Basic five stars hotel, everything is generally fare, but faced an unpleasant situation. During our swimming at the sea one of own towels was taken/stolen by somebody from the lounge chair. We report this case at the nearby towel centre immediately and got the info to explain the situation at the reception. At reception we have a conversation with a stuff who didn't know english. It was sad that its our fault that we "lost" the towel and we were finally changed for it. We have a transfer to the airport in a 20 minutes and not enough time to have a long conversation with a whole chain of manager system. So we pay for the taken/stolen by somebody towel. Funny but really sad situation which reveals a significant problem in interaction with guests and management at the Regency Plaza.

We had a rest in October. The hotel has 3 floors, with a huge territory. There is a private beach with sun loungers, umbrellas, a pier, a bar and a restaurant (on the beach). The beach is clean and sandy. The entrance to the sea is flat (suitable for children). There are a lot of small fish near the shore, from the pier you can see larger fish and swim with them. The food is good, buffet style. The room cleaning is good. There are swimming pools, a water park. There are many bars and restaurants. The staff is very polite and helpful. We took excursions around the city, to the Tutankhamun Museum, on a yacht, scuba diving. There is a lot of greenery on the territory. The bay is protected by coral reefs that protect from waves and sharks. Special thanks to the bartender at Emaj Beach. A very interesting man. The best bartender.

We stayed at the hotel on 18-26.01.2025. The hotel is a little "tired", but the territory is large and pleasant, there is a place to walk + there is a promenade that passes by neighboring hotels and is beautifully illuminated, it's the best thing to walk in the evening. We haven't been able to get around the entire territory during our vacation. There is a shopping street near the hotel, many shops, restaurants, pharmacies, etc. - It is convenient that you do not need to go shopping anywhere, a 5-minute walk and you will buy everything. The bay itself is very windy, I do not recommend going in winter, you will not get into the sea, it is better to choose a separate bay in the winter. A beach of coarse sand/small stone is not exactly a paradise shore) There is a stone or dead coral along almost the entire length of the water line, it is uncomfortable to enter, you can injure your feet. There are two approaches along the edges without stones and pantone. There are very few fish for Egypt, you can say there are none at all, perhaps because of the cold. We were in the Bay on an excursion, there are plenty of fish there. There are many pools on the territory of the hotel-the water is icy, you can not swim. There is one heated pool in the water park, the water in it is not perfect, of course, but still. The children were swimming. Adults don't get high. Slides with warm water in this warm pool. Normally, in general, you can have fun. During the season, I think it's a lot more fun at this hotel because the infrastructure is still good. There are playgrounds, three of them, tired, but still there. There is animation, the local animator works at 200%, not intrusive. The alcohol was high-quality, everyone drank, and I never had a headache. The food is monotonous, no frills. On 3. We weren't hungry, but we didn't get any pleasure either. But we didn't go to Alaska. The service is great, everything is lightning fast in restaurants and bars, thanks for that, the guys are trying their best! Our room was 5107 at the main building opposite the playground on the ground floor. The location, in my opinion, is very convenient with children. Everything is nearby: a restaurant- the children went to breakfast by themselves, a water park in two minutes, a playground under the window, a bar and a minidiscoe around the corner, while the silence is beautiful! The room is large and spacious, super. A bunk bed for children is super! A king size bed for adults and a large sofa in front of the TV are gorgeous, to be honest. BUT the pillows are very uncomfortable, it's terrible, my husband and I broke our necks, the children slept without pillows at all, they are very very high and hard. If you are picky about pillows, take them with you. Because of this, we couldn't get enough sleep even once! The beds are hard, but this is normal for us. Mosquitoes! Our fumigators are not helping. I don't know how to escape, just keep in mind that we were devoured. By the end of the rest, we got used to not opening the room during the day and killing all mosquitoes manually before going to bed :) but they also ate on the street. The room has a bathtub and a completely terrible shower head: it is located high, it cannot be removed, the pressure is barely there. I couldn't wash properly. We found out that the water pressure in the rooms at the water park is much better. There are nuances in the organization of leisure activities, such as a break in activities between the show and the disco for an hour, people are kicked out of the club for some reason and a crowd of hot drunk citizens are wandering around the hotel in confusion, not knowing what to do with themselves, some revel in the trash, some go to sleep and as a result the disco is empty or with a completely inadequate audience. In my opinion, after the show, which ends at 22-30, you should immediately turn on the music and continue the disco, I don't understand why this hour of silence is until 23-30. There's no music, it's quiet, and it's very strange. We were on vacation with Biblio Globus (Sun International) - I've never seen a more unpleasant hotel guide. complete indifference to the leisure of tourists, only sells excursions, after which he completely loses interest and does not hesitate to show his disdain. The transfer was delayed for all excursions, we had to wait. I don't want to go with this Tour Operator anymore. This is the 13th time I have been to Egypt, and I have something to compare it with. Overall, I rate the hotel at 3-4 out of 5. There are nuances, but there are also advantages. In the season when the sea and all the pools are available, the hotel will be much more interesting! In general, I recommend it, especially with children and people without high expectations. The bunk bed is top! The children are happy. Of course, it doesn't pull at 5 stars, but it's quite suitable for 4. Price and quality are normal.
