A trip to Belarus, to Minsk, must necessarily include a visit to the Nesvizh Castle in the program. And not even gallop fast, but devote a day or two to it. How beautiful is the space, the park, around the castle! Full connection with nature, grounding and slowing down from the daily race. I recommend spending the night at the Palace Castle Hotel to feel yourself in ancient times and in the present day at the same time. We couldn't walk in the park - there was a very strong wind, but we went to the palace. Everything is great inside, and the square in front of the entrance, and the interior decoration, and the exposition. I really liked it. We want to visit this place in the summer, when it will be possible to walk around the neighborhood without freezing.

An amazing historical place! We were very impressed by the decoration of the castle and the expositions.
The trip was overshadowed by a visit to the Hetman restaurant. If there were a sufficient number (about 5) of available tables, they refused to serve us, because seats must be booked in advance. And where to do it and at what time? There is no information!!! Moreover, this situation occurred after 5.30 pm, when the main stream of excursions is no longer expected.

An interesting building just 100 km from Minsk. The condition of the complex is maintained at a high level. There is a hotel, souvenir shops, a restaurant and a cafe on site. The prices are average in Belarus, the food is delicious. Arriving at the castle, you can walk around the territory from the outside (beautiful landscapes with a water surface open) and inside. Buy tickets for excursions, where in an hour a competent escort will tell you about all the secrets of the castle and the vicissitudes of its inhabitants. In summer, themed concerts take place on the square inside the complex. There is a church about a 7-10 minute walk along a very picturesque route. There is enough parking space, you can also buy souvenirs here and, if you are lucky, try branded liqueurs.

We wandered around the museum with my daughter with an audio guide. We liked it.

We really wanted to go on a night tour, but alas. In the letter, they replied that the groups were not being collected, they offered to go with their family for the entire amount.

The area around is picturesque. You can walk through the park, there are many interesting monuments there. Take a ride on a steam train or a carriage ride. Put on beautiful dresses and feel like a lady of those times....
Buy unique souvenirs. There is even an area for children with air slides and all sorts of entertainment for them. There is a beach where you can sunbathe and swim.

We were very lucky - we were traveling with the owner of the business, Sergey. Very intelligent. Professionally. Not intrusive. It's a great car. The big Chevrolet SUV is fairly new. Very good and safe driving.
For a family consisting of a father, mother and two children aged 8 and 11, it will be cheaper than on a tourist bus as part of a group.
Lots of pros and no cons.

Costumed characters of the era walk through some halls of the castle. You can take pictures in national costumes. The interiors are beautiful and rich. The story is impressive. We arrived early in the morning on December 29, it was just dawn, so the decoration inside, in the courtyard, looked especially beautiful: a Christmas tree, lights. There's a crypt on the ground floor!
On the territory of the castle there is a shop with many souvenirs and a restaurant "Hetman". The service in the restaurant is not very good, but the dishes are unusual and delicious!
I recommend tincture of Krambambul with birch juice, pancakes with machanka in a pot, sausage with a finger, meat, onions and mushrooms
You can get to the castle from Minsk by car, but it is quite comfortable and by minibus, only take tickets in advance

If it seems to you that everything in Belarus is too beautiful, and people are friendly and welcoming, then an excursion to Nesvizh Castle will be a wonderful spoon for you! It is here that the first and last polite and attentive person will be a security officer (thanks to him alone!) at the entrance and exit. The caretakers are arrogant (no other way, they are all, in fact, from the Radziwill family, and you broke into their house uninvited). The exposition, to put it mildly, is modest, the number of rooms available for inspection is small (even with detailed inspections, you are unlikely to spend more than an hour and a half). Some "views" are offered to admire from a distance of ten meters or from a photo. Even where it is possible to go, some kind of work is either being carried out or being prepared everywhere (either repair, restoration, or just people with tools demonstrating vigorous activity). In any case, in whatever part of the "museum" at whatever point in time you find yourself, the staff will look at you as an annoying hindrance in his necessary (it is unclear then for whom) labors.
With this approach, we would do a virtual tour of the "castle" once in our work with visitors. There would be some advantages: visitors should not waste time on a trip, the museum should save on salaries and the safety of priceless exhibits, the staff should not work in an unloved field.
There is something to thank Nesvizh for – thanks to him, Mirsky visited (the latter is hospitable, beautiful outside and inside, interesting in general views and details).
In summary, there are many people and places in Belarus that it is certainly better to spend your time getting to know than the Nesvizh Palace and Park Complex.
