A great place for organ music lovers.
Organ: height - 11 meters, width - 7 meters, depth - 3 meters.
It was installed in 1975.
The sound is amazing......
A beautiful brick building almost in the center of Pitsunda. After a few days of beach holidays, you want to give food to your mind and then you can walk around this complex with pleasure, see the ruins of the old bell tower, see the ancient aqueduct, chapel, monks' cells and stroll through the park.
The Cathedral of Panteleimon the Healer (Abkhazia, New Athos) was remembered by me with frescoes, including St. Seraphim of Sarov and ancient oak, worn out by tree worms, but operating transformer benches (stasidia)
We attended an organ music concert, and the sound of the instrument and the talent of the performer are impressive. The acoustics are amazing. We were in early May, it's cool in the temple, it's better to take a blouse with you.
An ancient temple, with a chapel nearby. Services are held at the site of the ruins in a tent-mounted temple. Good, friendly priests, divine services are conducted in two languages - Abkhazian and Russian. Makes an indelible impression, a solemn rank.If you stop nearby, go, you will not regret, worship in such an environment in an ancient Christian land will not be forgotten for a long time!👍
In principle, the temple is not bad from the outside and inside, but there is an organ inside. He sings sometimes. If someone likes it, I don't mind, but I don't like the music.Squeaky, boring, and of the same type.
Suddenly I found out that Abkhazia was Orthodox even before the whole of Russia, the 4th century! Not 10.
A very interesting tour and an amazing organ!!!
It's hard to describe emotions. I always feel the power and energy of centuries in such places. It is a pity that part of the temple is filled with chairs and closed. You can't go for a walk.
The chapel-temple is actually a very small chapel, so services are held outside in a tent. There is a portable altar in a separate tent. The services are held in Russian and Abkhaz, so they are longer than usual. There are few parishioners, mostly vacationers. The parish, I must honestly say, is not rich.
The Church of St. Andrew is used as a museum.
The 10th-century temple in Pitsunda was built in the form of a cross with three apses and naves. The temple inside requires renovation, it looks much better from the outside. There is an organ in the temple, concerts are held. The territory is well maintained
A place filled with history - I recommend you to visit. Everything is well preserved to this day. Inside the temple is the building of the first temple on this site.

The ancient restored temple (the internal restoration is not yet fully completed)
And the organ hall is inside. There are even concerts there.
The temple was originally built in the 6th century, in the 10th century it was rebuilt and has been preserved in this form to this day. We were here on an excursion, it was very interesting and informative. An organ is installed in the temple, concerts are held, who has been there - everyone is delighted. We didn't have time to stay. There is a museum and a shop with church paraphernalia and souvenirs on site. There is a service on weekends. A must-visit!
I don't know how to describe my feelings: the delight of the envelopes or the sadness that a temple with a great history was simply desecrated and a concert hall was made for commercial purposes. Sandblasting cleaned the walls of frescoes so that the sound of the organ sounded "perfect"....
It is a very atmospheric place, but there is nothing to do there without an excursion, the entrance costs 200 rubles an excursion every hour, sort of.
It's a pity that we didn't get to the concert of organ music, and it's a little expensive (although who knows how)

A very blissful, quiet place. The temple itself is small, literally for one or two people. There is a place to sit. At the entrance, handkerchiefs for women can be taken. I've been there several times and it's always quiet and peaceful, there are no people.
A good place to visit. Recommend. I couldn't get to the concert of organ music, but I had an excursion program. Lucky. A team tour at the entrance. Check with the cashier.
A small chapel where you can turn to God in your thoughts. There is an ancient one in front of the chapel..built in the 6th century, the temple with the only organ in Abkhazia. (..what chapel attendants don't like..so these are curious raids by vacationers before organ music concerts..and they declare it quite sharply...which they are right about. ..Find another time to communicate with God...and you will always be welcome).
The current temple is a chapel on the territory of the museum complex in Pitsunda. Small, beautiful and cozy. Divine services are held here according to a certain schedule. Priests and monks from other churches and monasteries of Abkhazia come to do this.
There is a church shop where polite and very friendly employees are on duty. I recommend visiting this wonderful place.
It 's a beautiful place. We were passing through , purposefully did not stop by . But if suddenly you can take a walk along the way, you may like it. We were lucky with the weather
