the place is nice, quiet, cozy and very beautiful views (especially in summer when everything is green), the sunsets here are also wonderful. The disadvantage is that the entrance has recently been paid, and there is nothing to see except a couple of towers and views (
It was planned to build a cafe close to the castle, but it was not built in the right time and now nothing seems to be being built at all in that place.

There's not much to look at yet, in principle. People are rebuilding and building, everything is in the process. There is an observation deck on the territory. Excursions come, show and tell. I was in October 2024, driving myself. They sell commemorative magnets in a stall.

Yeah... A unique monument of defensive architecture of the Middle Ages, the ancient center of Novogrudok, the residence of the Grand Dukes of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania ...
But many more restoration works need to be carried out here!

For fans of ancient structures, it will certainly be interesting here, but the rest of this place will probably be partially interested only as a background for photographs.

A beautiful monument, or rather, what remains of it, of our Homeland.Unfortunately, there is not much historical left there, but it is still worth visiting the place.One is a new model tower, the other is under reconstruction.There are many buildings around that have a sign of historical heritage.The kurgan and the monument to Adam Mickiewicz are very interesting.There is no view from the observation deck of the kurgan to the towers - an old linden tree interferes - it would be very beautiful.

It's a wonderful place, a real story lives here. A magnificent circular panorama of the Belarusian nature. It is great that specialists in the restoration and conservation of the castle are working. There is one thing to note: the place is historical and attracts a lot of tourists at any time of the year. The weather is changeable and it rains often. During such periods, you can't walk through the courtyard of the castle - dirt. It would be possible to make ladders to the observation decks, it would be culturally and convenient.

The castle is under restoration. In fact, it doesn't exist yet. It is possible to enter the castle for a ticket, but for unknown reasons, the ticket office was closed, as was the Castle itself. Nearby, the mound is like an observation deck, the view is average.

I was passing through in May! There were almost no tourists. I advise you to devote half a day to this place, take a walk around the city (the former capital of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania), go on an excursion to the castle (what is left of it). At the moment, restoration is underway (in my opinion, they are building a new model), they are not allowed inside. I advise Adam Mickiewicz to climb the mound, which offers an excellent panorama of the castle and the surrounding area. It is possible to combine it with a trip to Mir Castle (where there are almost no tourists after 14-15 hours).

Beautiful and well-maintained area around. There are some good views. The interior is closed, work is underway. In the future, it can be turned into a good center of attraction for tourists, but while people arrive, they rest against the locked gates and, after a little trampling, turn around.

Only a small part of the legendary castle has been preserved, but everything around is permeated with history. It is located on a hill, from here there is a beautiful view of the expanses of Belarus - forests, fields, meadows. Below you can see the church where Jagiello was married. Repairs are in full swing now, there are fenced areas and construction equipment on the territory, but the entrance is open and you can take a walk. It is a bit of a pity that the original wall of boulders was updated and rather clumsily - among the new boulders, a modern brick catches the eye. The second tower is almost finished, it does not look historical either, everything is made of new bricks. There is an observation deck next to the hill where the remains of the castle are located. In summer, because of the greenery, the castle is not very visible from there, but the view is beautiful. The woman who sells souvenirs at the entrance to the castle has excellent knowledge of the history of these places and it is clear that she loves Novogrudok. She told me very interestingly about some historical events in both the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth and the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. In general, the realization that the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and our history began from this place inspires reverence for this place. Parking is nearby, not very big. The parking lot has a small museum of antiques and a souvenir shop where you can buy coffee

They are trying to reconstruct it, but the brick that is used for this purpose is already crumbling, having not stood for even a hundredth part of this time, like a castle. It would be better if ordinary red bricks survived, rather than fashionable silicate ones. Well, our builders can't do it like our ancestors did.

Novogrudok was chronicled 980 years ago. Novogrudok Castle has been preserved fragmentally, the foundations of fortifications with buildings and ruins of towers have reached our days.In the Middle Ages it had a serious defensive significance. We haven't been to the castle for twenty years. And so, on the 980th anniversary of Novogrudok, we got to the historical reconstruction in the "Castle Bowl", as I understand the name of the castle complex, which we undertook thoroughly. The work of the reenactors was impressive. The corner part of the wall has been completed. An imitation of the castle wall is laid out completely around the perimeter, hence the association with the bowl. In short, you need to go and enjoy yourself on the spot.

It's great that we made the outline of the castle to understand its size in the past. Before visiting, be sure to read the history, so the visit makes sense, otherwise it's just stones. Not far from the entrance, a woman sells handmade souvenirs, speaks pure Belarusian, bought a singing bird from her, very beautiful, I recommend it)

In fact, there is nothing to look at: a historical crumbling single tower surrounded by a stone defensive wall. The prolonged reconstruction looks very sad. Sawdust, machinery, and garbage are all over the territory. If you have already decided to come to see the castle, you can climb to the top of the wall and look at the views from above and feel the unity with the history

There is little left of the castle itself, but the place is simply wonderful in its beauty and picturesqueness! Go to the observation deck at the ruins of the castle and the church, get real pleasure! There are parking spaces, coffee shops, the city itself is small, everything is very intimate.

We visited Novogrudok Castle in May 2024. At that time, reconstruction work was underway there and therefore access to the old walls was closed.
My impressions were twofold. On the one hand, it is interesting to see how the castle looked in ancient times (part of the wall has already been restored). On the other hand, a new model, he is a new model.
I hope that the part of the tower that has an authentic look will not be restored "beyond recognition"...
