The hotel is not bad (we were in 2019), on the same territory with Cesar Thalasso, respectively, you can get (for an additional fee) all spa treatments, massages, etc., which Djerba is famous for.
We rested with a child of 4 months, almost everything was pleasant, the hotel is for a quiet, relaxing holiday. On the territory of 1 large swimming pool with a bar, unobtrusive animation in the afternoon and evening, no noise, screeching)
There is an area with a swimming pool for vacationers without children.
The sea is close, but sometimes there are a lot of algae (we were in no hurry to clean them up), there are not always enough sunbeds. There is a cafe, ride camels))
Near the water park is very large, paid.
The numbers are different, but as it often happens, they will settle in better if they "forgot" some bill in the passport)) The cleaning is good. The staff is friendly, they hooted at the sight of the baby, as with a native)). But they don't speak Russian or even English from the word "absolutely"! only French.
The food is excellent for every taste! Even I, a nursing mother with many restrictions, had enough of everything!
Another + for me personally is that you can leave the territory to walk into the city. (I can't stand "reservations" without going beyond the fence of the hotel) Nearby are tourist places with appropriate prices, and to go a little further away are ordinary shops, pharmacies, cafes for locals. Even further away (you can take a cheap taxi) is an imported alcohol store, if you are not satisfied with the local one at the hotel. After all, the country is Muslim, alcohol is prohibited, and do not forget about the dress code in the city) Tourists ride on fancy carts.
I would definitely come back!
We stayed at the hotel in September 2019. The territory is large, well-groomed, the animation is unobtrusive, but everything is offered, the kitchen is excellent and varied, for every taste, the rooms are good and comfortable, the air conditioners work, disco and entertainment every day, and at the same time in different bars, there is excellent and varied alcohol in the bars. The only disadvantage is the beach, there are not enough sunbeds, although they are there, but the guard does not expose them, dirt in the toilets and in the beach bar. We had a great rest, I want to go back! I would come to this hotel again.
It doesn't pull for 4, it's even a pity to put a three. This hotel is called differently on different sites, Mimar Djerba Palace is also called. A bad hotel, they do not respond to complaints from vacationers. Dirty restaurant, not tasty food, huge queues. I was constantly nauseated by the environment, food is grabbed from the tables with my hands, bites are put back, the staff does not follow hygiene from the word at all, watermelons, cakes are all grabbed with their hands... there is complete unsanitary conditions all around. There is nothing to eat, there is nowhere else to eat on the territory except this "restaurant". The sea is far away. We had a rest in August 2021, all the Russians who were there wrote requests for relocation to other hotels, the tour operators did not help, as well as with the problem of food in the hotel. We went to write a complaint to the director, promised to solve it, but did nothing. We went to eat 1 time a day so as not to stay hungry. This is my third time in Tunisia and I returned completely disappointed with the place. I also noticed the attitude of disdain towards Russians, everyone who speaks French and Arabic is served better and faster, even when it's your turn. Find another hotel, it's not a vacation for experimentation.
Review of accommodation at the Cesar Thalasso 4* hotel (Tunis, Djerba), located on the same territory as the Sunconnect Hotel.
We had a rest in September 2019. A 4-star hotel with a big minus, there are several reasons:
1 - the sea and the coastal strip are covered in algae that are not cleaned, it is dirty!
2 - the hotel is focused on the French in everything: they are separately accommodated in the best rooms in a separate building, primarily served at the bar (poured into separate glasses of larger capacity), seats are reserved in the restaurant only for them, etc...
3 - service the hotel staff is also focused on the French, cleaning in their rooms with change of linen and towels regularly, from the Russians on request. A special award party is held only for the French.
The result is that Russians are looked down on, everything is much worse on the territory of the Sunconnect hotel, theft is rampant.
Otherwise, the hotel is not bad, suitable for tourists who are visiting Tunisia and Djerba for the first time, but we will not return here again.
Beautiful sea. The hotel is generally not bad, but the air conditioning has been turned off since mid-October. But it's hot outside by our standards, and the room is stuffy. But later they turned it on again, after asking for a prescription. Food: breakfast is a little meager, but you won't stay hungry. Lunches and dinners are good. And varied and delicious. There is enough of everything, but sometimes there are not enough dishes. And the hot drinks machine is working intermittently. The waiters are great - they run, clean, help. Camels and horses are constantly hanging out on the beach. The view is very picturesque. But the waste products are hanging out right there. The beach is a fine sand and a gentle and long entry into the sea - a great place for children and their parents to play. The road to the beach does not seem to be far, but still not quite on the shore. You need to walk for 10-15 minutes. In general, the impressions are contradictory, but the overall impression is very good.
Great hotel! The staff is pleasant and helpful. The territory is very large and well maintained. The beach is clean, cleaned every morning. The hotel is well suited for a quiet, relaxing holiday.
Everything is super - food, staff, animation, local alcohol in bars. There are small questions about the rooms, but you can change them for a small surcharge to a more comfortable room. Get ready for the fact that Russian is spoken so little here that it is easier to explain on your fingers, all communication is mainly in French, sometimes English. I highly recommend this hotel to visit.

It's a big area, but you walk in a maze of rooms
There is a small beach more than 500 meters from the sea
There are very few sunbeds on the beach
The staff sells sunbeds for 2 dinars
It is not suitable for children under 3 years of age at all (there are no products for children)
Pharmacies and shops can only be reached by taxi
2 hours are given for lunch (imagine what happens in the dining room)
The children's animation is the same every evening
Breaks in the exchange of money at the reception!
Very old room stock! In 2017, only cosmetics were carried out, but they are served as a reconstruction!
There is a constant smell of dampness in the rooms on the ground floor
In the morning, the room is cleaned, taking old towels, and new ones are brought after 14 o'clock! Very strange!
A big and fat plus is the reception staff! Responsive, executive. We are always ready to help!
Boorish behavior of the French: they came to the beach early in the morning, put their things on the sun beds and went to the sea! Imagine our surprise when, upon returning, we found things in another place, and strangers were lying in our place. We vacated our sun beds and at that time an elderly French woman ran up to us and began shouting that these sun beds were reserved! I had to send her away! At the sight of the conflict, the hotel staff disappeared from the beach!
French tourists smoke everywhere and they don't care that there are small children nearby! Making comments is just wasting time.
The ugly behavior of the staff in bars! They are trying in every possible way to spoil the mood for tourists from Russia, then they will pour a cocktail into a paper cup, then they will give only one glass of beer in their hands, although before that three or four glasses were shipped to the French
One thing can be said about the dining room: with the increase in the number of tourists, there are more problems: the lack of plates, not timely replacement of dishes, you can wait 15-20 minutes until the table is prepared!
To sum up, we can say that the hotel does not pull for 4! Three and that with difficulty! We fell for the reviews of the French and paid for it! They perceive this hotel as their property, and we as uninvited guests!
We didn't notice much difference in the sea and climate with the continent! Don't set foot on Djerba anymore! Only the mainland!
I do not attach photos, because there are enough of them already!
A super hotel.everything is new, they are being fed for slaughter. There is a lot of meat, fish, and seafood in the assortment. Ice cream, fruits.
Excellent dry red wine.
The rooms are new, just huge. I recommend it to everyone
I had a rest at the end of September 2019. The hotel was not surprised in any way, either positively or negatively. Of course, it does not pull at 4+, but 4 can be safely put. Actually, the hotel lived up to expectations. The rooms are no different from the similar star rating in Turkey or Egypt. To wash or vacuum cleanly, the staff does not bother much, either for money or without it. Only with a magic kick. They can put a few small towels, but forget about the big ones. There is quite enough food. There were no special frills and pickles, everything was standard. The complete absence of watermelons and dates amused me. All the palm trees on the territory are covered in dates, but there are none in the dining room. Seafood is also a pity. We had mussels a couple of times in 12 days, and a couple of times pasta with seafood. Apples, pears, plums, peaches, melons every day and in abundance. There are three types of ice cream every day and for breakfast too. Strong alcohol is quite tolerable, they pour it - they do not regret it. At least a whole big glass of rum or whiskey or something strong and clean will be poured if you ask. No one is worried if you drag him to the room, only they will pour him into a soft cup. I didn't notice much difference in attitude towards us and the French, and I felt like 70 percent of the hotel was Russian. By the way, they try to learn Russian, perhaps even more than English. As for the sunbeds on the beach - yes, this is a disaster. If you don't take a sunbed at six, at six-thirty in the morning, by 8 o'clock you can't even think about it, there won't be any free ones. The last couple of days before my departure, people were just lying on towels on the sand by the sea. There were practically no algae, the sea was clean, but, alas, shallow. It's kind of uncomfortable in the bar by the sea. At 10:00 there is a hefty queue for beer, which, by the way, ends pretty quickly. Then, to the truth, they roll up a couple more barrels. Camels and horses, and dogs too, are an absolute attribute of the coastline. There are 4 pools in my opinion. The closest one to the sea with seawater, doesn't even stink of chlorine! The animation is usual, of course in French, but they try to insert Russian words as well. In general, it's standard, you can relax. Not far from the hotel (7-10 minutes on foot) there is a shop, such as a fixed price. The prices are reasonable. Decent camel leather bags of the order of 30-40 dinars. Sneakers for 10-15, soap is very good and fragrant for 7-8 and a bunch of other little things. You can also take a taxi to the market in Midun (3.5 - 5 dinars, depends on the greed of the driver). That's about it. Yes, I sincerely advise you to go on a two-day tour of 3 capitals: El Jem, Carthage and Tunis itself. I took it from Pegasus, 125 dollars. Informative. I think it is quite enough to give an impression of Tunisia.
It was 10 days
The food is good
The sea is about 500 meters away , very far
It is the bar staff who are all evil, they are constantly waiting for tea ,
We smoked hookah , the hookah maker is always not happy
I waited for the hookah for 30 minutes , then he freaked out and threw it on the table , they say , to choke
The sea was clear for 4 days , then the storm and the waves became cloudy (from the weather )
The water park is paid , free for the French
In October, the air conditioner did not work, mosquitoes
Taxi is cheap by the way
I stayed at this hotel in September of this year. I liked everything: the infrastructure, the beach and the food. A small minus: the staff does not speak English well and the rooms are cleaned if you ask them a hundred times. As it is, everything is fine.
The hotel is 3 stars in fact.
There is no sauna, gym, hammam.
There is a paid one in the Center on the territory of the hotel, but it is unrealistically expensive.
Sunbeds on the beach should be occupied in the morning, otherwise there is nowhere to lie down.
Alcohol is not served at the beach bar by the sea. The food is poor, but of good quality. You'd better go to a nearby hotel.
There are no evening shows or animations.
Clean white sand and excellent sea are provided. The rooms are all good.
In general, I do not recommend this hotel for young people. Some pensioners
1. Flight. The North Wind Airline. Be careful, the weight of luggage is not more than 20 kg per person or 30 kg of 1 seat! for two people. Lunch is 485 rubles per person. Seats on the plane can be booked from 1200 to 2500 rubles, or seats will be given by a robot. You can't ask for good places.
2. Rooms. Ordinary. We got a room where there was a terrible smell of sewage (94). They moved to 454, they were broken in the bathroom, the shower hose was leaking. We did not address these issues, it was just laziness. Room cleaning is superficial. The bed will be made, slightly washed with a rag, and that's it.
3. Food. Usual. There is no pork, the rest is without problems and queues. A la card restaurant is a joke, I do not recommend it
4. Alcohol. Everything is very good here, it pulls on ultra all inclusive. If you are a pastis lover, this is your hotel!
5. The beach. It's a long way from the hotel, 500 meters, algae, which are cleaned with varying success. There is a paid water park near the beach. We didn't go.
6. Entertainment at the hotel. For a C grade. Karaoke in the evening, aerobics for aunts in the afternoon, children's and adult disco in the evening. I recommend visiting a crocodile farm. On its own, it is 2 times cheaper. Wait for a taxi for 1-2 minutes.
7. Gifts and alcohol at home. I recommend buying to the airport. Alcohol in aljazir, gifts in medun. You can bargain in medun. The price can be reduced by 4 times. At the airport, there is no duty free! There is another way to buy cheap alcohol. How, I won't say, I don't want to let anyone down. A smart one will understand.
8. Conclusions. The hotel is not for the pampered. Are you used to cool fives? This hotel is not for you. You have never been abroad or visited only threesomes, go boldly, you should like it
We've already been there three times, we really like it. Of course, there are pros and cons everywhere. But the main thing is to go with a positive attitude)
Well-groomed, clean territory. We were with a four-year-old child and there were no problems with nutrition or anything else. The beach is great, the tractor went to clean the algae and smoothed the sand every day!
