A gorgeous, atmospheric museum. Although it's not big, it's very well-chosen, with an interesting tour and the opportunity to touch and photograph everything. The owner of the museum is a very enthusiastic and knowledgeable person. We really enjoyed it, the kids are thrilled.
The best museum in Polotsk, if you are with children. Small, but interesting. A very informative tour and exposition. You can buy amulets at the entrance - a very large selection. We recommend everyone to visit!
The museum is small, but for fans of this subject it is a must-visit, there are many interesting little things and you will especially like the atmosphere of the Middle Ages. And finally, you can take keepsake photos with a sword!
A cool and unusual museum! The creator of the museum approached the design of the halls and exhibits with a soul! The author of the museum told us many interesting stories, including about the hero of the times of chivalry - Prince Andrei of Polotsk-Pskov, to whom there is a wonderful full-length monument on the territory of the museum
We arrived at the museum and managed to get into the last car before closing (the last tour). The guide is the best, knows the history very well, showed and told everything. It was very interesting, I will bring my relatives next time.
I really liked it, the whole family went, the child is allowed to try on and touch the exhibits. they will tell you about the subjects in an interesting way, it is very beautiful, the staff is friendly
I really liked the museum and the exhibitions. The administrator and the owner of the museum are very friendly. You can take pictures with the exhibits, the owner of the museum is an enthusiastic, erudite person and talks interestingly about the history of his region. Thank you very much, it was informative.
A very interesting museum near the House of Peter the Great!
We just really liked everything here!
I wish it was bigger!
We recommend that you definitely visit the museum with children!
important! For Russians. We came to the museum with the children, and at the checkout they asked us where we were from. After that, they announced that they did not even know how to conduct the tour, because our Heroes are considered Scoundrels and scoundrels here, Peter 1, Suvorov and several others were on the list, we jumped out of this institution in horror, because we definitely did not want to develop such ideas in front of children.
At least in this museum, Russians are not treated as friends, as an employee announced to us in the wake.
I have not seen more negativity in this Republic yet. 🙈
The museum is very interesting. The owner Alexander conducts tours himself, the collection is extraordinary! Good souvenirs, some accessories can be tried on. Payment in cash and by card. They work at a convenient time, it is better to visit by appointment, there are many people who want to!
A gorgeous museum. We got on a tour conducted by the owner of the museum. A knowledgeable, enthusiastic person. He spoke fascinatingly about the exhibits of the museum and the history of the small town.
Good afternoon to all, we visited this museum on 14. 10.2023, the museum is small, private but very informative.we were very lucky the tour was conducted by the owner of the museum, a man very passionate about this place and the history of his homeland. The exhibits are gorgeous, the tour is informative, mainly based on the history of Prince Andrei of Polotsk. The time spent in the museum flew by just not noticeably. The souvenir shop presents interesting products and at low prices. You won't regret coming. Guests from Russia, like us, be more tolerant of the guide's story, ask questions, they will explain everything to you. So don't pass by, the place is gorgeous and interesting. Like the whole of Polotsk.
It's a complete delight! The guide and the owner of the museum with a very interesting exposition are the same person. There is incredible love and passion in every word. In addition to an interesting and informative story, he gave an opportunity to touch the historical era. There were so many impressions from the tour that our friendly team had enough to remember what they saw more than once, admiring the dedication of the owner of the museum to the chivalric era.
To my deep regret, it was not possible to get into the museum, because as soon as the man at the checkout (I do not know his position) found out that we were from Russia, he said that we would not only not be interested, but also unpleasant to hear about Tsar Peter, who is considered a scoundrel here.. Then came his statements about Suvorov, about the fact that we have never been a united people...It became very insulting to us and we left without realizing for ourselves what this has to do with this museum of chivalry...We often visit Belarus, we love both the country and the people very much, but now the sediment remains...
We visited the museum. The exhibition is not big, but it is interesting.Knight's armor, torture chamber, everything is very realistically done.I advise you to go, especially with children.
We were very lucky when we passed by, we got into non-working hours. You need to watch the daily routine, it works very unconventionally. Well, it's just worth it, the owner of the guide tells a lot of interesting things about the story and it's very atmospheric there, we recommend

A wonderful museum! It is small in size, but everything is very carefully thought out, excellent surroundings and soundtrack. It was interesting to listen to the history of the Polotsk tsar. And of course, thank you for the opportunity to take interesting photos.
The museum is quite small, but the atmosphere is very cool. The child and his wife liked it very much. You can freely take photos even with some exhibits. I really liked the administrator. She offered options for photos, dressed the child, gave all sorts of swords, shields. Added positivity. There is a torture room. If you're around, be sure to come in.
A very nice place. Unfortunately, it is small. My wife, my children and I liked it too))) The staff is friendly and positive) In general, for a very modest fee, there is an abyss of pleasure)))
We visited the museum on 08.01.24. We were limited in time, but the owner of the museum in a short time interestingly, enthusiastically told about the exhibits and about that distant era. A wonderful tour, a knowledgeable, erudite guide! We were satisfied.
The museum is one of the most interesting in Polotsk. We visit our grandmother there several times a year, right in the next house, and my son visits it with pleasure on each visit. We have been walking since the age of five, now my son is almost 10. He and his grandfather used to go there like to work every day. The owner, Alexander, is a very enthusiastic person himself, it's interesting to listen to him. The boys can touch everything there and try it on. For those who are passionate about history.
They wanted to visit the museum with their child. There was a single employee who was busy with other visitors. We stood for 10 minutes waiting for someone to tell us something or at least pay attention. I understand that you may be working on the record, but at least voice it so that we don't stand in the middle. There were unpleasant impressions, because the child was very determined to see the exposition. Maybe we'll try to come again, it'll be great if our negative experience doesn't happen again and I delete this review;)
I really liked the museum, we were in January 2024, the exposition is small, the room is small, be sure to take a tour, it is very interesting and informative, I recommend visiting.
A private museum in Polotsk. All exhibits are in excellent condition, selected with excellent knowledge of history. The museum is small, but very informative. The tour was conducted by the creator of the museum. Very interesting. I recommend everyone to visit. You won't regret it.
The museum is small, of course, but decorated with a soul.
In the absence of other entertainment, it is quite possible to visit, especially if you are fond of history.
Also, quite entourage photos are obtained, you can take some props.
In general, I recommend it.
A wonderful museum, good-natured hosts, beautiful decoration. I really liked it, the child was delighted and allowed a photo shoot with weapons and armor. Just great!!!
Many thanks to the creator of this wonderful museum, which recreated the history of Chivalry. Alexander Viktorovich conducts a very interesting tour, telling in detail about each exhibit and the period of that time! I recommend definitely visiting! Interesting for people of any age!
The director of the museum tells the story of the Middle Ages in a very fascinating way
I recommend you to visit
Entourage
The children are delighted
Adults too
A great museum! It's really too small. They give you some armor and weapons to try on. Even in their old age, they played with swords like children! The girl, the caretaker, spoke very interestingly about the creation of this museum. The ticket is not expensive, there are a lot of impressions!
I expected a little more... The museum is small, with only three rooms. But the expositions pleased me. I was pleasantly surprised by the audio guide. They told very interesting stories. Except that it's hard to hear in some rooms.
Very exciting and informative. The tour was conducted by the founder of the museum himself. He allowed me to touch the exhibits and try them on. Thank you very much!
