 7 years ago, but I really liked the place. It will be interesting for those who are interested in railway equipment in general and history. Because after seeing what kind of equipment drove on rails 50-100 years ago, you can really immerse yourself in the past and even touch it. Some museum exhibits can even be climbed inside.
Well done! Save so much historical equipment, keep an eye on it and renovate it. It is clear that the exhibits are mostly "not on the move", but this is the history of transport. It's good that you can climb and see how it's inside... Great!
It was interesting to see. But it's a pity that you can't go inside. We were on our own without a tour. Maybe with an excursion they open some trains for viewing
There is not enough dynamics and activity for children. You can't go inside, except for a couple of exhibits. You can't even climb on some of them (there are signs hanging). They could have opened some wagons. Children are climbing everywhere anyway and in places it looks dangerous. How much joy children have when they can sit in the driver's cabin. They could have made some kind of interactive, they don't work for free.
The parking lot is small and gets clogged up already in the first hour after opening (thanks for having it at all and not having to pay). The cafe is so-so, not for lunch.
A wonderful museum! We visited it ourselves, without an excursion. All information is available on the stands. My son was delighted with the opportunity to climb the exhibits.
It's a great place!! My son went around the entire exhibition and was very pleased!
There are many steam locomotives and diesel locomotives from famous films here))
A magnificent museum for a beautiful city! There is a very extensive exposition of trains that you can not only see, but also visit the driver's cabin. The museum will be interesting not only for adults, but also for children.
A very interesting exposition of railway equipment from different times is presented. There are several pieces of equipment in the context, clearly showing the principle of operation of complex mechanisms. There is a small exhibition in the building. A very small cafe with coffee, sandwiches and buns. Those who are guided by a guide have access to several additional cabins of the rolling stock. The staff is mostly polite and friendly. To be near the Brest fortress. Large parking lot nearby.
Unfortunately, I didn't get it. I did not know the opening hours in advance and did not take into account the availability of days off on Monday and Tuesday. I will definitely visit on my next visit, but for now I was content with the view through the grid / fence bars. But even this viewing format impressed and left positive impressions. I imagine what they will be like at the moment of close visual contact. Anyway, come on, dear museum, I'll be back!!!!!!!
I liked the Railway Technology Museum very much. I watched every locomotive with great enthusiasm. The history from the beginning of creation to the present day. It is very interesting and exciting. There is also a museum with a detailed description of the dispatch service facilities, a layout with all types of railways. I strongly recommend you to visit)
It's a great place. We drove by many times and found time to go. They didn't spare a second. There is a place to climb. There is a place to look. I would like to see more open spaces or at least from the street to see the equipment of antique wagons and trains. The ticket is inexpensive. Preschool children are free of charge. We were especially pleased with the railway installation in the museum building. I recommend it to you.
A great museum. I recommend you to visit. I was with the children twice, the children are delighted as some locomotives have access inside. There is an additional museum room with a very interesting solution for the exhibition of exhibits. The Brest Fortress is within walking distance.
That's cool. Plunge into the atmosphere of the past. Climb into some locomotives (it's a pity that there are few open ones). The information stands are also very impressive.
I recommend you to visit.
There is a cafe on the territory, and a closed exposition.
The museum is located next to the Brest fortress. You can combine them if you have time left :)))
A wonderful museum. I really liked the abundance of both tractors and passenger cars. It's a pity that you can't enter the passenger rooms and only a couple of trains are open for entry. But for those who like to touch the history of the creation of the railway, it is definitely worth going
A very cool museum! There are a lot of very old driveways that were filmed! I would like to note separately the maintenance of equipment, cleanliness and order! 👍👍👍
It was interesting to see and read about trains of different times, but it's a pity that you can only go into units. I would like, for example, to visit not only the locomotive of the early 20th century, but also newer ones, plus to see the passenger cars from the inside. Maybe we were so lucky and some of them were temporarily forbidden to enter, but that makes it even more insulting.
A great museum. It has a lot of different trains, wagons, where you can visit inside, twist and touch everything, which is very important for children. You can walk as much as you want, the tickets are inexpensive. There are small cafes. The staff is polite and friendly. There is parking nearby.
The most excellent museum. Was a family. The son was 100% satisfied. There are locomotives with transparent walls where you can view the device. There are with access to the cabins. It's even interesting for adults. There are wheels the size of an adult.
An excellent museum, a large number of steam locomotives, shunting tractors of diesel locomotives in the open air, in some you can go and try on the role of a machinist. The children will definitely be delighted. The indoor museum has a cafe, a toilet and a model Piko railway with tunnels, buildings, semaphores. Very cool 👍🔥🚂
