It's a very cool museum, there are a lot of expansions, the installations are beyond praise - you can immediately see that the masters were in love with their work! It's definitely worth taking a guided tour, 2 hours fly by unnoticed! A must-visit!
An excellent museum, real tanks and airplanes, howitzers and mortars, pistols, rifles, machine guns, both Soviet and united Europe. The real things of the defenders of the Motherland. Expositions of the liberation of Belarus, the siege of Leningrad, concentration camps and other stages of the Great Patriotic War! I definitely recommend you to visit Minsk!
A great place, we went with the children, it was interesting for the children and for us. Children should know the history of warriors and victories! There is also a cozy cafe in the museum where you can have lunch., there is a park nearby where you can walk, there is a beautiful fountain, you can also ride boats and catamarans.
An amazing museum! Three floors dedicated to the history of the Great Patriotic War. Exhibits from body watches to real battle tanks. A mandatory visit, the atmosphere is right immersed in that difficult time. We took a guide from a young blue-eyed guy-a real professional, obviously loves his job very much, gave answers to all our questions👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Surprised, but more impressed to the point of goosebumps!!! This is the best museum of the Great Patriotic War of all where I have visited. Everything is very interesting, interactive and informative! You can describe your impressions of visiting the museum for a long time, but I will say only one thing - you will definitely be in Belarus, you will definitely visit the WWII Museum in Minsk! I highly recommend and advise you!!!
It is recommended for everyone to visit. A very large-scale, interesting and informative exposition about the Great Patriotic War! A lot of interesting documents, weapons, military and civilian items are interesting for both adults and children. There is a large well-groomed area around the museum where you can walk, as well as a sculptural composition with a cascading fountain. The place around the museum and the museum itself are very beautiful! Be sure to visit!
A magnificent museum, very interesting expositions, a lot of halls, an interesting tour, the Victory Hall is impressive! There is something to be proud of both Belarusians and Russians, and never forget their past! Eternal memory and eternal glory to the defenders of the Motherland!
Huge, fantastic, amazing. Non-standard space. An abundance of material. Sound effects, life-size equipment, Panoramic scenes. Fighting, guerrilla corners, an exhibition of paintings and the VICTORY Hall under the dome.
A museum that every person who respects their ancestors who accomplished such a feat should visit. Those who defeated fascism and survived the horror of the war. Amazing expositions. Guides who know the history perfectly well. The story needs to be shown and told, especially to young people. And then much of what is happening today will be clearer and clearer.
Just an amazing museum, magnificent exhibitions, very interested and in-depth guides, 100 out of 100! I recommend it to everyone to visit! From the entrance, you get into the full scale of the grief of events, and the joy of victory over fascism.
The impressions are amazing, the monument is strength, power, beauty, sadness.
The museum has exhibitions and very interesting expositions.
We visited with great interest, I advise everyone to visit, we will always remember!!!
The museum is very beautiful, modern and impressive in terms of content. It is required to visit. The magnificent exhibition of paintings by M. A. Savitsky reflects all the pain and sorrow that millions of people, including the artist, have gone through.
You can't describe it in a short comment
Dedicated to our ancestors) our descendants are required to visit)
The exposure is large) children can get tired quickly)
There are many exhibits and rooms )
If possible, take a narrator who knows the history of WWII well
And be sure to take picnic food and drink with you) there is a beautiful park nearby) after the children have a picnic) they will be glad)))
To the staff and organizers of the museum, thank you so much for the work you have done to organize the exhibition)
And in the future I would like to add projectors and screens with videos about past events, battles, their heroes, weapon characteristics, tragedies, etc.) since the young current generation is already growing up with a smartphone in the blood of both YouTube and the title, such information will be familiar to them, which means they will be able to feel much more the importance of remembering this tragedy)
Thanks to everyone who has preserved and is preserving a peaceful life)))
A very good museum. You can see how it was in the form of scenes: equipment, figures of soldiers, moss, trees, everything is as in reality. The exhibits are interesting. Captured not only motor saws, but also, for example, a boron machine (dental). It is better for children to eat before visiting - it takes a long time to walk, but it is interesting
It's a good museum, I've traveled a lot, there's something to compare it with. An interesting and unusual multi-level organization of space. The area around also deserves praise, it's a pity that I was here in the rain. I recommend you to visit.
A grandiose museum, a must-visit! Magnificent and detailed expositions, lovingly preserved artifacts, unforgettable diaramas and compositions. A very large and very "living" museum.
The museum is very good, anyone who comes to Belarus should definitely visit this museum. Everything is very well shown about the partisan movement. There are many exhibits and photographs. On Victory Day, a parade takes place near the museum. Be sure to go, immerse yourself in this period, we need to know more about this time.
a gorgeous museum that will not leave anyone indifferent! we went several times, especially enjoyed the guided visits. The stories are very interesting, based on facts, events, and research. The exposition is on fire!!! I advise and recommend it to everyone, a top-level museum!
I recommend everyone to visit. It is better to take an hour-long tour. There will be a lot of impressions, both for adults and children from 8 years old. Interesting exhibits have been collected and the expositions from 1939 to 1945 have been recreated, as well as there are separate halls dedicated to the wars after 1945.
Only positive emotions from visiting this museum. An excellent guide and a very informative tour. A lot of wartime items. All the equipment that is presented in the museum (except for one tank) participated in the fighting
A great museum. I received a lot of impressions and emotions. I liked the installations and the fact that there are many interactive panels where you can read information in detail. The museum itself is very beautiful-I was impressed. Be sure to visit everyone!
A great museum with a rich exposition! Small arms are very widely represented. We were with my wife on 12/25/24. We went on an excursion with a small group. The feeling that the museum is organized "with a soul"!
I really liked it there, it was informative and very good to remember and immerse myself in the atmosphere of the times of the years at all. Good staff, neat and very exciting. I advise everyone to go, and I hope to visit the museum again myself.
This is an amazing exhibition! What kind of exhibits are there! There are also simply unique ones. I am delighted with such a reverent attitude of history! This museum is simply a must-visit when traveling to Belarus.
The price of the tour is 11 rubles. You can take an audio guide for 5 rubles.
A must-visit in Minsk!! It is large-scale, very well organized, a combination of interactive and real exhibits in a huge number. We are from St. Petersburg, and we know a lot about museums.. Belarusians, you are well done. Memory is our everything.🤝
It's a great museum from all the others I've seen before.
Talking about the museum, one cannot do without the word "the"
Largest - five floors of equipment, exhibits, copies and originals of documents, realistically created compositions.
The most interactive - each hall is equipped with video panels on which text documents (not included in the full-scale exhibition) and video documents are shown.
The most professional guides.
Thanks!
The museum is very beautiful, it can be seen from afar. We took a guided tour, they told us so interesting that tears appeared in our eyes. Impressive dioramas with scenes of heavy fighting, equipment (airplanes, Katyusha)- all this is presented in the museum. I recommend visiting it in front of the Brest fortress and Khatyn.
It is impossible not to visit this landmark of Minsk and the whole of Belarus: The Museum of the Great Patriotic War traces its history back to 1944, the year of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders. A well-equipped building with the history of the war, in details known to all of us and special, rare for the Belarusian history. The compositions are so believable that you seem to be gradually immersed in the atmosphere of the tragic beginning of the war, the guerrilla movement, the genocide of the people during the occupation.. and just as deeply and realistically is the feeling of power, strength, thoughtfulness and people's faith in a successful offensive. Which led to the liberation. The museum is modern, with several floors. The exhibits are in excellent condition, complemented by new compositions. I recommend visiting with family and children.
The museum is large-scale.
Be sure to purchase tickets with an excursion service, so visiting the museum will become even more informative.
We were lucky to have a guide, we had a young man - a museum employee who knew the material perfectly, and we really liked the tour.
The museums feature all stages of the Great Patriotic War, exhibits - original tanks, airplanes. The exposition dedicated to the partisan movement is very interesting.
I was impressed by the terrible facts about the German concentration camps.
If you are in Minsk, then a visit to this museum is a must!
A great museum. Everything from the building, the territory, to the exposition. Only the halls of modern wars were not very impressed. But this is my subjective opinion. I recommend everyone to visit the museum, so that they remember those years, so that they know how scary it was
One of the best museums I've ever been to. Excellent exposition, unusual building. I really, really liked everything, it's difficult to convey all the emotions and impressions, you definitely need to see for yourself to appreciate this place!
A large, beautiful, modern museum. I bow low, for keeping the memory of the Great Patriotic War for future generations. There is a very large amount of information, large installations, many halls, I want to consider everything in detail, but it is very difficult to do this in one day.
A very good museum!!! I advise you to take a tour, you can take a team, as a rule, there are always people there who want to be in a group. Because the guide will take you through all the halls in great detail, and there are about 9 or 10 of them. The last Hall of Victory.
You can also walk around yourself, but it will be from the category: I ran, took a picture and ran on.
We walked in a team group for an hour, then the rest of the time you can walk as much as you want and take pictures.
Very interesting...We learned a lot from the history of the Great Patriotic War .
Definitely worth a visit!!
There is a gift shop on the ground floor.
A wonderful museum, a large space, a lot of equipment, things, clothes, photos. Paintings, sculptures. Thank you for the opportunity to visit and your hard work so that your contemporaries could see the horror of the war
Many thanks to Natalia Obukhova for the tour of the museum and in particular the exhibition "Heirs of the Great Victory", which presents materials about internationalist soldiers, including materials about my father, Natalia Ivanovna conducted the tour with great attention, warmth and very professionally, my whole family is grateful to Belarus, the museum and personally Natalia Ivanovna, that the exploits of the warriors are not forgotten
A beautiful and interesting museum. I advise you to visit. Interesting exhibits, children will really like it. There is a large green park around, where you can walk for a long time, hiding from the heat.
We visited the museum in July 2024. It is very convenient, guided tours by sessions, by time, it was not long to wait for the start of the tour. Researcher Dmitry Sergeevich, had a very exciting tour of the main exposition, more than an hour and a half passed in one breath. From the first days of the war to the Great Victory. About the feat of the partisans, underground workers, about the resistance and inflexibility of the defenders of their native land. Unique samples of homemade guerrilla weapons are presented. The Hall of Fame is solemnly beautiful. Many thanks to the museum staff for preserving the Memory!
This is a must-visit place! Of course, with an excursion, it is impossible to book a place in the group in advance, you arrive and find out on the spot whether you get to the nearest one or not. We had to wait about an hour, but it's worth it. Moreover, the museum is located on the territory of a beautiful well-maintained park and you can spend time walking around the park while waiting for the tour to begin. There is ample parking next to the museum. The museum itself is large-scale, modern (projectors, interactive screens, etc.), spacious, with real military equipment of those years. The tour lasts almost 1.5 hours, but it will be absolutely tiresome for children. Definitely bring the children here, our duty is to tell them and preserve the memory of the terrible years of the Great Patriotic War. I bow low to Belarus for such an exposition, traveling around the Republic of Belarus we saw many monuments of the Great Patriotic War, all with flowers.
The museum is located on 4 floors. Each stand can be studied for hours. Before the eyes of the stories of people who wanted to live, love, build, but not everyone saw the Victory. I spent several hours there and I realize that it is negligible. We have to come back again and again. I looked at faces, read biographies, and looked for similarities with modern people. I wanted to understand how they stood up, defended, what was the strength of the spirit of the Winners! Take a tour, an audio guide, and talk to the staff in the halls. They will tell you everything in detail and show you. The museum is extraordinary. Come with the children. To remember the main thing, to honor the memory...
the museum is fascinating, there are a lot of interactive whiteboards from which you can learn a lot
. There are also temporary exhibitions, I managed to get to the exhibition of the artist Savitsky, which is very symbolic (I'm not sure about the temporality of exhibitions, so specifically in this regard, I would advise you to focus not on my review, but on the official website of the museum)
in in general, the museum is well decorated, I really liked it
Such places cannot be bad, they are always needed and important. But this museum, among other things, is very well made. The exhibits are colorful and visual. Despite the fact that the expositions are designed to remind of terrible events, it's still a beautiful place. I recommend everyone to visit and never forget the great feat of our ancestors!
It's a very nice museum. We got there spontaneously, but we didn't regret a bit. Be sure to go with an exkusovod. Heartfelt, honest about the war. There are a lot of expositions. An 11-year-old child has retained the words "it is better for the whole family to join the partisans than to go to the gas chamber." After visiting this museum, we went to the Brest Fortress. I highly recommend it
The museum is cool- the exposition is great! It's small and cozy, unlike the Museum of the Armed Forces, where it's easy to get lost. The only thing is that the lighting is a bit gloomy. After the halls dedicated to the victims of the Nazis, it remains hard on the soul.
I liked the museum. There are many authentic artifacts. The sounds of war in the halls add emotion. Attentive staff. It's a little inconvenient location if you get there by public transport. There is a buffet.
Everything is great!!! There are a lot of expositions. There is also a modern history. The guide tells a very fascinating story, as if you are reliving these days. I recommend a visit.
The museum is amazing! The exposition is simply gorgeous, you can't take your eyes off it! You can watch it yourself, you can join the tour. In any case, you will be satisfied. The museum is definitely worth a visit to all those who are not indifferent. The prices are very affordable.
I advise you to visit if you like history, you like museums dedicated to the Second World War. 4 floors, beautiful modern expositions. We went with a guide, I really liked it
We were at the museum on April 24, 2024.
The mood was serious, because the topic is sacred to all of us. It was nice that for all pensioners, and for us Russian pensioners, it was done
50% discount on tickets.
The expositions are remarkably, reliably and truthfully decorated. There were many schoolchildren of different ages. Everyone behaved well-mannered, did not interfere, looked at everything with interest.
Most of all, I was struck by the scale of the scenes, the abundance of small details, and a large number of things.
I wanted to lament and examine every photo of the heroes of the front and rear.
A lump in my throat and tears were caused by photos of underground children, paintings depicting prisoners of camps.
It is the duty of every person to visit this WWII museum.
Thanks to the President and the leadership of Belarus, everyone who participated in the creation of the museum, I bow low.
Eternal memory to the heroes of the war!!!
No one is forgotten, nothing is forgotten!
I was pleasantly surprised by this museum and the number of exhibits. Super interesting and beautifully done. The museum is large, spacious and it is not hot in it. I took off a star for the fact that when I arrived there (Tuesday 12:00) it was impossible to take a tour guide or an audio guide. The audio guides were on charge (although why couldn't they be charged at night). It was difficult to get into the atmosphere of that time without some kind of accompaniment.
I liked the museum very much, the impressive expositions, tanks, planes and other equipment of the Second World War, the details in the little things. The museum is made with a soul and very responsibly. With eternal memory to those people who gave us freedom and life.
