A favorite family vacation spot. We have been vacationing here for years. Everything is fine, both the location of the hotel and the rooms, and the hospitable hosts. We really like to sit on the terrace in the evening, drink tea and watch the sunset. This is a separate kind of pleasure!

There was an ambiguous impression of the hotel, so the rating is average. Beautiful sea view from the roof of the hotel. It's generally very beautiful there.But the repair is tired. The towels are stained. There is no cleaning and garbage removal. I begged for toilet paper every time. And when I asked for two rolls at once, they refused. Funny. It's like I'm taking her home)) In general, we had a good rest, but I don't want to return to this hotel anymore. There are better places in Abkhazia.

I'll start with a good one, the location is of course excellent, the room has a balcony, the hotel is on the first line. Then there was a solid negative, we sat in the lobby for almost 2 hours upon arrival, there was no staff, check-in from 14-00, we checked in at almost 16-00.
Bed linen and towels are not changed, and of course no room cleaning, it's generally trash.
The water in the shower is barely running, there is no pressure at all.
There is one common refrigerator per floor, guests are piling up food, there is nowhere to put a couple of bottles, the hotel is not cheap, you can put a mini fridge in each room.
30.07. there was an accident in the energy sector throughout Abkhazia, there was a shutdown for almost a day, of course the hotel is not to blame, but in such cases there should be a generator and a supply of Eurocube water, I bought water in 5 liters in the store, bought 7 pcs. for the toilet in a day, and only in the evening water was brought to the hotel.
It was not the first time I came to Abkhazia, it was always good in all the hotels, it just bombed me here.

We had a vacation with friends in September. We liked everything!!! I read the reviews and am surprised, we had no problems with electricity or water. We occupied 2 rooms, the rooms were clean, the bed linen was snow-white. The location of the hotel is just a bomb! On the very first coastline and in the center of the entire embankment, there are parties in the evenings. For example, in Sochi, at such a price with such a location near the sea, you will hardly find anything in a row, and you will not find such a clean sea in Sochi!))) The staff is very attentive, they will always help and tell you what, where, where and how. In the lobby, on the coffee table, there is a description of all the excursions, the price is the same as on the streets, but the tour cars drive right up to the hotel, which is very convenient and safer, because they arrange for you and are waiting for you. And as for rotavirus, the sea is warmed up from above 27 degrees, you can not swallow anywhere. And it is better not to buy food on the streets (as well as everywhere else, especially in hot countries), focus on canteens and restaurants where Abkhazians themselves eat, and of course monitor their own hygiene. Well, for the rest, probably who is going for what, we went beyond the sea and beyond nature, we liked everything. I recommend it!!!

At the moment, we are in this guest house, we booked a three-seater through a tour agency, we did not really like it, since the window overlooks the neighboring hotel, we were offered another option, with a panoramic window on the entire wall with a view of the sea, the room is large, cozy, the bathroom is chic, there is a refrigerator, a kettle, air conditioning-everything is super, but there is a minus, you throw out the garbage yourself, the rooms are cleaned, on day 3_4, at the request of residents, bed linen is changed, do not forget that this is a guest house, not a hotel, but this is not a problem, we are not glove boxes, water as everywhere else throughout Abkhazia, there is enough to wash, we like it, a veranda with a barbecue where you can sit and watch the sea, there are a lot of cafes, a lot of music, you won't have to sleep until 12 o'clock, well, we don't sleep at this time, thank you very much, I recommend

Probably this is an Abkhazian service). I didn't like it. We stayed one night, thanks to the owner of the hotel allowed, as they usually have a check-in of three days.
Otherwise, I didn't like anything. But this is Abkhazia... the repair is already old. It seemed to smell of mold. The water pressure is weak. The water was cold in the evening, I couldn't wash myself. A little better in the morning.
But in general, it is not very well maintained in the shared kitchen. There are only towels in the room. And nothing else at all. We were in November, maybe in the summer it is perceived differently.

I don't know who writes good reviews here, apparently only friends of the owner of this hotel. The only good thing is the proximity to the sea. The rest is terrible, the room is dirty, they settled in after 40 minutes of waiting, while the owner also ran over us that we had complained to the tour operator, and he did not have to roll out the Red Carpet for us. The mattress is torn, the view from the window is on the wall of another building, it smells damp, fungus in the bathroom. There is no kitchen where you can cook breakfast. There is no promised hair dryer. It's the most horrible place I've ever seen. The pool does not work, although it was also announced when choosing a hotel. I do not advise you to stay there and I will go around this terrible place myself😡😡😡😡😡

The hotel is not bad.
Convenient location.
On the first coast line, which is a plus for walking along the embankment, daily swimming, evening rest.
However, if you want to sleep, then music from nearby establishments will overwhelm you until 1.00-1.30.
There are canteens and cafes nearby.
The repair is not new, but it looks decent.
There is no parking near the hotel or it was not offered to us.
There are towels, but there was no foot towel. We didn't take a suite, maybe that's the point.
The spouse saw 1 ant.

We have been vacationing since August 11, 2024, the guest house is not worth the money they charge for accommodation, no one cleans the rooms, they do not change the bed until you tell them yourself and towels as well, ventilation is bad or there is none at all, you pull things out of the closet, and they are wet, they write the presence of a pool, it is under repair, and most importantly, the rude and not friendly host, I do not recommend this guest house!!!

Excellent hotel on the first line of Gagra.
The sea is 20 meters away, restaurants, cafes, shops, a Ferris wheel and even a water park, all within walking distance... An excellent guest house is clean and cozy, located 20 meters from the beach!!!
There is a loggia towards the beach, also on the 4th floor (roof) there is a terrace with a barbecue area and a magnificent view of the coast and the black sea!!!

We had a rest with my husband from 08/16.23 to 08/21.23., we are not whimsical so we liked everything. The room is a double standard. Shower, bathroom, air conditioning, TV with 10 channels. Bed. There is everything for living. In the evening, we went out on the balcony, which is located in the shared kitchen, the sea view is amazing, music from the Flamingo cafe, enjoyed a rest with a glass of wine. The most important thing is that the sea is within walking distance. There are many cafes, canteens along the coast, and an amusement park nearby. The shops. The market is a bit long, but you can walk for a walk. So you can rest.

Fear and horror! Separately, I want to say about the air conditioner! The number 7500 is not small for Abkhazia! Condey is not working! They settle in and are silent, then they tell me that I want too much, there is no tension in the city. The conditions are not met, deception. The only advantage of this hotel is its proximity to the sea. Otherwise, I am completely disappointed both in the hotel and in general from this republic, which is too advertised. When booking a room, for 5400 for a minute, they said there is a sea view, there is a refrigerator, a kettle, a hairdryer in the room. In fact, there is one common refrigerator per floor, there is a kettle only on the 3rd floor, there is no hair dryer, the bed is such that it is scary to go to bed so as not to fall apart, a full room of Mosquitoes. Everyone left bitten, and they also caught lichen👍 The room has not been cleaned once in 5 days. The view from the window is "stunning" on the wall of the neighboring hotel. The relatives lived in a 4-bed room on the 3rd floor, there is a view of the sea, but without a balcony, just framed windows and there is a refrigerator, BUT the room has a terrible stench of sewage. There is a barbecue area on the 4th floor, as stated, BUT it is renovated, there are also clothes drying ropes hanging there, on which construction dust flies. We walked all day, we came tired to the room, I started to sort things out and I understand that the floors are all in sand, as if they walked in shoes before us and did not wash the floors, then I decided to check the floors everywhere, from the side of the window by the bed there are wisps of someone else's hair, I attach a photo, the bed is held on stumps that are in the web And at night it's like bark beetles are scratching under the bed....there were also pieces of tangled hair behind the toilet, toilet paper is a separate story, I took it to take a picture so I almost cut my hands😃from the window there is a view of the wall😅, they made a room out of a shoe apparently) walls and furniture are straight from the garbage, everything is old and broken.hair dryer on request, what does it mean on request? A very nice hotel, located in the very center of Novy Gagra, near the new shell colonnade, 20 meters from the beach. Spacious rooms with new furniture. There is a shared kitchen with a microwave, kettle, dishes, furniture, where you can cook for yourself, or just drink coffee sitting on a large balcony, admiring the seascapes. There is a seating area on the roof. The hosts are very friendly, answer any questions.

I read the reviews below and am amazed that the sent bots are writing. We rested and stayed at this hotel in July of this year, and for the second year in a row. The room is clean, there was no mold, logs under the bed, stink, etc., neither last year nor this year. The room was equipped with a hairdryer, a small refrigerator, glasses... Everything happened. They write about the rudeness of the owner. So I want to say that yes, the person is peculiar and strict. But we have never had a conflict with him, because we need minimal respect and the person responds in kind. For a second, I even introduced these guests to Ala Sol-Iletsk, who themselves, I'm sure, began to be rude. They write there is no stove, there was, but they were not allowed to use it... And we were allowed, because, I repeat, it is necessary to be able to behave with people in a human way, as well as leave order after cooking! The bed was snow-white, although there were blankets in place of two blankets, but fresh and pleasant to the body. The air conditioners are working properly, there were no problems. I got one star this year for paying the full price for the room, and the terrace on the 4th floor was under renovation. The pool was also not working (also renovated). While everything is not functioning, we could reduce the price. Otherwise, we are satisfied. Uncle Volya is a good man, do not believe the comments of offended people. A professional person needs an approach. Anyone who works with people will understand me!

On August 13, 2022, we stopped at,, the most amazing hotel,, Flight of the Seagull! First impressions are super, beautiful, and most importantly, the sea is 20 meters away! In fact: the septic tank is rare! For 5800 a day to live in a moldy small room, without a working air conditioner, without water, an eternally smelly kitchen, with cockroaches on the 2nd floor, with torn window sills glued to tape, without a hair dryer, shampoo, without cleaning the room, what can I say, even a towel, which for me should be changed every day, they gave me one for three on the 5th day, because the laundry does not dry (I begged for it myself). The most important thing is hidden, that the whole hotel with rotavirus information, everyone was vilified and vomited, we are no exception! It was the most terrible vacation of my life! Rospotrebnadzor and the sanitary inspection station YAB recommended there, and those who want a quality vacation for their not small money, I advise you to choose another place!

Good afternoon!
We decided to visit Abkhazia this summer, while access to other countries is limited. The choice fell on the new hotel on the seashore "Flight of the Seagull". I read in the reviews that in 2019-2020 the hotel was not completed, and I hoped in every possible way that by this summer all construction work would be completed, but in vain. The room rate is 5900 per day.
We took a two-room room for a family. Upon prior communication with the owner, a refrigerator was promised in the room, but in fact there was no refrigerator in the room. It was said that there is a shared refrigerator in the hallway, you can use it. Well, okay, not the most important thing. We checked in, everything is fine. Out of home habit, we decided to turn on the TVs (there are only 2 in the room), they are standing, but they do not work. It turned out that the specialist is away for a week and we need to try to do something ourselves, although even the antenna is not connected to the TV (not smart). They asked to solve this problem, but they did not receive anything until the end of the vacation. Well, okay, not the most important thing, we didn't come to watch TV, especially since the stunning nature of little Abkhazia shocks and smooths out a lot.
At 7 a.m., we woke up to the long-forgotten sounds of a working garbage truck outside the window and the "awesome" smell of sewage from our bathroom, these sounds and smells haunted us throughout our vacation. Well, it's not the most unpleasant thing, but we're on the seashore, I tell myself, and we're going swimming.
The beach is free. Sun beds 200 rubles. for the whole day.
At 6 p.m. after the beach, attempts to wash up end in failure, since there is practically no water pressure. So come from the beach earlier or much later. At 22 o'clock, you can take a shower with pleasure, ignoring the above smells.
Regarding nutrition: it is easiest to eat in nearby cafes and canteens, it is cheaper and more pleasant. Since the kitchen at the hotel is limited to a kettle, a microwave and a few broken plates, if no one has taken them before you. There are no glasses or decanter in the rooms, which is so necessary in the south in conditions of constant water demand.
The host was quite good-natured, answering the usual questions of tourists, such as where to go, where to buy, etc.
By the way, there is an indoor small heated pool, but it is paid (400 rubles / day), provided that you buy excursions from the hotel owner, the pool is free.
Room cleaning - upon request to the maid, laundry - also (150 rubles). The Internet was good in our room only in the hallway.
Having traveled to many countries and cities, we are used to the fact that everything is never perfect and we need to take advantage of everything that happens.
And then an incident happened to us: they brought the children home (7 and 13 years old - not babies after all), put them to bed, went outside for a walk themselves. When I returned home at 2 a.m., I did not find my room key. It wasn't the first time, probably, this happened to every tourist at least once. We decided to ask for a duplicate from the owner (he is also the administrator), it turned out that there is no duplicate in nature, and you can get into the room through the balcony of the next room, where people sleep, okay, he's probably kidding. Children sleep soundly. Half an hour later, blankets were brought to us and we were offered to sleep on sofas in the corridor. Funny, previously unknown sensations... We laughed and went to bed for a couple of hours. At 7 o'clock, the children opened the room to us (thanks to the garbage truck, which worked as an alarm clock every morning!). Then they asked daily where to get a duplicate so that we could make a key, the duplicate was searched for and could not be found in any way, the room was open and the owner was not upset at all. Until it was time for the end of the vacation, I had never heard so many nasty things from the owner in my address: "all such ungrateful people come, lose, then silently leave"; "the kind soul and responsiveness of the owner is boundless"; "you need to watch your children" (what does my children have to do with it - I still did not understand por), etc., etc. I did not succumb to the provocations of an enraged person, I calmly tried to solve the issue with a duplicate. Screams, resentment at the whole world, bad mood.... as a result, the phrase of the owner "I have a duplicate worth 1,500 rubles." They asked to show the approved price list. I was the first to get upset at the end, put 2000 rubles on the table and left. The husband and children listened for another 15 minutes to information about what ungrateful tourists were coming and the owner, feeling emotional, returned 1000 rubles.
I don't mind the money, the situation is unpleasant and stupid. Mountains, rivers and waterfalls of Abkhazia!!! I need you to restore my mental balance, but no, it's time to pack up and leave :)
But in general, New Gagra, and indeed Abkhazia, we really liked, we plan to return someday. Don't spare money on excursions, it's worth seeing. The sea is a small part of the attractions.

We had a rest in August, the cost per day is 8000 rubles, a quadruple room (double bed and sofa), a refrigerator on the floor, old furniture. The rooms are not cleaned, garbage is not taken out, electricity was lost almost every morning, and with it water and Internet (allegedly problems with electricity throughout Abkhazia). The air conditioner was barely working. All the sand from the beach was dragged into the room, the linen is not changed, the cigarette butts on the balcony overlooking the sea are just mountains. There is no pool!Unsanitary conditions on the beach are complete, local dogs live there, they also eat leftovers, they shit there. No one cleans the beach, it stinks terribly, while the umbrella is 200p, the sunbed is 200p. Do not try to go with the children! 100 children a day are being treated at a local hospital for rotovirus. I don't recommend it at all!

There is a shared kitchen where you can cook yourself, but there is a dining room across the street from the hotel, breakfast and lunch there, dinner in different ways. The staff is friendly and helpful, there are no problems. They give a detailed and comprehensive answer to the questions, advise excursions and places to visit. It is located on the first line, at night you can hear the sound of the sea through the open window.

Everything in the rooms is old, the floor is cold, the laminate has been laid for a long time. The cleaning in the room is disgusting. But this is also the most harmless, the most dangerous thing in this miserable place is its owner, Vladimir. He's an alcoholic, drinking right in the living room. We decided to move out right on the first night, as this inadequate person did not return the advance payment for 2 days (10000r) and also threatened. Be careful, don't get fooled by a good view, there are enough normal hotels with a view, don't waste time, money and precious vacation time!

A terrible place, we moved here from Pitsunda, the administrator showed the rooms in the photo, there is a swimming pool, everything seems to be fine for 3000 rubles per day, but after we checked in it turned out that a hair dryer is on request, there is no kitchen, but there is a dining room where you can eat food that has nowhere to cook, and then why the dining room? Every guest house has a kitchen. There is a barbecue on the roof, but it is dangerous there if you are with children, a fence made of mesh for the view, the room itself turned out to be dirty, we found it after we checked in, the floors are dirty, you can't stand up with your feet, instead of a blanket, an ordinary plaid made of synthetic, in the bathroom there is someone else's hair everywhere, toilet paper from a glove, the bed is held on 2 stumps that are in the age-old web. The star is only for the view from the balcony. That's all, after walking I didn't want to go back there, oh yes, if you decide to wash your clothes for 150 rubles, keep in mind that nothing dried up in the 3 days that we lived here, and now we are carrying completely wet things in a bag for 2000 km.

I would like to note that his Wine is very tasty and unusual. The hotel itself is spacious and cozy. There is a kitchen and access to a balcony with a magnificent view of the sea! The guest house "Flight of the Seagull" was noticed by me on arrival on the map of the city of Gagra. The contrast, of course, is strong between the grand hotels of the Soviet era and guest houses, which, most often, are converted cottages or small buildings of former institutions. Of all the things that we came across on the way in the first line, we chose the "Flight of the Seagull". Its main and main advantage is its location. It is located right on the shore by the colonnade and the Ferris wheel, as well as the cost of accommodation. From 1300 rubles per room (we were in Gagra at the end of November). I don't know how it would be in the season, but at this time we really liked everything. Although without the special chic and gloss inherent in comfortable hotels, but with a soul and sincerity.
The owner of the house, Vladimir, is a very attentive and polite person in his business. He will help and answer any questions. He also helped us with the return trip by ordering a transfer to Adler airport. There are different rooms in the "Flight of the Seagull". From very tiny to 60 m2. With panoramic windows overlooking the sea, etc. Amenities are usually in the room, but you need to go out to the shared kitchen on the second floor to eat. There is everything for cooking. The view from the windows in this space is also gorgeous. We will definitely come back again!

We were from January 9th to 11th in a room with a sea view on the 3rd floor. The view from the panoramic window is very beautiful, the children did not leave the window. The service is excellent, there is an indoor heated pool and a sauna. The center of Gagra and the sea under the window. There is a terrace with a barbecue on the roof.
The only disadvantage is if you have a light sleep, you can hear the sounds of a nearby cafe.
