Beautiful, clean territory. Very beautiful color of the water in the bay. There is no variety in the food, it's the same every day, but seafood is also served daily. Oriental sweets are only available at the Citadel restaurant. The rest are just plain cakes. We checked into a Deluxe room, but it was decrepit and had a view of the roof of the next block of rooms, with the sea somewhere far away on the side. Reluctantly, they were moved to a slightly smaller room, but with a better view. So it probably doesn't make sense to take a tour with a Deluxe room right away. The staff is good - cleaning is daily, the waiters almost immediately came up and brought drinks, sang songs, smiled. If swimming in the sea is important to you, then there is nothing to do there in the middle of January because of the strong wind. I practically didn't swim because it's cold. And don't be fooled that you will go on some kind of excursion and it will be warmer there, because the water is cold everywhere. We went to Paradise Island - the water is even more icy. I barely lasted 5 minutes in the water.

We visited this hotel from November 5 to November 13, 2024. I really liked the hotel: beautiful, unusual interiors) I liked everything: the food, the service and the sea. We swam in the lagoons: there are two of them, going down the stairs, but even a 5-year-old child had no difficulty getting down. So, those who write that there is nowhere to swim, I do not understand you)) I was also pleased with the warm heated pool in November.

You will always find somewhere to choose and eat. We were always well-fed and satisfied, and the 5-year-old child ate everything))
There is a place to walk on the territory. We personally did not get tired of the number of steps.
The room itself was clean, daily cleaning, huge balcony.
We lived in building 3, everything was nearby.

Beautiful hotel, gorgeous big coastline, large rooms, 40 minutes drive from the airport. It was filled up ahead of time, for which I thank you more. The contingent is mainly Europeans and Chinese, 10 percent Russians. The staff is polite and always ready to help. They asked for extra blankets and slippers in the room, they brought them right away. Cleaning is good. Drinks are served on the beach, in the lobby and in all bars and restaurants. In restaurants, the food for dinner and lunch is slightly different. Breakfast and lunch are served in two locations (the restaurant on the embankment and the main one next to the reception), dinner in three restaurants plus a la carte restaurants (one is free, the other is 35 euros per person). The food in all restaurants is varied and delicious, there is always beef, chicken, duck, seafood and grilled salmon. Pizza is served on the embankment, and delicious ice cream is served from two to five. The Ala kart restaurant did not like the fish, it was quickly replaced with another dish, for the first time in many visits to Ala kart restaurants they did not go to eat in the dining room, the service and cuisine were excellent. Entertainment options include billiards, table tennis (tipped), and a children's room (not available), but the entertainment program for children is scheduled for the whole day. Evening shows, held at the lobby bar (well, that kind of thing). There are two heated pools, but occasionally the water in them cools down, but you can swim comfortably. There is also a good access to the sea, two bays, in February the temperature is 23 degrees, you can swim, eat fish. The hotel has a place to walk, a half-hour leisurely walk from Poseidon to the amphitheater, and you can walk along the beach for an hour and a half. ATV rides are available near the hotel, there is a pharmacy and souvenir shops. In February, a strong cold wind blows, they wore sweatshirts, and the Chinese wore winter jackets. Cons: almost everywhere smokes, it is not possible to watch the evening show, due to the fact that the eyes are already watering from the smoke, it is impossible for non-smokers to breathe. The noise insulation of the rooms is poor, but the room stock is being updated, perhaps the situation will be better in new rooms. The rest took place from 07.07.2024 to 17.07.2024, we are delighted! The hotel is gorgeous with its views, the staff is competent in all matters, excellent guys with knowledge of the business, attentive and friendly, there were no problems with the language, mostly Russian speakers. The hotel has a currency exchange without problems (dollars were exchanged for smaller bills, and dollars for pounds) the territory is huge, for the convenience of movement around the hotel there is a bus running every 15 minutes from the reception to the room. Cleanliness, order everywhere, there were no problems with water or electricity in the rooms, the air conditioner was out of order, the reception bell rang, the problem was fixed in 30 minutes! The beach is protected from sharks by corals, lagoons are made, the water is very warm and clean, there are fish swimming around people like pets, we were hand-fed bread from the restaurant! At every step, you can get refreshing cocktails and ice cream for free from 14-17 o'clock. Animators work on the beach, entertain vacationers, in the evening there is a show on a special site and a disco. I advise and recommend you to visit, if possible, we will fly there again

The best memories of my stay at this hotel. The hotel that we really want to return to once again.
It was there that we got to know the beauty and diversity of the underwater world of the Red Sea. The hotel, built in the form of a fortress, fell in love with itself from the very first minutes. And the stunning home coral reef gave us fantastic and unforgettable emotions. Sometimes there were so many fish around that it seemed like we were swimming in an aquarium.

We had a rest at the end of April, a nice, beautiful hotel, in principle, there are no complaints about the service, if you leave a tip,the cleaning is super, yes, there are complaints about the food, but small,the main thing for which I put not 5 but 4 is that they asked for a normal room when checking in,accompanied by 20 bucks and gave a room in the 2nd building a little the fact that he himself is small, so the windows overlook the animation with the promenade, it's impossible to fall asleep there before 12 at night, or you need to take earplugs, then of course they changed to the 3rd building, where the room is bigger and quiet, but the sediment remains.

Of the advantages, the first line, the rooms are good (for Egypt), the cleaning is normal, but the floors in the rooms are not particularly cleaned, the hotel itself is beautiful, there are always sun beds on the beach. Well, that's where the advantages end for me.
Minuses: the food for a 5-star hotel is just terrible, in order to somehow eat, you need to go through all the restaurants, there is very little choice, all dishes with a lot of spices. Last year we were at 4 and the food was much better there. Sweets are normal only in the evening in one restaurant at the reception, the rest is disgusting. There are coffee machines, but the coffee is so-so. The quality of the food is also lame, my friends were poisoned, and my stomach was constantly churning.
The beach is a huge beach, but you can swim in 2 places, in other places it is forbidden. Corals are mandatory even in the lagoon. Plus it's always very windy here.
Attitude- nowhere in Egypt have I seen such an attitude in Russians, they may not say hello, they may not approach, often with a dissatisfied face. But the Germans are simply adored) the hotel is mostly populated by Europeans, Koreans, and Chinese.
Location- sensomol is about 20-30 minutes away by taxi (taxi at the reception is $ 25 round trip, uber is 12 round trip with waiting), there is nothing around the hotel, you will not get anywhere on foot.
In the evening, there is nothing to do at the hotel except an evening walk along the embankment, the animation is very poor and not interesting.
I do not recommend this hotel, it does not reach 5 stars.

Excursions are sold right at the hotel, we took both VIP and regular ones. The usual ones were better. The guide is more pleasant, there is more space on the bus, the trip is more economical.

The hotel is good. The rooms are very spacious and clean, and also have a terrace (large balcony). The cleaning is normal, although many reviews complain about it. Towels are changed every day. The beds are very comfortable. The air conditioner cools well, but it makes noise if at maximum (it didn't bother me). Drinking water in the room is constantly being added. There is a kettle, tea and instant coffee.
The hotel itself is located completely on the outskirts of Hurghada, just in the desert, so you can't go to the city or to the store. There are shops on site – the prices are appropriate.
The territory is really huge, so it's better to live in the rooms of those buildings that stand along the beach.
The hotel is not for the elderly (you need to walk a lot) and not for children (there is no children's animation and not quite a "children's" sea)). For me, both are only a plus.
The service is very unobtrusive and not exactly unfriendly, but, let's just say, quite indifferent. The architecture is beautiful. Very well maintained plants, lots of flowers.
The pools are VERY small for such a huge hotel (I did not understand the delights of the infinity pool, it is tiny). For me, there are no problems, I never swim in them anywhere, but for people who prefer pools to the sea, this is not an option. Near the pools, as well as in the pools, there is nowhere to fall.
In fact, there is no sea in this hotel, if we are talking about the sea-the sea. In fact, there are 3 lagoons (2 of them are artificial) and you can swim out of these artificial lagoons into the marina, but they are not allowed into the open sea – you can swim to the exit from the marina at most. I was more than happy with that. These lagoons have very warm water, from which you can generally not leave all day and are absolutely safe in the sense of sharks. There are a lot of fish there. It's kind of like saltwater pools. For people like me, who really loves the sea, but at the same time is very afraid of the depth – that's the thing. There is a small coral reef in the marina. It was quite enough for me. The entrance is anywhere only in the coral. For such a huge hotel, there is little room for swimming, it is good that most of those who come to it do not go to the sea. But, as I said, I really liked these lagoons precisely for their isolation from the open sea.
The food is of high quality, the choice is decent, there are no queues anywhere, even for something like that... You definitely won't stay hungry. Meat is cooked delicious, they don't know how to cook fish. Meat is chicken and beef. As "specialties" - mutton and duck (I saw both once and the other once) Seafood once had shrimp, which they spoiled. Surprisingly very tasty soups. Again, surprisingly delicious cheeses (both hard and cottage cheese, such as Philadelphia) and cold cuts. Pasta is well prepared and pizza is very tasty. Vegetables and fruits are standard. Compared to Egypt 10-15 years ago, food has become much more modest. There are a lot of dishes, most of them are cooked with high quality, but there are no frills. It's the same for breakfast all the days and by the end of the vacation you get tired of it. And the bias of the dishes is more towards what Arab tourists, who are the majority here, eat. A lot of baking (I haven't tried it), I tried dessert once – the ball is very tasty, a lot of bakery. Freshly squeezed juices are only vegetable and you can also ask for apples, or melons, and then only in one restaurant. In all others – packaged juice. I drank only wine from alcohol. You can drink, but it's just very simple and for any drink you need to walk a long distance along the beach (waiters work only at the natural lagoon, where most tourists are). 60-70% of the tourists are Egyptians. There are practically no Russians.
Neveland is not worth going there, amateur activity at the same time with a focus on Europe, although I thought it would be something national.

There is a safe in the dressing room. The food is quite acceptable, I am quite a fastidious person in food, I always found something to eat. The only thing that was very disappointing was the desserts (they are not delicious at all), only if baked in the morning or at the Columbus cafe. By the way, this cafe has the most delicious coffee. Alcohol is of very low quality (local), it is better to take it with you from home or buy it on departure at duty free. The coastline is more than a kilometer long, but you can swim in the sea only in one place (a small lagoon up to 20 m long), so it's very crowded there, you can't swim much. But we saw 7 species of fish in this lagoon, they swim around and you feel like in an aquarium. Since we had a rest in early July, the temperature was around +40+43. The water in the sea is +30. Since the hotel is made of stones, they heat up at such a temperature and give additional air heating during the day, it was "unbearably" hot to walk and walk around the hotel during the day. The air conditioner was not working well in our room, we called a repairman through the reception, but he could not do anything. At night, the temperature in the room was +30, it was uncomfortable to sleep. It is a pity that when the hotel was half empty, we were not moved to another room with a normally working air conditioner. I recommend this hotel only in the season from October to April, in other months it is very hot there because of the heated stone walls.

The doctor does not give a price list before the procedure and does not inform about the price. Pretends that he does not understand either Russian or English… Well, it's your own fault! There is one cool bay with a depth of about 4-5 meters. It is fenced off from the open sea like a swimming pool. Sharks will not swim, and water is drawn directly from the sea into it. Everyone swims in this bay. We found 2 stingrays in it)) as for the fish..))) There are a lot of them here. And there are a lot of sea cucumbers on the bottom) I think that's what they are called) In general, put corals on your feet and go ahead. You have a good view underwater. There are a lot of crabs on the rocks of the coves laid out by the hotel. Yes, and also: electric cars and a blue bus run on the territory of the hotel)) if you do not want to walk, then you can get to your building or on it. All rooms have sea views - this is how the hotel is built. And the hills. I won't write down the minuses - we didn't notice them)) if only the airline... But this is a topic for another review.

We had a rest at the hotel in June of this year. The hotel is nice, the staff is friendly and friendly. I always tried to help if it was necessary. The rooms were cleaned cleanly and in a timely manner, restaurants with a wide variety of dishes for every taste, and in different parts of the hotel, i.e. it is not necessary to go to the main building. Among the disadvantages, I would like to mention the Golden Booda bar, which for some reason is located inside the 4th building. And when there is some kind of party in the bar, and it usually lasts until 3 a.m., then music can be heard perfectly at night in the rooms of the fourth building, you can only fall asleep with earplugs, but even so the music will be heard. Our room was a few other rooms away from this bar and the music was perfectly audible. I can't imagine how people slept in the rooms that are located across the wall from this bar. And perhaps this is the only disadvantage of this hotel in our opinion.

Albatros Citadel Hotel Review
We rested from 17.10.2023 to 24.10.2023. The tour from Moscow cost 260,000 rubles for two people.
We arrived at 10 a.m. and at 11 we were already checked in, although check-in is at 14:00. This is a huge plus for them, I'll give them 5 points.
Let's start with the pros, as there will be many more of them here than the cons.
1. The territory of the hotel is incredibly beautiful and huge. For those who like to take pictures, there are 1,000,000 gorgeous locations here.
We got room 5125, and it is not very close to the reception, but this does not spoil the rest in any way. But the view from the window is just perfect, and the entrance to the sea is not far from the room.
Also, a bus runs through the hotel every 15 minutes, which will take you either to your room or to the restaurant /sea / reception.
2. Delicious food.
It was delicious for us at breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
There is always an opportunity to find something to your liking, as there are 3 free restaurants on site where you can eat. Everyone's assortment is slightly different.
They have the most delicious coffee in the Columbus Cafe. In other places, it's hardware, I don't really like it.
3. Staff
We were delighted with the staff at the restaurants and cafes. All the guys are very polite, nimble, smiling. They can come up and ask if they want to bring some drinks and if everything suits us. So far, this is the best staff of all the hotels I've been to.
4. Entering the sea and bays
It is precisely into the sea with sand that only one was found on the territory, and for people who do not really know how to swim, it is considered ideal.
There are two bays.
In the bay, which is near the stage, the approach is very convenient — the legs will be intact.
But the bay, which is near the Food court, did not really like the approach and stones: it is better to go in special shoes.
There are two large swimming pools on the territory.
Disadvantages:
1. The rooms do not correspond to the declared level of the hotel. Perhaps we got just such a room, and there are more beautiful ones in the hotel. But this does not spoil the vacation in any way, since the beauty of the territory makes up for everything.
2. Entertainment. The hotel is mostly very quiet, even the music is not always playing. There are various shows in the evening. We visited only one thing — we didn't like it at all. I only liked it when they sang live, because the singers had beautiful voices.
Fans of hanging out are clearly not here.

We had a vacation with my husband from May 27 to June 7, 2024.
I must say the hotel is decent and yes we would come back here.
We were placed in the sixth building. The room is large and clean. Large balcony with sea view. Towels were changed every day. The bed linen was changed every three days. Bathrobes are provided, slippers are not (maybe for a fee). There is a safe (free of charge). Instead of a closet, there is a whole dressing room (very convenient, everything is easily placed). The air conditioner was working properly.
Food: chicken, beef, fish - every day. Shrimp - there were 3 times in 10 days of rest. Squid more often, but not every day. Vegetables, greens every day. Very tasty desserts, pastries. The juice is freshly squeezed only in the morning (carrots, apples, peppers, herbs, cabbage, beets - the whole assortment of what juice can be made from). There were few fruits. What happened every day: bananas, grapefruits are bitter and sour; plums are sour; melons are juicy; apples are very tasty. Next, which was rare: tangerines were only on the first two days of our arrival, watermelon was given only three times in 10 days.
The beach is clean, there were enough sun beds for everyone. We were bitten by midges in the late afternoon (but not every day), we even had to leave the beach. The sea is clean, beautiful, there are a lot of fish, and what is very pleasing is that the bathing places are separated from the sea by a net and stones for safety purposes.
I can't say anything about animation because we weren't interested in it at all. I know that the guests were entertained both in the afternoon and in the evening.

We had a rest with my mother from 11.09 2023 to 09/20/2023 (We went on the recommendation of friends). A chic hotel, European music (mostly cover versions of famous hits), all rooms with sea views, few children, Russian tourists about 20%, Arabs 30% and Germans, Austria, Slovakia, Belgium 50%. Delicious food, the hotel and the beach are clean, the room cleaning is excellent, towels, bed linen are in excellent condition. There are many locations for photos and where you can sit and drink wine and coffee. There is no silly animation in the evenings, live music, performers and performances change every evening. I have not found a single minus for myself, I will definitely come back!

A wonderful hotel!
Honestly, at first we drove with caution - we read negative reviews about the kitchen, the beach, cleanliness.
But, as they say, I won't believe it until I see it myself. And he was right!
The hotel is great. The cuisine is varied. There are also regular dishes (buffet) so are the dishes of the day - fish, meat, fruits. There is a PP table - it was just a surprise.
In addition to the main restaurant, there are three more with authentic dishes, but a limited menu. These are la'card restaurants that are fashionable to get to by appointment.
The sweet table will even move the Turkish cuisine - every day at least 5 different desserts are served.
There are different beaches - both fenced coves with platforms for acrobatic diving, and small coves in a coral reef. Everything is cozy, cleanliness and safety are monitored everywhere.
The territory itself is huge. 8 buildings with a very interesting location. For those who are too lazy to move around in the heat, there is a shuttle that will take you anywhere within the hotel.

A chic hotel...These thoughts arise when a foot crosses the threshold of this hotel. Stunning sea views from the lobby, a gorgeous promenade with a marina, lots of bars and restaurants. Unfortunately, I was in January and I couldn't enjoy all the charm of staying at this hotel and the sea. There are many pools, there was one warm one where you could swim comfortably. And if it weren't for the wind, it would be possible to skimp in the sea.
The room was given in the 6th building, which is quite far from the main restaurant, but there is a shuttle service on the territory, and it takes only 7 minutes to walk. The room is old, you can feel it. But, the view from the balcony is something. In general, the Red Sea is fascinating... the whole hotel is decorated with coral, which is the feature of the hotel. The food is quite varied, they cook well. There are good drinks at the bar. Delicious coffee, ice cream...in general, in principle, there is everything for recreation, so as not to deny yourself anything. The hotel is aimed at guests + 16, there were no small children at all, but it will be hard with children there - steps everywhere, a vast territory. There is a big problem with room cards that stop working, but going to the reception solves it.
I would like to mention the Golden Buddha! The restaurant is paid, but it's worth it! Very interesting decoration of the restaurant, delicious seafood, so if there is an opportunity, it is definitely worth going!
Of course, it's possible to just get out and go outside the hotel, but there's nothing there, the desert and walking to the nearest busy area is a very unwise idea. But you don't really want to leave the hotel, because there is everything you need. The shops at the hotel have a souvenir shop, bottled oils, bathing accessories, etc.
This is probably one of the few hotels where I would like to return again! The hotel is very unusual and memorable! It's worth the money for sure!

There is also a bay on the left side of the hotel, at the very end by Poseidon: there is already a bay in the sea, it is also very nice there. The sand. The fish are near the shore, all swimming with a mask. And you don't even have to go to the reef. The hotel also has its own reef. Diving can be ordered. The hotel is windy. And there will always be winds. Therefore, I definitely won't recommend it in cold weather. We were in early March, well, it's very hard to get in and out of the water. The Infinity pool was heated. There is another pool on top, already a shallower one. There are mostly families with children there. Therefore, come in warm weather, when it is already about 30 degrees Celsius. The breeze, on the contrary, will blow over and help to transfer the heat.
We lived in the 2nd building. Beautiful view of the Marina and yachts (view from the room in the photo). The room is about 50 square meters. The beds are large and the mattress is comfortable. On the second day, we were given bathrobes and slippers. But this is for money, they gave us dollars and asked for it. The bar was replenished every day for free. Initially, they were not in the room. There was always hot water in the shower. The balcony. I really liked the double room. The best buildings, as for me, are 2,3 and 4. Everything is near and close. And they are updated and renovated. The rest of the buildings are still a bit far away and you will have to walk a lot. Or wait for a bus or a tuk-tuk. There are only stairs on the territory. As far as I know, there is an elevator in only 3 buildings. I would not recommend this hotel to the elderly. It's going to be hard. Animation. That's where I lowered my grade. Frankly, weak. It is mainly aimed at European pensioners. And the whole hotel is focused on them. I understand that this hotel is a relax type. But, God, these guys are like sleepy flies. They were, in principle, never seen.
Saved the beach volleyball. I bought a ticket to a club on their territory. At first, the animator told me $15, and I'll be there in 2 hours. He said it was already 20. Don't waste your money. The music is not about anything. But the berry on the cake was that they didn't even take me to the club. At the appointed time, the animators just walked past me. The level of organization there is zero, this is the first time I've seen it. Our Russian guys are just smart in terms of organization. As a result, I went to the club alone. For children, animation entertainment is also at the "village school" level. The hotel is not for children. They won't have anything to do there. Just go out and have fun.
The rest of the staff were generally smart and tried to bring drinks. Everyone was in time. But there is a man walking around the territory who "breeds" for a massage. The prices charge unrealistic. 150 bucks. Of course it's not worth it. I went for a full-body massage for $50 an hour. I didn't need peeling. The girl was massaging. I liked. Just bargain with him. The second time, I went for a full-body massage for 40 dollars. I was surprised that someone was paying $100-150.
