The place is quite big and there are many areas that are left wild and many others that are not accessible because of dangers of various types (usually fall of materials). Though, the paths can take you away from the noises of the city, to be surrounded mainly by the ever present singing of cicadas. Some views from above are amazing and, for about the garden, what I enjoyed the most was the part close to the river and the waterfall which is better kept. At the end of the visit you might wish to take the cable car from mother Georgia to go back to town.
Hello everyone
A cool park with terraces. It reaches almost to the top of Mtatsminda. It has a very large territory with paths, a waterfall, bridges, stairs, etc. There is an exit to the site with the statue of Mother Georgia and the Narikala fortress. Definitely the first point to visit in good weather. The place of the best panoramic views of Tbilisi. There are several entrances. I recommend it from Botany Street. For those who like adventures, there is a staircase if you go up the alleys from Betlemi Street.
A garden of Eden for leisurely walks and meditations, the cleanest air, the sound of waterfalls, birdsong, murmuring streams, the scent of herbs, the best panoramic views of the city. Here you can get lost for half a day, find yourself on a bench with a view of eternity, and then ... discover that you have risen almost to the clouds!
P.S. Take water and a camera with you — beauty here requires drinking and memory. 📸💧
A delightful garden! Very beautiful! It's a pleasure to walk in it! There are many places where you can sit and observe nature! Everything is clean and tidy. You can safely stay there for 2-3 hours. The higher you climb, the more beautiful the views of the city become!
A great place to get out of the hustle and bustle of the city. The park is a bit wild, but no less attractive. Waterfalls, a small grove of bamboo and even redwood trees, though small, are all for relaxation and enjoyment. You can walk up from the sulfur baths, or by funicular. I recommend.
We walked there for three hours, and we would have walked for the same amount more, we only had time to go in one direction. The views are breathtaking, there are waterfalls, a bamboo grove, rope bridges. However, there are no organized toilets and no pit stops, for this you will have to go back up and out of the botanical garden. We didn't find any other particularly interesting rare plants, although, again, we may have chosen the wrong route. Overall, it looks more like a wilderness, for better or worse.
A huge garden with many interesting locations and a variety of plants. It is better to enter from above, the entrance is 100m from the monument to Mother Georgia. Then, in order to go down all the time, we went in from the lower entrance and the road was always uphill. I recommend you to visit
Now the place in Tbilisi is quiet, fresh and beautiful. You can walk in this park forever-it's very, very big. There are not enough places to buy water, although it may be better-tents with souvenirs will spoil the atmosphere of the garden.
I recommend going here for the whole day stocking up on sandwiches and tea. Grab a cutlet for the local seals, they are very thin and hungry here((
It was spring, and the central paths were well maintained. But a little aside and the feeling disappears that you are in a botanical garden, somehow I did not have enough flowers, there was one bush of irises, one bush of lilac, although there is plenty of room... Probably for summer Tbilisi, and even when the roses are in bloom, this will not be the worst option for a holiday.
And please be vigilant, the age lady at the ticket office answered my question of how much the entrance ticket costs without batting an eye, 100 lari, I paid with a card and the real ticket price TURNED OUT to be 4 LARI!!!!
It's a very beautiful park. We found 2 entrances to it. One is from the sulfur baths, the other is from the "Mother Kartli" stella. The second one is very inconspicuous and easy to miss if you go from it and go down all the time. It's a very beautiful park, colorful. I advise you to visit.
Excellent botanical garden. There are many different plants, a huge number of routes where you can walk. It's a pity the rocky side of the river was closed due to rockfalls.
It's a beautiful park, it's clear that it's being developed, and there are many new plantings. But at the same time, a lot of things are blocked (gazebo, bridges) and this disrupts the route and spoils the impression.
I was also very upset that we came to admire the lilac and saw how an employee of the park was breaking it at home at the end of the working day. We made a comment, and she said, "I work here and I know what I'm doing." It's sad to watch this.
The botanical garden is nice. There are many very interesting plants. The area is large. I would like to learn more about plants, inscriptions in English and Georgian.
A great place for walking, the park is very large, you can spend the whole day there.
The cost is 4 GEL
It is better to climb on a suspension road, 2.5 GEL per person
There's a lot to see. A variety of flowering plants in January, cedars in three or four girths. Waterfalls. Beautiful mountain forks, bridge over the gorge
A huge territory. Magnificent plants. Be sure to visit the greenhouse. Although it is in a deplorable state, we managed to communicate with a woman whose efforts preserved both the greenhouse itself and the plants collected in it. The enthusiasm and dedication of such people is respected!
It is a great place for walking with children, and it will be interesting for adults too. A beautiful waterfall, a pond with wildlife, a garden with lilacs (in May everything is in bloom), a variety of trees and flowers that can be explored along the path and path of the park. A well-maintained and pleasant favorite place in the city.
It's just incredibly cool here. Walking is a pleasure, but if you are not used to going uphill, it can be difficult. Cool waterfalls and lots of plants.
I was walking along a hiking trail from past Narikala and the finish point was the Botsad (entrance next to the mosque)). Go through the entire kindergarten to the waterfall. There is a bamboo grove, a garden, a beautiful view and an ascent to the Mother of Georgia, from where you can go down the cable car for 2.5 Laras to Rike Park
It is a little difficult with accessibility, but the garden itself is beyond praise: beautiful, clean, drinking fountains, toilets, benches, very well-groomed territory, even the absence of a cafe plus - no garbage!
I really liked it! I was really in late November and early December, so nothing was blooming, but it was still beautiful. Probably because there were practically no people)) I also saw a beautiful Hohobi bird and was very impressed. Well, it's always a joy for a Petersburger to breathe the mountain air among the lush greenery in December.👍
A very good place to walk. I liked the large number of water sources (waterfalls, rivers and fountains with drinking water). It's a pity the entrance to the lower waterfall was closed (it was in September). There is a greenhouse with a variety of plants. There are many trees and shrubs planted throughout the territory. I advise you to visit
The entrance to the botanical garden begins with a picturesque alley surrounded by flowering trees and shrubs. Walking through the garden, I was fascinated by its diversity and well-groomed appearance. Here you can find many thematic zones, each of which is dedicated to different plant species and ecosystems. From subtropical and tropical plants to coniferous and deciduous trees, the garden offers a unique opportunity to get acquainted with the flora of different parts of the planet.
A great park. Big. You can enter both from the city and from the mountain. There is nothing super exotic, but how to walk is a great place. There are a lot of greenery, trees and many places where you can sit. The territory is large.
I come here for a walk every year. And this year, the disappointment is that they repaired the roads during the flowering period. The descent to the waterfall was also closed. Anyway, I don't think I'm going to come here anymore.
I want to return to the Batumi bot garden an infinite number of times.
I managed to get in the third time. The first one just didn't work, the second one was closed, and the third one succeeded. It's very beautiful and peaceful there, there are a lot of people in the beginning, but if you go further, you can generally enjoy a walk alone and enjoy the beauty and silence.
A large and beautiful garden with lots of plants. Drinking fountains are quite common. The upper part offers a beautiful view of the city and the fortress. There is little information on plants. If there are signs, they are often burnt out from the Sun and are uninformative.
It is interesting to take a walk and relax from the hustle and bustle of the city. Good view of the surroundings and the fortress.
In general, the park is like a park.
The ancient botanical garden is located in a deep gorge, even on a hot day it is cool and shady there. Paths, waterfalls, flowerbeds. Children can splash in the stream. It's just a pity that a significant part of the paths under the fortress are closed due to the danger of rockfalls....
A very nice botanical garden. You can walk all day and still not have time to see everything. There are many interesting plants, a beautiful gorge with a river, there are drinking fountains everywhere (so even in the hottest weather you can't die of thirst). The landscape is perfectly complemented by the walls and buildings of the ancient fortress. I recommend that you definitely visit.
An extensive botanical garden with various plants and landscapes, landscaped, good paths, many benches, fountains with drinking water. I advise those who like to take a leisurely walk in nature.
We didn't get to the Botanical Garden right away — we wanted to several times, but we didn't have time because it closes early, at 19:30.
We really liked the inside. The garden is located in a picturesque gorge behind Mother Georgia. There are paths along the river, waterfalls, bridges and a lot of greenery and flowers. I especially liked the pond with croaking frogs and the tall bamboo.
Of the disadvantages, except for early closing, there is no food on site. I understand that there is less garbage this way, but we were very hungry and would have been happy to intercept something at the entrance. Therefore, I advise tourists: take a snack with you. We saw several companies having small picnics by the river.
We will come here again the next time we arrive.
The entrance at the upper station of the cable car is not working and there is no sign about the reason for this. There is also no sign that there is another entrance 300 meters to the right. There are many paths blocked in the park, and something is being built. In general, it is recommended to visit in the heat. But the feeling of abandonment does not leave
When visiting the fortress, it was possible to visit the botanical garden, which is located at the bottom, where the stairs lead. A very picturesque and well-groomed place where you can walk for a long time. It turned out great photos, especially at the waterfall. There are many different types of plants, a beautiful artificial pond in the center of the park with lotuses. When you walk here, you forget about the hustle and bustle and reflect on the beautiful creations of our Creator.
As it is written: "His invisible qualities — eternal power and divine essence-are clearly visible from the creation of the world, because they are recognized through what is created, so there is no justification for them" (Romans 1:20).
a great place to walk! part of the garden is closed, but I really liked the one that is open! the road goes up, but there are no very difficult slopes.
Stunning views, multiple tiers. But you need to be prepared for the fact that you have to go uphill.
Take food with you, there are wonderful picnicking spots.
A good place to walk. Beautiful photos. Cacti grow on the mountain. There is a drinking fountain. The cable car from the park below. Observation decks with views of the whole city.
A beautiful walk through the botanical garden in Tbilisi, in March. I can imagine what it's like there in the summer, when everything blooms and smells!
A great park for walking and relaxing, a waterfall, a stream, a lot of shady trees, it's good to hide from the heat, a lot of drinking fountains, the main thing is not to rush anywhere)
This is the place that you definitely need to visit! The garden is ancient, the natural landscape is used, downhill, downhill, waterfall, bridges, ponds.... Enjoy it at any time of the year. It was fun-wisteria, lilacs (oh, what a collection there!!!), tulips, acacias bloomed.... Yes, everything was blooming and smelled!!! You need to go there!
The territory of the park is very large, and the price per person of 4 GEL is worth it. It's just a pity that some trails are closed due to the possibility of rockfall, I hope in the future they will solve this problem so that you can explore all corners of this place. The Japanese garden was still surprised, we found it by chance)
A place where you can not only walk, but also admire the beautiful nature and views of the city. It is better to enter from the top. There is a recreation area below.
The place is top! Get ready to walk on it for at least 5 hours. The garden is very large and very beautiful. There is a lot of shade in hot weather. The sea views are beautiful. There are countless trails.
