At the moment there are construction works in almost all the area of the fortress. Today (08/08/2024) it was possible to visit only the curch, which is renovated, and it was worth it. The path to Mother Georgia is interrupted. Even with all these restrictions, the view of the city from above is awesome.

The ascent to the fortress requires a little effort, but the views of the city opening up as you climb are worth it. On the top of the hill, next to the fortress, there is a small temple — the church of St. Nicholas, built in the XII century and restored in the XX century. This temple is also an important spiritual place where you can pray and enjoy peace and quiet.
