The hotel is 3 stars. Booking questions are answered quickly, all staff are very polite and friendly.
Positive:
- lots of parking spaces
- acceptable location: 10-15 minutes walk from 2 metro stations in different directions. In principle, you can walk to the center in half an hour if desired
- there are many shops, cafes, pharmacies, bakeries nearby, opposite the Palace of culture with a swimming pool and gym
- the Palace of Culture has a small square with a place to relax, a fountain, and small attractions are brought on weekends
- in the room there are plates, spoons, forks, knives, mugs, glasses, a corkscrew in sufficient quantity, a kettle, a mini-refrigerator, two TVs, a huge bed, a sofa, a large bathroom, a hairdryer, individual hygiene kits, strong water pressure
- very spacious and clean room, the children could afford to run around
Minuses:
- the sofa turned out to be broken in disassembled condition, the price of an additional seat is almost the same as the price of the room itself
- there is no air conditioning, but we were lucky that it was not hot. There was a fan in the room. We slept with the windows open except for one (there was no mosquito net on one for some reason), the windows faced the courtyard
- old-fashioned design of the room and the hotel in general
I will also note separately the buffet breakfasts. The price is 20 bel.₽ (free for children under 8 years old!). There was a variety, but there were both half-cooked dishes, and burnt and sour ones. I was pleased with the presence of a coffee machine, delicious fruit drinks. It was also possible to have lunch in the business lunch format.
In general, a solid four, but for the good-natured attitude of the staff I throw another star.
We have been to Minsk twice from Moscow by car. I am delighted with Minsk, with the whole of Belarus!
We stayed at this hotel for the first time. A very pleasant hotel. The staff is polite and friendly. And breakfast is a special thank you! A large selection, everything is delicious, even the oatmeal porridge is so delicious that you want more! And the head chef is a wonderful woman, very sincere and kind, prepares wonderful breakfasts and lunches. We didn't have dinner at the hotel, but there were always a lot of visitors in the restaurant - it means delicious! Unfortunately, we did not remember the name of the beautiful fairy of the kitchen, she wrote us a recipe for a bomb salad dressing that can be used with meat and vegetables. Now we cook at home and always remember your hotel with a kind word.
Now about the location- it is very convenient to walk to the metro, to the center. There is a meat processing plant store nearby - you can take the tastiest products with you and as a gift, everyone in Moscow loves Belarusian sausages. On the way to the hotel there are several shops with groceries and household chemicals. Beer, kvass, liqueurs, tinctures - in every store, but nowhere did we meet drunks or homeless people. All employees are local residents, which is good. Everyone around is good-natured and friendly. Everything is clean and well maintained.
We are also planning to come with the whole family and friends to this hotel - the price and quality are excellent! Thanks!!!
I would like to note the convenient location of the hotel (you can go to any part of the city by public transport), private parking, proximity to grocery stores, a bank. The hotel is in demand, constant arrivals of tour groups and not only. There is a luggage storage room near the reception. The staff is polite, able to find solutions in non-standard situations and simple requests, the breakfast is a standard buffet (no one will leave hungry for sure). Cleaning is daily (the stay was 10 days). The photo of the rooms on the website corresponds. On each floor there is a cooler plus a relaxation area. Additionally, I want to say a special thank you to the restaurant staff for the collected breakfast (there was an evening check-out, so I asked them to pack it with me) - they cooked heartily, varied, delicious and enough for two! Thanks to a competent manager, the professionalism of the hotel staff is on top.
Everyone is polite, the breakfasts are very tasty and varied. Wonderful coffee. The maid is a good girl. Everything is on time, without complaints. The room is good. Only the carpet is scary and the windows are on the trash cans. The room has everything you need (soap, shampoo, hair dryer, slippers, bags for used pads, shower caps, towels, TV, refrigerator, etc.) There is no air conditioner, but there was no special heat, so we would not need it. The location is good.
A great hotel. We stayed last year and this year too. Last year the room was small, but this time we were lucky - a spacious room, a large hallway, a spacious wardrobe. The bathroom-toilet is large, with a window! And it is the bathroom, not the shower stall. The opera has a TV, a phone with a list of rooms. WiFi is working fine. The staff is friendly and friendly. Cleaning is done daily, even if you didn't ask for it)). There is a cooler on the floor, hot and cold water, everything is working properly. There are enough sockets in the room to charge all the gadgets. There was no air conditioning, but the room was well located, it was hot outside, and the room was quite fresh.
Not far from the hotel there is a good city canteen where you can have a delicious and inexpensive lunch (5 Chkalova Street). There is practically nowhere to have dinner nearby. Only in the hotel restaurant. We got there so that there was an event, no outsiders were served. I had to look for something else. There are only coffee shops or something like that nearby. We found a cafe about 20 minutes on foot - from the Garage network, we managed to have dinner there.
And in general, there are only pleasant impressions from staying at the Sputnik hotel. If we are still in Minsk, we will definitely try to stay here. I recommend.
Everything is just fine. The staff is polite and friendly, the rooms are clean, there are dishes, a TV and a refrigerator. There is a cooler with cold and hot water on each floor. The restaurant has a buffet, everything is delicious and varied. For people who come to the hotel just to spend the night, this is more than enough. The hotel is very conveniently located, a bus stop is five minutes away, and the metro is ten minutes away. I recommend.
A wonderful hotel!
We are staying here for the second time (the first in 2016). Convenient location, parking is available. The staff is friendly, the rooms are clean and cozy. I recommend visiting the restaurant, there is a very tasty Caesar salad and draniki prepared!
I definitely recommend it!
The hotel is not very far from the railway station. The rooms are spacious, there is even a corridor with a large wardrobe. The bathroom is spacious enough, even with a window - it is ventilated perfectly. There is a refrigerator in the room. A minus, especially in hot summer, is the lack of air conditioning, plus that there is a fan - salvation from the stuffiness! There are slippers, shower gel, soap, shampoo too. The breakfast is a buffet, the choice is quite large. The staff is friendly and courteous. There is a storage room where you can leave your belongings. There is a grocery store, a cafe nearby, and a supermarket nearby.
Not bad for a housekeeper. You won't see anything special. The location is convenient, you can get anywhere on foot, there is a lot of transport. A bunch of joints were found in the economy single room: the walls in the bathroom are dead, there is not a single outlet, the toilet flushes badly, there is also no hair dryer, I took my own well on the trip. The towels are shabby with a collapsed stitch around the edges, some towels have holes. The refrigerator in the room did not work in principle, as explained at the reception desk, "it works like a cooler." I work at the hotel myself, we also have mini-refrigerators, but it really cools us, this one is very warm, the products deteriorated quickly - we had to take something not quite perishable. There are only 3 sockets in the room, two by the window below, one by the bed behind the bedside table. I took it without breakfast - after reading the reviews, I decided that it was better not to. There are cafes near the hotel, but I liked one a little further away the most, called the cafe "at the sabres". In general, the overall impression of the 5-point hotel is: cleanliness for 4 people, room equipment for 2, staff for 5, location for 5
A good hotel in a convenient location. Nearby there are transport stops, shops, two stops to the shopping center. The rooms are simple but clean. Minus- there is no air conditioner, there is a fan. The staff is friendly and always ready to answer all questions. Breakfast is a buffet. There is a large selection, everything is delicious.
A hotel for those nostalgic for the Soviet era. Yes, the rooms are relatively newly renovated, clean bed linen, soft snow-white towels from the calculation of 3 per guest. Daily room cleaning No...
1. The room is sooo stuffy, the windows are wide open, there is no air conditioning
2. There are no individual bags of shampoo and shower gel in the bathroom, instead the 2 in 1 product in the dispenser is liquid to such an extent that it does not even soap. It is impossible to use it.
3. There is no kettle in the room, there is a cooler on the floor, which is not very convenient, but tolerable.
4. There is no iron either, there is an ironing room. One for the entire rather large hotel. There is also one iron in it. Therefore, if you are unlucky, in the morning you can stand in line waiting for access to the iron.)))
The room has everything you need, clean and tidy. A TV with cable TV, the quality is poor, with interference. There is a small refrigerator, fan, wi-fi. Not all rooms have a hairdryer, they are given at the reception. The floor smells of antiquity, it has not been renovated for a long time. There is a water cooler.
You can have breakfast in a buffet style. Nearby there is a bakery with delicious croissants and coffee, a small penny. There is a public transport stop within walking distance. Near the metro station "Institute of Culture".
They moved us in quickly, the service was polite.
For your money, a good option for living.
Overall, I liked the hotel. There are of course disadvantages in the form of a battered species))) carpet and a leaky faucet .But not critically. The room is clean. Heat. There is a refrigerator. But there is no microwave. And a kettle. It is very inconvenient to go across the entire floor to the cooler for a cup of hot water.
There are two stops to the center. 20-25 minutes on foot.
There are many shops and cafes nearby. Well, in general, there are a lot more pros than cons.
A good hotel at budget prices. The reception area, the entrance group are comfortable, and the waiting area is pleasant. Lovely girls at the reception.
The rooms are small, a la USSR, but very clean. There is a refrigerator and a TV in the room. Cooler with hot/cold water on the floor
In general, it is good to stop for the night, there is breakfast, a normal selection of dishes, good rooms (there was a 2-bed suite), there is parking for cars, minus, rooms with bad noise, stomping in the corridor is audible in the room, distance from the center, and the area itself is not very good, there are no shops within walking distance, the infrastructure is outdated, but everything is good for it, the price is too high for 3 stars.
There are no complaints about the staff - everything is polite, cultured and with a smile.
The old Soviet foundation - well, okay, let's get nostalgic.
I visited the restaurant outside of breakfast - food for three, the entourage inside corresponds to the food (hello 00s). The restaurant is permanently closed.
Location and parking are a plus, so you can close your eyes to microscopic rooms, Soviet furniture and sound-permeable doors (hello neighbors in the morning, slamming doors).
And the main problem in summer is the lack of air conditioning in the rooms, when it's +35 outside and the room is on the sunny side - it's just the death of a guest.
By evening, it gets hotter in the room than outside.
An open window does not help because it is: a. also hot; b. very noisy.
An open window helps a short period of time from 00:00 hours literally to 04:00 and then traffic does not let you sleep.
It is very noisy even with the window closed, despite the double-glazed windows.
The fan just didn't let you die from heat stroke, but comfort is out of the question (it rattles noisily and convulses).
I would stop again - maybe in winter, but definitely not in summer.
PS Another point - if you haven't hung out the "Do not disturb" sign since the evening, then at 08:00-09:00 the maids are already coming and knocking on the room doors to find out if cleaning is required. This is also a controversial approach to customer service.
We stayed at this hotel while passing through Minsk. It was only supposed to spend the night and have breakfast. But the location is very good for getting to historical sites as well as shopping centers. There are ground and underground transport nearby. The staff is polite, attentive and friendly. The room stock is good. (large comfortable bed, TV, bedside tables, shower, drip white towels)))) There is a water cooler on each floor. Breakfast buffet. Bombastic oatmeal, cottage cheese, pancakes, scrambled eggs, pastries, tea, coffee and much more are all delicious and fresh. I recommend. If there is an opportunity to visit Minsk, I also know the address where I will stay.
I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel! Many thanks for the simple, but tasty and satisfying ones (especially for meat products). The breakfast menu is not particularly varied (if you expect that there will be a completely new menu every day, then no, but 2-4 new dishes appear every day) . We came just before the end of breakfast and there was a lot of food, as if no one had had breakfast before us. It would be great if it were possible to add kefir, honey, cottage cheese to breakfast and change the type of cereal.
There was always hot and cold water in the cooler on the floor. There was always very hot water in the bathroom (special thanks for it). I was very surprised by the cleaning: it was possible to change towels every day, which you will not find anywhere else. The staff is very attentive. The only thing I would like to add to the room is a cup in the bathroom, for example, for a toothbrush and a slightly newer refrigerator. The room was cool, which slightly spoiled the impression. The location is excellent, there is a grocery store and a Russian bank nearby, which is very convenient. Thanks!
An inexpensive hotel. Clean, tidy. A good breakfast buffet. It is more suitable for fans to return to the era of the Soviet past with its unobtrusive service and not too customer-oriented staff.
Budget hotel, very clean, friendly staff. Not far from the center of Minsk, the railway station and the bus station. Nearby there are public transport stops, coffee shops, and a restaurant.
We stayed for 2 nights on a trip to Minsk. Just what is really there, decide the rest yourself:
1. From Independence Square 2 ost.by bus (there is no metro nearby)
2. 1 elevator, small
3. The rooms are very small, the toilets are too, there are no kettles and slippers in the standard rooms
4. There is a cooler with hot/cold water in the hall, but there were no 1-time cups on the 4th floor, they were taken for 1m
5. Hair dryer on request, batteries for the TV remote are unusable, apparently also on request
6. Upon check-in (after 15.00), blankets are separate, duvet covers on the bed in the closet, under the bedspread (???)
7. Breakfast is included, Soviet-style, hearty and simple, there is clearly not enough coffee machine, the queue is mostly just for coffee
Overall impression: 2 nights will do
The room is tired. Repairs are required. There was no kettle in the room, there was no air conditioning, the weather was hot. The location of the hotel is very convenient. It is fashionable to walk to the center, there is public transport nearby. The breakfast is good, there are many different dishes for every taste. Everything is delicious. The staff is polite and attentive.
The hotel is clean, everything you need is there for rest, and I recommend good breakfasts to those who are not used to more comfortable conditions. Good staff, pleasant service, cleaning was done every day, the bed was made, the potency was changed, everything is fine
The rooms are standard, which is suitable for me personally, there is a writing table, a small refrigerator, there is a full bathroom and a powerful water pressure, this is excellent, many hotels sin with water pressure as in a summer shower. I took an air-conditioned room, everything worked properly, the room was cleaned, towels were changed. All this for reasonable money. 800 meters from the metro, the area is quiet, there is no traffic or loud music from any establishments.
A very clean and cozy place. The staff is extremely polite and helpful. Thank you so much for that! The rooms are clean and well maintained. There is no guarded parking on the street, but cameras are watching it.
A decent 3 star hotel. We stayed there for one night. The staff is friendly and the check-in was very quick. The room is small: a comfortable soft bed, wi-fi, a large TV and a clean bathroom with basic hygienic filling.
The hotel has a restaurant where you can order breakfast and lunch buffet for an additional fee. Grocery stores, a bank are nearby and the Institute of Culture and Kovalskaya Sloboda metro stations are a 15-minute walk away. There is a bus stop across the street, from which you can get to the center by bus in 10 minutes.
If we find ourselves in Minsk again, we will definitely stay at this hotel!
The rooms are clean, everything you need is there. Location in a quiet area, two stops from the center (bus stop nearby). The staff is friendly. The breakfasts are without frills, but everything is delicious.
I don't even know why the hotel has such a good rating, it's very mediocre, I'm not a demanding customer, but I can't agree with most in this case. The hotel of the "Soviet" time, very tired in everything, requiring renovation. There is nothing in the rooms except soap that does not wash well, it is stuffy, there are no conduits, the Internet can be caught in rare cases. Most employees are "neatly" rude and can't really answer anything/don't want to. I can praise the delicious breakfasts, everything is homemade and delicious, every morning there was something new. It seems to be located near the center, but there is nothing interesting around, every morning I had to stomp one way to the subway or go straight to the center. The hotel as a whole is not bad for its price, but I expected more.
A good hotel. I liked everything. Cleanliness, attitude of the staff. The location of the hotel is super. Next to the hotel there is a charging station for electric vehicles "Malanka", slow charging.
If the room is air-conditioned, then everything is fine, and if the windows face the road and there is no air conditioning, then it is very stuffy or noisy if you open the window. And so a small room, clean. The choice for breakfast is not very diverse, but you will not stay hungry. The hotel is located far from the center, there are no places nearby where you can eat, especially after 21h.
I was in Minsk for work, I stopped several times. The main advantage is silence at night, you can get enough sleep. The renovation is not bad, the breakfast is excellent- buffet, the choice is large, the location is good
Cleanliness in the room, kettle, dishes, refrigerator. The staff is polite, the location is convenient, there are a lot of parking places. Breakfast is a little meager, we went to the nearest cafe to eat.
The hotel is quite good, we stayed for 3 nights. The rooms are simple, but everything you need is there. Convenient booking via the website. The internet is working in the room. The room cleaning is excellent.
Breakfast is available. Not great, of course (store-bought pancakes are tasteless, and omelets and scrambled eggs are delicious), but the assortment is good, you can choose what to eat.
From what I can improve, the staff at the restaurant (at breakfast) is not very friendly.
Nice guest. Clean, cozy, cramped. The rooms have a TV. There is a cooler with clean drinking water on the floor. There are beverage coolers in the rooms (perishable food cannot be stored in them for a long time - in any case, the dumplings stick together in one lump). There is a parking lot. Within walking distance of public transport stops, metro, grocery stores, pizzeria, canteen. In the evenings, the guests roast and steam, cook food in their rooms. The staff is polite.
A pleasant hotel near the center of Minsk, the rooms are clean, the bathroom is decent, there are no towels, slippers, it's hot in the rooms, the fan can't cope, there is a refrigerator, TV, no hair dryer. The breakfast is varied and delicious. It corresponds to 3 stars.
A good hotel, Soviet-style. In downtown. There is also a public transport stop nearby, the metro is within walking distance. There is nothing superfluous in the rooms. But there is also a TV, a mini fridge. Unfortunately, the hair dryer is very, very weak. If necessary, take your own. Breakfast at the hotel is a buffet. It's not even bad. There is also porridge, vegetables, cheese, sausage, eggs, pastries, coffee, tea, drinks, yogurt. The staff is responsive. We were there for 4 days. I liked everything
The old Soviet hotel. The choice in favor of it is budget accommodation. The rooms are clean and cozy.
Breakfast buffet, paid separately, seemed expensive (20 rubles) at a cost of 80 rubles. Shower gel and washing in the bathroom. Parking along the hotel is free, you can charge an electric car. The room is warm. Boiler with water on the floor. There is an elevator. TV 32’ -a lot of programs. The hotel looks at one of the main streets of the city of Chkalov, Independence Avenue 4 bus stops, you can walk and walk! See the Government House (1.9 km), the Palace of the Republic (3 km), the Belarusian Circus (3.72km), Victory Square (4.35km) and many other attractions within 5 km…
I can only say for the restaurant, since I did not stay in the rooms: the kitchen is good, the staff is friendly, and there is a good assortment of dishes. Special thanks for the organized set meals, everything is served quickly and tasty enough!
I lived here in a double room for two nights with breakfast (breakfast is generally a fire) 8700 rubles cost. A good hotel is clean and cozy, a large bed, an excellent mattress.
A delightful hotel! The rooms are perfectly clean, cozy, daily cleaning, there is an elevator. The twin room has two single beds, a wardrobe room with hangers, a fan, two blankets (but we did not use them, they heat very well, in February we always lived with the window open), two glasses, a mini-refrigerator (not very powerful), a TV. In the bathroom: hair dryer, shower gel, aka shampoo (shampoo is better to take your own), 8 towels (small and large), shower caps. Breakfast in the restaurant in the buffet format, everything was always very tasty, I did not want to leave! The staff is responsive, there are guards at the reception, they will tell you everything, tell you, explain, help, advised the sights, where to go, how to get there. Free luggage storage is provided at any time if after check-out you have nowhere to leave your belongings before departure. There is a business center on the 1st floor where you can use a printer. There is a savings bank next to the hotel, where you can exchange money. The nearest metro station is the Institute of Culture, 10 minutes on foot. In general, the location of the hotel is quite good, almost the center.
The hotel is good. The rooms are comfortable. The beds are not bad. The mattresses are soft. One minus. There are no canteens or normal cafes nearby where you can eat normally. So that the first, second and compote- as they say.
In principle, a good guest, I liked the bed, and the room as a whole.
I didn't like it - the lack of water in the room, the lack of personal hygiene items (it has been possible to order dental hygiene kits for a long time.)
I liked the presence of an elevator, which is a big plus.
The breakfasts are decent, the staff is friendly. In general, we are satisfied, please tighten the amenities in the room and everything will be super 😉
I read flattering reviews at the Sputnik hotel and chose it, BUT the reality is a little different. The hotel is very middle class. It is impossible to live in rooms with windows facing the street: it is hot and very noisy because of the highway under the window. In addition, there is a parking lot of tourist buses under the windows, which have been driving engines since early morning. The staff is very lazy: they refused to move to the other side, the room is cleaned only after a complaint. There is no ventilation in the bathroom. There are towels, a shower cap, there is nothing else: there is no hair dryer, shampoo. And the breakfast buffet at the hotel is a complete nightmare! The choice is very limited, according to one type of everything and the cheapest possible Belarusian goods. It is impossible to drink coffee. There is no transfer at night. And it is he who is important, because during the day you can get by public transport. Conclusion: a hotel for the most unassuming tourists for one night (passing through), when there are no more options.
A great place to stop in Minsk. I booked it by phone in advance. We arrived in the morning, because it was weekdays and the hotel was not very busy - we were immediately checked in. Very pleasant and polite check-in service) thank you very much again.
The breakfasts are ordinary, the food is varied and delicious.
The plumbing is a little sad, but it didn't change the overall impression.
There is a bus stop nearby, transport to the center and anywhere)
It is convenient to take a travel card for several days and travel unlimited.
We stayed at the hotel for 4 days with the class. I liked everything. Clean, cozy, friendly staff. The buffet breakfasts are simply delicious. There are 2 bus stops to the center. You can also take a walk on foot. Nearby there are shops, a pharmacy, an ATM. Thank you for your hospitality.
The perfect place to stop. Not far from the center. Nearby there are shops, a transport stop. The room is clean, towels are changed on request. There is a soap and shampoo dispenser in the room, but no one filled them during the 6 days of stay. I had to buy soap at a nearby store. There is a working refrigerator in the room, but no kettle. The cooler is located near the elevators, it is not convenient to go to the end of the corridor with boiling water, the glass heats up strongly. Special thanks to the kitchen. It is very tasty, varied and homemade.
The hotel is conveniently located (bus stop nearby, close to the center, metro within walking distance). The room is normal for three stars.Cleaning every day. The breakfast buffet is excellent. The staff is attentive.I was surprised by the absence of a "Do not disturb" sign, the restaurant (more cafes) did not work at lunch and dinner, there is no bar.
A normal hotel for my money, to be honest, I expected the worst. And so everything is very decent: clean, the room is spacious, the bed is huge, there is good water pressure in the bathroom. There is a hairdryer and slippers in the room. Clean bed linen and towels. A good breakfast, you can eat for half a day. The location is normal, 10 minutes walk to the metro, one stop - and you are in the city center. There is a Euroopt store through the underpass, you can buy the necessary products. I didn't notice any cafes or restaurants nearby, although there was no such purpose. In general, if you need to stay for a couple of nights, the hotel is just right: both inexpensive and quite decent.
