I like the Siab bazaar. You can find anything you want. But the prices are little bit high and you have to negotiate for 10 to 15 minutes then you can buy anything in a suitable price.
Touristy, you can most food products in a Supermarkt. Cloths section is ok but you need to haggle hard. I wish I new a better bazar just like the one in bukhara
Siab market is a real center of oriental flavor in Samarkand! You can find everything here: aromatic spices, fresh fruits and vegetables, dried nuts and sweets, traditional Uzbek tortillas, souvenirs and even products of local artisans. The atmosphere is incredible — the merchants are friendly, you can and should bargain, and the smells of spices and fresh bread create a special mood.
If you want to experience the real spirit of Samarkand, be sure to visit the Siab market! This is not just a place to shop, but a part of the local culture and traditions.
An oriental fairy tale, also very tasty)) one of the oldest bazaars in the city, you can find the best dried fruits, nuts, local sweets, national clothes, souvenirs, knives, spices, fresh fruits and vegetables, in general, a choice for every taste and color. It is located literally across the fence from one of the iconic medieval mosques Bibi Khonim. The merchants are polite, responsive and as in any bazaar they are traded))
The bazaar is large, almost all the stalls are under canopies or in pavilions, trying to escape from the summer heat)) The assortment is diverse, they sell fresh vegetables and fruits, dried, dried, and cooked. There are cafes, different dishes, some delicious, and some for an amateur, they took one of the dishes - Uighur lagman, some spice was added there, in the form of a black pod, very specific, only spoils the whole taste. We bought samsa, with meat - beef (with lamb, there is tension in samsa here, too, as in Tashkent))), with potatoes, with pumpkin, with pumpkin, it has a very good and harmonious taste, we did not even expect that it turns out so well, and the salinity is in moderation!)) There are also many different national clothes, household goods, dishes, souvenirs, many things that you can see and choose, you can also bargain, but with some it is a normal process, and with individuals it is straight with a creak and great displeasure, you can not say that this is a Central Asian bazaar)) Surprisingly, in Samarkand there are postcards with views of historical monuments, but in Tashkent there are no such postcards, from the word at all, it is absent as a class))) Of course, there are only merchants in the bazaar again, there are significantly fewer buyers. Prices on average are about the same as in Tashkent. You can't find a toilet just like that, without navigation or requests, and not all cafes have it, and like in the whole of Uzbekistan they are with Gulkin's nose, and then they are mostly paid!
The most central bazaar. Here you can buy local products, souvenirs and spices.
You can also exchange money at a favorable rate. There are two guys offering an exchange here, better than in a bank. I was watching a program about this market on the Internet, and they were showing these guys. I exchanged it with them.
When buying, you can definitely bargain. Be sure to check whether they give you something or not. When you try something, be sure to check that the seller does not slip something else when selling. It is better to buy white sour-milk balls not from local gypsies sitting on the ground, but rather in an ordinary supermarket! Souvenir grandfathers are cool, but they're too expensive everywhere.
It's a colorful place, you can find a lot of things and bargain to reasonable limits. There is a disadvantage- there was no place to wash the fruits bought here. There was not a single faucet or faucet with running water.... Well, as usual, unsanitary conditions are common in this region, they touch everything with their hands and drag it into your mouth and let you taste it. But they've grown up with it, they're immune, but we're not. Be careful, because pharmacies are a bit tight there, everything is with you. And the bazaar itself is what you need!
A small bazaar. Everything is very well organized, there is no chaos. Excellent selection of products. Prices are the same as in Tashkent. A rich selection of sweets, nuts, dried fruits, halva, dishes. You definitely need to bargain, they will give you a discount if you buy a lot.
A beautiful bazaar. The Ancient Samarkand Bazaar Siab. Various national sweets, national bread cakes, dry foods and others. You can bargain and buy yourself anything you like. People are polite. The atmosphere and color are wonderful. Nearby is the ancient Bibikhanum memorial complex. You will not regret visiting this wonderful place.
It's a picturesque place. In the upper part of the bazaar, designed for tourists, everything is clean and tidy. There are no price tags. Prices are named according to the appearance and language of the buyer.
The lower part of the bazaar is dirty, and in some places it is just dirty. but they serve great pilaf and you can shop relatively inexpensively.
Oh yes, don't forget to try the freshly squeezed pomegranate juice. It is five times cheaper than in Istanbul.
Siab Bazaar is not just a market, it is a real symbol of Samarkand, where ancient traditions are intertwined with modernity. Here you will be greeted by an abundance of colors, scents and smiles of local merchants. You can find everything at the bazaar: from fresh fruits and vegetables to the famous Samarkand bread and fragrant spices. Each shop is a little story, and the sellers themselves are always ready to tell you about their product and treat you to a tasting. 🍎
A walk along the rows with oriental sweets brings special pleasure. Lokum, halva, apricots, dried berries and nuts are a real paradise for sweet tooths! And the famous Samarkand flatbreads baked in a tandoor will not leave anyone indifferent. Their aroma and taste are what you will want to take with you in memory of the city. 🥨
Siab Bazaar is also a cultural heritage. Located near the Bibi Khanum Mosque, it has been an important part of city life for centuries. The atmosphere of the bazaar still retains the spirit of oriental trade and hospitality.

A very large selection of vegetables and fruits, everything is very fresh! You can lick your fingers with tomatoes, nuts of various kinds, halva, spices, tea,. The sellers are friendly and moderately intrusive. You can try everything, they don't take money.
A place to buy souvenirs and all kinds of goodies. A lot of fruits, nuts and vegetables are sold during the season. There are a lot of different spices, clothes and dishes on a regular basis. When buying a product, do not forget to bargain (it is customary there). Currency can be exchanged at the main entrance.
Siab Bazaar in Samarkand is just a magical place where you can plunge into the atmosphere of a real oriental market. Located in the center of the city, the bazaar pleases with its diversity and authenticity.
Here you will find everything you could wish for: from exquisite souvenirs and national clothes to fresh fruits and spices. Many merchants offer their goods, creating a unique atmosphere of trade and exchange of cultural values.
I was especially pleased that there are street money changers at the entrance to the bazaar, where you can easily exchange money at a favorable rate of $ 100 - 1250000 soums. It is convenient and saves time, allowing you to fully enjoy shopping.
Siab Bazaar is a place where every visitor can find something to their liking and take with them a piece of the oriental atmosphere. I highly recommend this bazaar to anyone who wants to immerse themselves in the world of real oriental trade and see a wonderful combination of tradition and modernity.
There are many attractions worth visiting near the Siab Bazaar in Samarkand. Here are some of them:
1. Bibi Khanum: The famous Bibi Khanum Mosque, built in the XV century, is a short walk from the bazaar. This amazing architectural structure is considered one of the symbols of Samarkand.
2. Ulugbek stele: In honor of the famous scientist and ruler Ulugbek, a stele was erected, which is one of the oldest astronomical instruments in the world. It is also located next to the bazaar.
3. The historical center of Samarkand: Around the Siab bazaar there are many ancient streets, buildings and architectural monuments that are part of the historical center of the city of Samarkand.
4. Guri-Amir Mausoleum: The beautiful mausoleum where Timurid ruler Timur is buried is located a few kilometers from the bazaar.
5. Registan: One of the main attractions of Samarkand, the Registan architectural complex
After visiting the bazaar, you can easily combine it with a tour of other interesting places in the center of Samarkand.
The ancient bazaar is amazing in size. There is everything. The kind attitude of the sellers. A lot of products and fruits are sold from their farmsteads and gardens. There are decent cafes at the bazaar. Pleasant memories remain from visiting the bazaar for a long time. Many sights of the ancient city are within walking distance from the auction.
Tourists are very interested. It is necessary to visit and understand the oriental flavor. The choice is huge. Fruits, vegetables, sweets. Sellers are very tactful. There are also shops for things, souvenirs and other things.
If you want to leave all your money somewhere, then go here.
Both the tourist section and the main part of the bazaar are very colorful. If you want to buy ceramics with traditional paintings, it is better to take them here, because it is cheaper than at tourist sites and souvenir shops.
All spices will be given to smell or taste. You will also try all the sweets and leave with a couple of kilograms of halva and nuts in your suitcase.
Well, since this is a bazaar, then bargaining is appropriate.
There is a large market, there are both indoor and outdoor rows and free-standing rooms. Everything is clean and tidy, the assortment is large. Here we took the cheapest souvenirs. It turns out that we need to bargain, which we didn't do. I recommend you to visit
A wonderful place with an oriental flavor. A place where you can buy any product from vegetables and sweets to textiles. The desire to sell your product at a higher price does not override the natural goodwill of local sellers. Even just walking along the rows enjoying the palette of goods is a pleasure. But, it is impossible not to buy anything, hearing the kind address of a Beauty. 🙂
A real oriental bazaar, very colorful and beautiful. They sell almost everything here: souvenirs, fruits, vegetables, clothes, meat, fish...
You definitely need to bargain, otherwise buy at exorbitant prices, as we do.
It is located next to Bibi Khanum, you will not pass by
A large selection of Asian riches, a variety of dishes, dried fruits, nuts, clothes, all kinds of different spices and seasonings, fruits, vegetables, pastries, oils. On the downside, I didn't like the fact that there is no place where you can eat REAL SAMARKAND PILAF. I had to leave and look for an institution outside the market
The location of the bazaar is very convenient. You leave the Registan ensemble to walk a little along a cozy alley. The market is large and diverse. Sellers bargain easily. I really liked it. We didn't leave without shopping.
Very nice and cozy! Before you buy something there, be sure to find it in the other five places and find out the price!!! We took the item for 20 thousand sums, and a little further it was for 3 thousand!!! And so it is with all products!!! Pomegranate juice is crushed, a glass costs 15 thousand, and one of them has 5 thousand! And orange, too!
A stunningly atmospheric market where you can find everything your heart desires. For tourists from Russia, merchants provide the opportunity to pay by transfer to a card, which is very convenient. Prices, of course, are formed on the move, but you can and should bargain.
A large market where they sell products, things and much more. There are also various cafes and tea houses. The prices for non-local sellers behind the counter are announced somewhere 2 times more expensive than for local ones. When bidding, they can partially throw it off. As for cafes, I recommend going to those where there is a menu with prices, and if there is no menu, then ask prices in advance, otherwise lunch will become more expensive than in a restaurant.
I didn't like the bazaar very much. I've been waiting for him so much. Things are all very low quality and the same thing. In Bukhara, the assortment and quality were better in the Old City. Lots of dried fruits, but all the same. Here you can find very decent ceramics, even personalized ones. You can buy it for soums, rubles and dollars. The exchange rate is higher than in the bank. There is a pedestrian street leading from the bazaar to the Registan. There's better quality stuff in there. There are interesting T-shirts, scarves and national clothes.
A very diverse assortment of the market. Here you can find food products, in particular fruits, vegetables, oriental sweets, traditional bread, gifts, souvenirs, clothes, dishes, and everything in the national style, just a market for tourists so that they can buy gifts for relatives and friends. And the prices here are more reasonable compared to other places.
It's a pretty authentic place where you can buy souvenirs from Samarkand for a good price. The sellers are friendly, they do it (if you ask for a discount). You can buy an item with an initial price of 120,000 soms, eventually for 80,000 soms.
Strawberries are delicious and fragrant.
Very lively. There is everything. Polite sellers will find any product to suit your taste. My eyes are wide open. Be sure to visit any cafe on the market. Delicious pilaf and samsa from tandoor will delight you.
Prices vary greatly. My friend and I bought dishes. Grandpa Kamil is standing next to the entrance on the left side. A very good man. Good-natured. He advised us what to buy and chose the best quality for us. His price is the lowest in the market, but he also made a discount.
I packed everything for the trip. Thanks a lot to him. As for clothes, the choice is huge. Measure and choose. And bargain, they discount well. Have a nice trip
It's a very atmospheric place! Friendly sellers, prices need to be negotiated, but they won't take off much. The prices are very affordable. Have a nice walk, chat with people. Strong energy of the place.
Food stalls must be visited in order to better understand the history and nature of the country. Sellers will be happy to tell you about the product, they will definitely offer to try (I do not advise, although it is tasty but unwashed), tea, fruits, nuts, pomegranate juice - the eyes run away from abundance. Be sure to bargain!
A real oriental market. As they say, come and fly! Fruits, rice, vegetables, nuts, national clothes, dishes, souvenirs, there is everything. Bargain)
She left with huge packages))
There are no disadvantages. The products in Samarkand are delicious and real.
The largest selection of souvenirs, some cheaper, some more expensive. It is necessary to bargain for each position, the closing mirror with the inscription Samarkand has been lowered from 45,000 to 30,000. But in general, everything is expensive if you convert it into rubles, but there are very interesting things as souvenirs. There are a lot of imported fruits, they don't sell much of their own, but you can find them. Imported grapes 15,000 - 20,000 sums, local 7000 - 8000. A lot of changes, the course is starting to be offered at the rate of 1:120, the best is 1:128.
What is the worst is a lot of gypsy beggars. It's just a horror and they shake hands until you pay attention and leave.
In general, it is more of a grocery market with a lot of spices and sweets. The locals are very unhappy if they give you a try, but you refuse. So you can eat so much in an hour that you don't need lunch.
In general, you definitely need to go if you are going to Samarkand
