The perfect place
["the undoubted pearl of the square is the singing fountains - some of the most beautiful that I have seen (and I have seen both in Dubai and in Winperl - there is something to compare it with) - a variety of music - classical, popular, and folk - and performances go on in a row (and not once an hour as in Dubai) - you can enjoy the performance for exactly half an hour"] to remember the difference between the Republic and the Federation!

I visited Republic Square in Yerevan - it's a really impressive place!
The first thing that catches your eye is the grandiose size of the area (about 30,000 sq. m. meters). To understand the scale, 50,000 people were quietly accommodated here during the papal prayer in 2016.
The main “highlight” of the square is, of course, the singing fountains. They are open from 21:00 to 23:00 (from April to the end of October). The performance is simply amazing - jets of water soar 50 meters to the music. By the way, these fountains became pioneers in the USSR - they began to “sing” back in 1971!
During the day, the square also deserves attention, although it looks more modest. There are several important administrative buildings built of light tuff. The building of the former Council of National Economy (now the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia) is particularly impressive - its facade looks very solemn.

There are five streets leading to the square.
Nearby there is a beautiful pool called “Seven Springs” with drinking water.
The 2800th Anniversary of Yerevan Park with original fountain lighting is a 5-7-minute walk away.

A very beautiful square with a fountain that "sings" from 20:00 every day in the "summer season" except Mondays 🙌🏻
There is an art gallery and a historical and archaeological museum, as well as the Armenian Government and the Marriott Hotel.
It's beautiful here both when you walk and when you drive a car through it. 🙌🏻
Walking routes around the city begin from here . The most popular is through Abovyan Street along Severny Avenue and to the Cascade .

Republic Square in Yerevan is one of the most impressive and symbolic places in Armenia. It combines a rich history, national identity and a modern urban spirit. Yerevan is a gorgeous city, the square is the heart of Yerevan. Nice place, spacious, beautiful and well maintained. Beautiful trees, buildings and fountains.
It is especially chic to visit there in the evening with the "singing" fountains working.

A very beautiful place in Yerevan. For me, the most beautiful place in this city. A huge area. The fundamental buildings are made of beautiful tuff. Mount Ararat is visible through the arch of one building. Next to the park there are shopping malls with handicrafts of the local people: Turks, chess, knives, gold and silver. By the way, the local Belmondo guide said that the clock on the tower was installed during the war in 1941

This is not the first time we have been vacationing in Armenia and we would like to be impressed by the central square of Yerevan. Walking along Republic Square, you are amazed by the beauty and monumentality of the buildings, the fragrant air of flowers in flower beds and mown grass, as well as the purity and sound of rustling water from fountains and during watering of lawns.
