Good afternoon! I have been choosing hotels in Oludeniz for a very long time and looked at it with this concept: a boutique hotel, breakfasts, modern and beautiful design. And my choice was on Blu Luxury. It costs a lot, 4*, everything looks beautiful in the photo. After reading the reviews here and on the booking and seeing some negative ones, I decided not to dwell on them. After all, I usually always see advantages everywhere. However, this time it turned out to be a different case.
I'll start with the advantages of the hotel:
- Nice design of the territory, pool and rooms in boho style.
- Pleasant options in the form of yoga 3 times a week (albeit for beginners), master classes (one was provided for free).
- A good buffet breakfast, quite varied, there is plenty to choose from, fresh juices. My favorites: fresh pomegranate, pancakes, menemen, pistachio nut paste, quiche with vegetables.
- A quiet place (apart from the mosque nearby and calls to prayer 5 times a day, but it doesn't bother me - this is the religion here).
- The cleaning is not bad, they put soap, shower gel, shampoo, etc.
And now the cons:
- We took a deluxe room with a friend. It is worth considering that the shower and toilet are separated from the common room... the curtain)) It is very uncomfortable to go to the toilet, taking into account that the door is glass and there is a gap at the bottom (!) 15-20 cm. Accordingly, everything is heard at all! Plus the smell) Living alone is still normal, the two of us are cramped and uncomfortable.
- Upon arrival, we were given a room with a view of the wall. They asked several times to move into a room opposite with a view of the pool and mountains. They refused, referring to overbooking. Imagine our surprise when a European couple was settled in such a room with a view the next day. One room on the floor with a view remained unoccupied throughout our stay.
- Water - 1 liter per day for two :-D Told the manager that there are two of us in the room, how should we share this bottle? They sent me to buy water at the bar. Given that the hotel is located on the outskirts and the shops are far away, there is no minimarket on site. The cooler is for staff only! They were not allowed to pour even a glass of water from it.
- They also asked for a toilet spray due to the situation described above. The answer is the same: go and buy.
- When requesting relocation to another room, they constantly tried to beg us for an additional fee for upgrading the category, and it seems to me that it was overstated. We asked for relocation to our category, not another one.
- The hotel is located far from the beach, plus/minus 15 minutes walk. It's a little hard in the heat, especially during the day. We read about the transfer at the booking, but in fact there is nothing.
- The infrastructure is a little tired. The coffee machine at breakfast was constantly breaking down, the holder was broken in the shower and the water was flowing from the hose, the mattresses on the sun beds were not the first freshness.
- There are no hooks in the room at all, neither at the entrance nor for towels.
- Breakfast is from 8 to 10, I would like at least until 11. Especially considering that it takes half an hour to walk to the beach and back, it's difficult to catch breakfast if you like to swim in the morning.
- They asked my friend to separate the beds, and they didn't do it in a week. There was also one bedspread.
- And in the end, the "cherry on the cake" and the top of the unprofessionalism of the local staff. At the beginning of my stay, I came out of my room from the other side and saw a mini pool and beautiful sun beds, I decided to settle down on them. And, accordingly, she lay on them for another three days, absolutely calmly. And so, at the end of 4 days, two of the staff come up and start chasing me away from there, albeit under the guise of imaginary politeness. When I protested, they called two more (one of them, it seems, is the general manager). They referred to it as a private pool and sun beds too :-D Of course, there was no information about it, there was no sign about privacy. And if you've seen that I've been lying here for 4 days, then why not warn me about it right away? It was the humiliation of being chased in public that was especially disgusting. This should be reported in a personal conversation when I pass by the reception, for example.
- It also turned out that the general manager constantly called our hotel guide and complained about us that we were unhappy with something. It turned out when he called her for a hearing on the incident with the sunbeds. By the way, she was also not on my side and behaved unprofessionally (the receiving party from the tour operator Biblio-globus).
- After the incident above, the reception staff stopped greeting.
- There was a bias towards tourists from the Russian Federation. Although, in general, courtesy and customer orientation are at a low level.
I hope you will draw conclusions from the above. I don't recommend it. Not worth the money. Luxury is just the name written on the wall, alas.
Great, but the coffee is my dad's. The food is also not very good, the room for the newlyweds is just a seam! The toilet is practically in the same room with the bed)))
So-so concept)))
The best hotel I've seen in Turkey. Good service, modern interior, warm pool.
I will especially note the breakfast - a great variety. The only point is don't order an English breakfast, they don't understand it
