If you want to feel the mid-peak atmosphere, you are definitely here. Delicious food of those times, excellent friendly service. We will definitely come back here again!
If you come to Tallinn, then you definitely need to place exactly such places where you immerse yourself in the Middle Ages. It's a very atmospheric place. Greetings from St. Petersburg. Maybe I'll see you again sometime.
A very atmospheric restaurant in the Old Town of Tallinn: wooden furniture, lack of electric lighting in the halls, candle stubs on the tables, pottery, incredible costumes of the waiters, these medieval caps on the girls are just something! The menu is unusual, non-trivial, written in an interesting language "ear, and with it three fish", delicious bread and very intoxicating beer on herbs. A wonderful place, highly recommended
It's just magic! I come here every visit to Tallinn. Delicious, authentic, you will not find such beer on herbs anywhere else. The food is delicious. Three floors where you can have lunch or dinner by candlelight with old music. There is also a shop in the restaurant where you can buy a glass, as in the photo and not only, there is a tasting of liqueurs, each for 3 euros - try it! and delicious almonds in different sprinkles. 😋

I've been there many times.
Dignities: Beautiful interior, staff in medieval costumes, delicious food and drinks. Mushroom brew, herbal beer, non-alcoholic hot ginger drink. I am in love with this place and it is definitely a must-visit. You won't find such beer anywhere.
Cons: The menu in Russian has been removed at the moment. You will be offered either Estonian or English.
A great restaurant, like a knight's castle, the food is delicious, medieval recipes. I ate meat stew, pudding with rose leaves. Everything is OK. Unusual
Very tasty medieval food, an unreal atmosphere inside the establishment. Polite staff who accurately remembers your order without writing it down.
When the borders are opened, I will definitely come back!
The restaurant has authentic cuisine and a very interesting atmosphere, because of the very low lighting (candles are burning on the oak tables), it feels like being in a medieval cave.
The cuisine is interesting, but there was no desire to visit more than once.

This place is worth visiting, at least once!!! Old Tallinn is great on its own! It feels like you're in a medieval city. And a restaurant is something. The atmosphere is first of all, then the kitchen, the waiters in original costumes. Delicious, unusual, the prices for a tourist place are normal. I hope that I will be able to visit again someday.
This is the most authentic interior I've ever seen. Wonderful shows that immerse you in the era, delicious food, amazing unusual beer on herbs. I recommend.
A restaurant of medieval European cuisine (Hanseatic League), the dishes are peculiar and vary in price. The entourage is cool - candlelight. After a winter walk, it's great to have lunch, but for an amateur. Be sure to visit once, then according to your mood.
A very interesting and thoughtful concept!I recommend it in the evening:the restaurant is all lit up with candles and very atmospheric, that's the truth, as if in the Middle Ages.Mushroom soup is perfect. And be sure to visit the restroom
The restaurant of national Estonian cuisine, located in an old colorful building in the heart of the Old Town, near the Town Hall Square. It is recommended for fans of pearl barley in all types of cooking :)
The toilet is very dirty. At first they accepted the order, after five minutes they said that the kitchen was closed (it's a pity. We would have put 3, but the beer is still just as delicious
Although the place is a tourist one and is located in the very center of the old town, it is very tasty! Beautiful dishes, beautiful interior, beautiful clothes from the waiters. Everything is antique. The prices are reasonable for the location, menu, and interior.
At the exit from the restaurant, do not forget to buy a bag of almonds in icing sugar both for yourself and as a souvenir to friends.
I was with my family at this restaurant in March 2019. Personally, I liked it very much, this place will be remembered for a long time. Very interesting atmospheric design. The lighting is purely candlelit. Everything is made of wood. A very interesting washbasin in the men's room is made in the form of a jug of water on a swing. I took mushroom soup there. This is probably one of the best mushroom soups I've ever tasted. The children really didn't like it there, everyone complained about the "strange" taste of the food.
It's a very healthy place! In the very center of Tallinn. Authentic atmosphere. Delicious dishes. I ate a duck leg - it was great! One caveat - everything happens by candlelight. Therefore, you just need to trust the skill of the restaurant staff, relax and have fun!
A great place that conveys the atmosphere of the Middle Ages. Every visit to Tallinn is accompanied by a trip to this excellent, medieval-styled restaurant. It's very cool. I advise everyone to visit.
If you want to plunge into the Middle Ages, then here you are. Everything is very entourage and delicious. I have probably never met such a courteous and friendly staff anywhere. The prices are high, but it's worth it! All roads in Tallinn lead to Olde Hansa!
Expensive, though atmospheric. For tourists, but you often don't. The kitchen is stylized as medieval, pleasant honey beer. There are always a lot of tourists, especially Finns.
Nothing good has been found, even the marketing is weak. A place in the center- cook money x 2. The menu is pulled up not from the Middle Ages but from the excited consciousness of the manager of the eatery.
The place should be perceived solely as an educational tour, it is curious to try unusual dishes and it is strange to count on a democratic price tag. The dishes are delicious, authentic, and worth the money. The staff plays their roles as required. Overall, I really liked it, it's worth going
An iconic place in Tallinn, a must-visit, but you will have to stand in line. The food is very authentic, from the centuries. Delicious, but for an amateur. We go there every time we come to Tallinn.
A very cool place in the spirit of the Middle Ages! The whole atmosphere is designed accordingly: candles instead of lamps, drawings on the walls, waiters - everything is perfect!
The food is very tasty and unusual, cooked according to medieval recipes.
In general, it is recommended for everyone to visit, 5+ this place!
More than one of our visits to Tallinn does not go without dinner at this restaurant! A peculiar menu and service! Incredibly delicious dishes, sometimes made from simple barley and lentils. The price tag is acceptable! The semi-darkness, medieval music and atmosphere, the manner of service-we like it all! A must-visit!
One can only be happy for those who plan to visit the restaurant for the first time. This is really one of the best places in the city. The price is a little more than in other places, but it's worth it. Very unusual dishes, nimble staff, and the truth is medieval music.

How many times have you always been delighted. Bravo guys. Well done
A very atmospheric place, everything is medieval. The prices are above average, but correspond to the location and quality of the food. I recommend it!
This restaurant is one of the most vivid impressions about Tallinn. Meat was ordered from the menu (meat from poultry to bear meat is available), which comes with a standard "medieval" side dish: pearl barley, some other cereals, bean bread, cabbage, etc. It would seem that simple ingredients are cooked like this, and served with such a sauce that an absolutely unique and incredible taste is created. The beer here is also of its own formulation and looks like a dense wheat ale with a slightly amber color with notes of honey and citrus. The interior is very atmospheric: the restaurant is located in the building of an old barn, which in turn was rebuilt from several merchant houses connected once, and has a wooden interior in the Gothic style.
This is an iconic tavern!
Without visiting here, you will never get into the spirit of the Old City!
It's rare, but here the young staff speaks 7 languages! Even in Russian!!!
This is a specific dive into the Middle Ages!
Life hack: beer can be ordered without cinnamon😉
The best restaurant in Tallinn, I want to go back there again and again, the service is at the highest level, I especially want to mention the waiter Gabriel, his professionalism, ability to communicate with customers and cheer up that you leave there with a full sense of satisfaction!!! Also, this restaurant has a great cuisine, the food is excellent, thanks a lot to the chefs!!!! The menu is varied, each dish has its own excellent and unique taste!!! We will definitely visit this restaurant again!!! Sincerely, guests from Russia (St. Petersburg)!!!!
A nice and pleasant place with an unforgettable interior. But drinking from an earthenware jug is not very convenient, you can not see how much remains in it and without seeing food at dusk it is difficult to understand what you are eating. The result is a great place for tourists who like the Middle Ages to visit.
