We were at the waterfall in October 2024, we were lucky with the weather: +25. The place attracts with its beauty and coolness. A historical place for both Russia and Abkhazia. We went for a walk, decided to have a snack at the cafe "like mom's." I do not recommend it. I have bad memories of the dishes of this cafe.

I recently visited a man-made waterfall, and I was completely delighted! This place is really worth attention both in summer and winter. Each season brings its own atmosphere and beauty, and I was impressed by the variety of landscapes. I also really enjoyed riding quad bikes at Quad-pedro!

important! Beware of scammers at the foot of the waterfall offering to take a picture in a burka with a papakha and mint a "special" coin. Immediately say "no", they know how to cheat, then there will be a conflict and money will be ripped off. Perhaps the only place in New Athos that I liked almost 100%. Here is the beauty of southern nature, and the ruins I love, and an ancient church, and even a mini hydroelectric power plant dating back to 1902! Abkhazia was lucky with the climate, all these ruins would have fallen apart completely) There was not enough infrastructure and competent excursions, for example, I would not refuse to wander through the abandoned railway tunnel and station, but the poster and the old grandfather did not allow me to do this...

This is one of the most famous artificial waterfalls in the world, built by local monks.Being on top of it, you should not go to the very edge of the cliff, trying to take an exclusive photo. The water is falling down at high speed, which may well make you dizzy.As you climb the stone stairs to the very top of the waterfall, pay attention to the monument stone on the right.
