The Palan Hotel is positioned as 5 stars, but does not meet this qualification in any way, a maximum of 4 stars. For 9 nights, we had only one change of bed linen in the rooms, and this happened only after our insistent demands. Vacuuming in the rooms (we had 3 rooms for a family of 6 people) was not carried out at all. The change of towels was carried out irregularly in time. The food in the Palan hotel restaurant is mediocre, the dishes are often prepared from the remnants of the previous day's menu, quite often over-salted and over-peppered so as not to spoil. It is worth a separate effort to get a drink that is included in the card in the "FullBoard+" mode.
The ski hotel, g/l ski pass is included in the price, but there is NO drying for g/l boots. There is a very small number of cupboards in the g/l locker room of the Palan hotel for the g/l inventory of hotel guests. If you don't get a locker, you have to take your better quality skis with you to your room. TERRIBLE rental! The skis are issued with blunt edges, the slide is covered in deep scratches! And there's ice on the slopes! At our request, the boys tried to sharpen the edges of the rental skis with a file, as a result it turned out worse than it was before such a point. The qualifications of the rental staff are the LOWEST, the boy did not know that BOTH markers, front and rear, should be installed on the g /l shoe, combining the middle of the sole of the shoe with the center of gravity of the ski, he put only the rear marker, shifting it to the back of the shoe of any size. In general, our attempt to properly sharpen the edges of our skis in Palandoken and fill the ski slide with paraffin treatment simply failed, we were sent to the Turkish Ski Federation (200 meters from the Palan hotel), but there is no normal paid service of this kind at all. In general, the resort is good - despite the snowless winter, the resort staff prepared 4 long trails daily, which allowed normal skiing, going down to the hotel. Separately, we note the Konakli resort located nearby (about 25 km) with a good ski area and excellent trails (the ski pass is shared with the Palandoken area). Unfortunately, a taxi ride to Konakli is not cheap, it costs 700 liras in both directions, there are no regular buses.
I liked everything - the hotel itself, and the staff who can speak both English and Russian with you, and the free shuttle to the mountain + every day a free ski pass to one of the three mountains in the area. We also visited the sauna and the swimming pool, which was good after the mountains.
