We lived next to the park, so every morning and evening we always strolled through this wonderful place, passing to the tram stop number 1, a very convenient route. On the first day, we took a sightseeing tour, which included just all the sights gathered around the park. Very interesting, beautiful historical gems gathered in one place: the hippodrome, the palace of Ibrahim Pasha, the Blue Mosque, the palace of Top Cape. Additionally, apart from the tour, we ourselves went to Hagia Sophia, the basilica, and the archaeological museum here. In Hagia Sophia, you need to take a guide, you can't see a lot there because you don't know where to look, the guide found us near the mosque himself. I recommend going to museums in the morning, there are long queues everywhere for lunch. There are many cafes around, they sell corn, chestnuts, bagels for snacks. There is a fountain in the center of the square, and a mosaic in a circle around it. You can have a budget meal in an analogue of our potato chips, very large portions. Inexpensive and satisfying - doners. Two stops up the street- Grand Bazaar. If you like to walk, you can walk. One stop down is Gulhane Park. In general, there is beauty all around and it is very intense! All the most important historical buildings are here.
It's a small, pleasant park, and there are a couple of parrots in the playground area. On one side of the park there is an exit to the beautiful embankment, on the other the entrance to the Top Cape Palace and Sultanahmet Square. There is a nice free Cistern in the park, which is important for those who want to save money. I didn't like that most of the lawns and flower beds are covered with fences, but as I understand it, this is a necessary measure, otherwise the Turks will tear everything down and trample it, I witnessed it myself. All toilets on the istambul 5 lira card and not only in this park, you can purchase it at metro and tram stations.
Sultan Ahmet Park in Istanbul is a great place for walking and relaxing. Located in the historical center of the city, the park is surrounded by famous landmarks such as the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia. Green lawns and cozy benches create an atmosphere of tranquility. An ideal place for photo shoots and family activities. The park is well maintained, clean and safe, which makes it attractive to tourists and locals. I definitely recommend you to visit!
I strongly advise you to stay in this area, convenient transportation, all the main attractions are within walking distance. Be sure to try simits, roasted chestnuts, and grilled corn.
A beautiful place in the heart of the Fatih district, always crowded and noisy, a must-visit, is located between two mosques - Sultanahmet (Naked Mosque) and Ayasofiya (Former Orthodox Cathedral of St.Sofia). There is a huge fountain in the center, there are many benches to sit down, but there is not always a place, some are located right on the lawns. Beautiful lighting at night. There is a T1 tram stop nearby, many cafes and restaurants, a Basilica Cistern, a hammam, ice cream vendors, etc.shops with food and souvenirs. Gulhane Park is within walking distance. In one of the cafes, you can admire the dancing of dervishes daily (you can also watch it from the street). The photos here are extraordinary at any time of the day. Passage to both mosques is free, everyone can look in, subject to the dress code (those with inappropriate clothes are given shawls and skirts, you must take off your shoes), very often there are huge queues, but they move quickly.
This is my favorite place in Istanbul. The atmosphere is just a cannon! There are a lot of tourists, but no one bothers anyone. There is an underground toilet, one for the entire large area. The fountain was open in December. The cruise tour operators were confused, they very persistently wanted to take a ride along the Bosphorus, this alienated us and we did not go.
It's nice to stroll through the park between the two mosques. In hot weather, go to the always cool fountain. Magnificent view during the day and evening square full of lights.
An iconic place. There are so many attractions in a small square! St. Sophia, Blue Mosque, Hurrem Sultan Hamam, Akhmet Mausoleum, Ibrahim Palace, Hippodrome, Fountains, Column, etc. Just goosebumps from the concentration of the story. There are events going back centuries on every meter.
A great place to just go for a walk. The fountain is illuminated in the evening. Lots of tulips, seagulls and cats. It's very clean, Turks often have a picnic right on the grass.
It was beautiful and pleasant here. Everything is highlighted in the evening. On one side is AyaSofia, on the other the glowing Sultanahmet. We were in the holy month and a lot of people had an evening picnic on the grass in the park.
It was interesting to see.. historical sites expand the understanding of the world order. It's spacious, there are a lot of people. Huge queues at the mosque. There are benches, you can pull back.
To say that a magical place is nothing to say. You just have to visit there and soak up the whole atmosphere of Istanbul. Other sights of the city such as the Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, the heart of the Ottomans, and the Basilica Cistern are within walking distance.
The main sights of Istanbul. I liked the basilica and the blue Mosque the most, you can freely enter it after taking off your shoes. In my opinion, the passage to St. Sophia's Temple is not worth the money, they are not allowed on the first floor and it is in a very neglected state
A truly historic and beautiful place! It's the same for an evening walk! And eat, drink tea, sit and enjoy the views! Cats are eternal attracts of tourists' attention
A must-visit. It's amazing! Don't forget to take a shoe bag and strictly follow the dress code! If I'm not mistaken, there is the only free Toilet in the center of Istanbul on the territory of the Temple.
This is the place where every tourist should visit. There are no disadvantages to this place. There are about 5 attractions nearby that you will visit in Istanbul. This is the gathering and departure point for all tourists.
You can stop, relax, eat a bagel and run on.
It's a great place! Istanbul is beautiful! They didn't get into the mosque because the queue was huge! Considering that our St. Sophia is now paid, everyone stands in Sultan Akhmet..
The whole area is a must-visit... go down a little and walk through the small streets... eat national fast food potatoes with various fillings on the site
Istanbul must be visited and seen with your own eyes! Impressions will remain for a lifetime from the fact that you can touch a piece of history, see the most beautiful mosques and ancient buildings.
It's a great place, but it's better to come in the morning before the invasion of a crowd of tourists and enjoy the beauty in peace and quiet with a cup of coffee.
Very beautiful!
Clean despite the large number of people.
There is a place to sit.
There are many cafes. You can meet any nationality, especially Turks.
There is a blue mosque nearby 🕌
Sofia Mosque 💒
The Sultan's Tomb
Topkapi Palace
Etc.
A very well-organized space surrounded by architectural masterpieces, there is a toilet and several food outlets of different levels, beautiful, convenient, memorable, convenient transport structure.
A beautiful park is located in the very center of the district, there are many shops with beautiful views of the main attractions.
You can sit on the grass.
It's even more beautiful in the evening light.
There are many angles for beautiful photos.
I love Sultan Ahmet Square. I was on it in winter and summer, in rain and in sunny weather. This square is beautiful! Fountains, flower beds, everything is very well maintained. The architecture of antiquity fascinates and invites you to love Istanbul with all your heart
The area is large, lawns are mowed, palm trees are planted, fir trees, a lot of people, a lot of seagulls are all fed. The fountain is beautiful. The mosque itself looks majestic. You can take good photos.
The beauty and grandeur of the two cathedrals strikes at the very heart! In the evening, under the starlight and illumination, these majestic buildings are no less beautiful!
What I saw met the expectation 100%. Of course there are a lot of tourists, but they are the same as yourself. And everyone has happy faces. This is the most important indicator!!!
It takes a long time to find a photo
A place of power and beauty , the center of Istanbul... there are few people in the evenings and it's nice to sit and drink coffee . Basking in the sun during the day
Relaxing by the fountain is a great idea after long walks around the city. You can sit in a cafe, or you can sit on benches. Calm, clean, but a lot of people

It is a very beautiful place, the very first attraction I visited in Istanbul. It offers a magnificent view of Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque. A beautiful, large fountain. For photos and videos, go here.
A beautiful place to relax, one of the main attractions, full of tourists around the clock. Nearby Sultanahmet, Ayasofiya, transport, many shops with souvenirs.
There are a lot of people, the center of attraction for tourists. In my opinion, it is better to visit other places, such as the Suleymaniye Mosque, from where you will have a beautiful view of the whole of Istanbul, while visiting the territory will be free.
Very beautiful places and it is nice that the historical flavor of this area has been preserved. The temple of Ai Sofia is especially impressive🥰 despite the huge number of people (mostly tourists), everything is clean everywhere 👍🏻
It is impossible to put into words all the magical beauty of this place. This is a true paradise on earth, which leaves an indelible mark on the heart and soul. 🌸🌺
