I definitely recommend you to visit. Many objects are under restoration, but you won't waste your time. Very cozy promenade, colorful streets. There are many places for insta-photos. I did not take excursions, as there is a detailed description of each attraction on the Internet. It is easy to get there by taxi and public transport. A taxi from the hotel costs both ways with an expectation of $ 50. And when you get to the bus stop, the taxi drivers stop themselves and offer to take you both ways for $ 20. So if you have 3-4 people, then it's easier to take a taxi, of course. Buses run frequently. I was driving from the village of Kyzyl-gach to Manavgat and there at the bus station I transferred to the bus to Side, which goes exactly to the Ancient city. The fare is 1 dollar or 1 euro or 35 lira. As a result, I spent $4 with transfers.
It is an exclusively tourist place, it was made beautifully, it is pleasant to walk, there is something to look at and where to take a photo. Catering, of course, is much more expensive than a couple of blocks from this place. As for "antiquity" and "antiquity". It's basically a new model. the free "old thing" is extremely poorly maintained and dirty. And the fact that it has been renovated and you really want to see, for example, the amphitheater, is too big a difference in the cost of visiting for Tourists. I think it is unreasonably expensive.
It's a masterpiece.
A must-visit.
The self-guided tour will take about 2 hours.
Everything is free.
Don't get lost.
All bus routes stop near the beginning of the tour, the price of the bus along the Side to the museum starts from 1-2 euros.
Travel by electric car along the entire museum of the ancient city is 15 liras (45 rubles).
It is better to go in the evening, capture the sunset, then turn on the illumination of all the objects of the museum - it is very beautiful.
I recommend 100%.

The ancient city of Side is a must-visit, colorful for lovers of antiquity and wonderful for those who like to walk. There is a large parking lot at the entrance. We recommend walking there (~ 15 min.) to the center of the old town, and back to buy a ticket for cars (small cars with 5-6 seats). The ruins are impressive, especially the huge amphitheater (they did not go inside, since 17 euros per person) and the temple of Apollo. Walking through the streets of ancient Side is a pleasure, small stone houses, cafes, shops.
A very beautiful place, built by the Roman Empire back in the 7th century BC.
We came with an excursion from Coral. The only thing I didn't like was that everyone jumped in and had already left. We did not reach the temple of Apollo, as we saw many shops with bracelets, Turkish sweets and souvenirs, everything is very cheap compared to the shops in the hotel. We bought gifts for our relatives.
And we also advise you to try pomegranate beer, very tasty, sweet and sour, but in principle, almost everyone managed to see even the Turkish wedding.
We will definitely come back here ourselves without an excursion, we were impressed😍
The ancient city is fascinating. It is very easy to get there by bus, there are several routes that stop, even without a tour there is something to see. The streets are beautiful, souvenir shops, restaurants, the sunset there is simply unreal.
A great place for walking. I really enjoyed walking around the ancient city, but be sure to wear comfortable shoes, because ancient stones will dig into your feet. I advise you to visit this place at sunset and get high from the seascapes with antique architecture!
An atmospheric place! As a lover of the history of the ancient world, I really liked it here. A good place for walking, you can go shopping and just sit on the beach.
It can be seen that the ancient ruins are in good condition, restoration work does not stop, there were many workers in February 2023. Definitely, even if you are passing through Manavgat, it is worth stopping here and touching the history!
Everything is conveniently done. Nicely. There are many places to take pictures. There aren't that many people. The bus stop is conveniently located, if anything. Go a little further and you will get to the shopping malls. There are many cafes and shops for tourists. Yes, it's expensive. But when we've already taken a walk, what else can we do?
An interesting place to visit on your own, clean around, beautiful, cozy, lots of souvenir shops, prices are not too high. Take lyres with you to visit museums
A beautiful historical place, you can walk along the embankment and the port nearby, sit in a cafe and buy everything your heart desires, spend the sunset with a delicious drink in your hand
I recommend it to everyone. It's a great place. There are ruins and new buildings, but everything looks great together. There are shops and restaurants. There are no explanatory inscriptions on the sights in Russian, if it's important to anyone.
We were in the Ancient city on an excursion. I really liked it. Of course, you can visit this place yourself, but there was more information with the guide. It was our first time. And I think this is the right way to visit for the first time. And next time, already knowing what to visit, where to stay longer, take a walk, you can do it yourself
The beautiful old part of the city, beautiful streets, stunning views of the sea and streets. Any place is a background for a photo shoot. There are many cafes, restaurants, shops. We were in July, it's very hot, so it's better to go early in the morning or evening. There is a bus station nearby, the drivers will tell you how to get there, where to go back. Minibuses (dolmushi) run frequently.
We had a rest in Kemer, rented a car and drove around the area on our own. I recommend visiting the ancient city, there is a nice authentic street with shops nearby, I also liked it)
A good place to walk, quiet streets, you can look at the details, the interior is very beautiful, just turning off the main street, walking not in a crowd, I really liked it. There are many cafes, you can choose and take a break. Almost everywhere they speak Russian, you can ask and clarify.
I recommend you to take a walk - you will like it.
There is something to see. The Temple of Apollo, the ancient theater (for a fee), a small pretty promenade, a port, a clean Mediterranean Sea. But mostly souvenir stalls, it's a little annoying.
The ancient city of Side is a place that is definitely worth a visit for anyone interested in history and culture. Here you can feel the spirit of ancient times and enjoy the stunning views.
There is a place to wander in the evening. An amphitheater, Roman ruins, a newly built old town. And the sea, of course. There are a lot of our People, as everywhere in Turkey. But if Antalya is more of a Russian resort, then Side is a German one. This is neither good nor bad.
The old town of Side is very authentic, with its own history and ruins from an ancient civilization. It is a pleasure to wander through the streets and shops, cafes and the embankment. It is only advisable to do this in the evening, it is very hot in the afternoon.
The ancient city of Side is what you need to visit when traveling to the Antalya coast, it is very beautiful, a lot of interesting things have been preserved since ancient times! I recommend an excursion to this place! :)
A beautiful place by the sea, you can take beautiful photos, feel the spirit of history. You can go on a guided tour if you are a fan of new knowledge)
It was enough for us to read the information about this place on the web and walk at our own pace without a guide and a group!
The ancient city of Side on the seashore. It is very interesting to look at the ancient buildings. You can explore by yourself, or with a guide. The ruins of the city are located on a large territory.
a gorgeous place to walk, I want to peer into every pebble, every window of authentic houses, into these beautiful horizons. A place with a great history!!
There are more traces of the history of Ancient Greece and Rome in Turkey than in Greece or Italy. Side is a very interesting monument, the achievements of modern archaeology help to literally touch the history. You can see everything in a day, or you can come back every day, you won't get bored. I can't recommend my own hotel, impolite reception at j'adore de lux and no suite.
The meeting from Pegas is also worthless, I do not recommend their tours. But while staying at a hotel near Side, you can use local transport-dolmush and explore the antiquities yourself. The traces of the ancient city, the history in stone, the views of Side at sunset and dawn made the trip memorable and vivid.
It's stunningly beautiful. I would go a couple more times. You can do it without a tour. For 90 liras, you can drive around the city on a golf cart. There are many cafes, ruins under the glass floor. The Temple of Apollo. A beautiful port.
It's very beautiful, something is being restored, although the entrance to the museum is not cheap, but that is, a subscription is being sold that is valid for ninety percent of Turkish museums, and this is not at all beneficial to tourists who come there on a tour, and not traveling in Turkey
The old town is a delight)
Be sure to visit the monument to the temple of Apollo and the ancient theater! Excavations are still underway, and the atmosphere in the old town is incredible)
It is a very beautiful and majestic place, admission is free. It is located in a beautiful location on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea. Fans of "Knock on my door must visit."
It's a wonderful place. The prices in the cafe are frustrating... Breakfast at 35€ for two without overclocking (scrambled eggs, coffee) is expensive. You can find it cheaper, but you wanted a "sea view".
A very cool place, the ancient city turns into the port of
Side. There are a lot of shops, cafes, a lot of tourists. Immerse yourself in history and feel like in the past centuries.
It's a very interesting place. The ancient buildings have been preserved quite well. It is located on the seashore. It is a very beautiful and picturesque place.
an interesting place with a great history. beautiful locations and time flies by quickly while you look at everything. I really liked the pomegranate juice in one of the cafes
Interesting. There are a lot of people.
Most of the territory is fenced and inaccessible.
The nympheum is luxurious.
The amphitheater is interesting. Especially look at the collapsed retaining walls behind him. The arched structure of the stands is visible there, and different materials for the main walls and retaining walls. Apparently, the retaining walls were added later.
Oh, this is a masterpiece place. There is no limit to the delight. It was the first time, but I will definitely come again. A huge well-preserved city with an amphitheater and many other buildings, where you can wander for hours absolutely for free. It was a very cool walk.
It's a great place! The beauty is off the scale. The vast territory of the ancient city is "breathtaking"! But there is too much garbage, in the form of plastic and cigarette butts. You just have to ignore it)
A historical place, very beautiful. Some antiquities have been restored, it is wonderful that the Turkish authorities do not abandon, but on the contrary restore the architecture of the ancient world.
The ruins are real, similar to many other ruins in Greece, etc. As a local landmark, quite. It's a long way to go to the rest, and who's next to Side is fashionable even in general. transport
I have long dreamed of visiting this place. And so in May 2024, the dream came true. There are a lot of impressions. I touched the Ancient history. We walked by ourselves, without a guide. We looked at the ancient streets, the market, the fountain, the temple of Apollo. Private houses on the territory of the city were built in such a way that the antiquity was visible. Russian Russian visitors There is one wish that the signs should have a description not only in Turkish and English, but also in Russian, because there are a lot of Russian visitors. And if you go with a group, then expect that you will need to run fast to see everything. I highly recommend visiting this place.
It is interesting to visit the atmosphere of antiquity, but the whole impression of what you saw is spoiled by modern technology, nets and much worse plastic chairs, instructions, apparently, by workers. Well, the price is 17 euros for the museum and the arena, but the museum is under reconstruction, so 17 euros, I think, is too expensive for one location
Of the advantages: from the point of view of the history of architecture, there is something to look at and reflect on the eternal..
They charge $ 17 to enter the history, but after the takers close their shops in the evening, tourists allow themselves to pass for free.
Among the disadvantages: there is no high-quality architectural illumination; a system of trails and paths with which you can estimate volumes from different viewpoints; architectural details lie / stand systemically. The territory also needs to be cleaned of garbage.
The biggest disadvantage is the citywide systems - lanterns and trash cans are in no way connected with these historical objects. In order to take a photo, you have to bend over and pick an angle so that you can't see the protruding street lights of a very prosaic appearance...
I really liked it, despite the intense heat. I would love to come back again in a cooler time to enjoy this nature, beautiful landscapes and historical sites, sit in cafes, walk along the embankment and swim in the sea. Super!
It is pleasant to walk in the evening, admiring the lively street with many shops, eateries with tourists and sea views. The scale of the ancient city with scattered historical elements of structures over a large area of the tourist route is impressive.
An amazing place with a magnificent view of the sea! It is better to come in the morning, then it is not too hot, and there are few people. There is a place to walk and eat here.
If you like walking, then it's worth a visit. We went first with a guide, the next day we took the bus ourselves, it's better to go on your own, there's more time to walk, look at souvenir shops, in my opinion they are not expensive, the same prices as in the city.
Of course, you need to visit - one of the best apparently preserved towns with a large number of buildings.
Everything is interesting - the colonnades, the agora, the city gates, etc.
It is worth visiting the existing shopping streets.
