Once in Istanbul during the New Year holidays, the park was once again used by Marmaray. High-speed trains connect the European and Asian parts of Istanbul.
You can also take the Subway. It is very convenient, fast and inexpensive, 40 liras (according to the Istanbul map). In rubles, no more than 150 rubles
Since we lived in the Fatih area, there was an entrance to the railway station around the corner of the hotel.
Sirkeci Train Station in Istanbul is a really cool place! The legendary Orient Express stopped here, which gives this place a special atmosphere. Although the station itself won't say that it's straight wow, but it's definitely worth a look if you're passing by.
The station has a metro line, which makes it convenient to visit. You can also find cafes serving delicious tea here — a great place to relax after a walk.
The train station described in the Orient Express. I expected something more. There is a cafe and a free museum. By the way, I liked the museum. There are many authentic exhibits, although everything is located in a small room.
It's a beautiful place. We came to see the departure point of the Orient Express from a historical point. Everything is beautiful. Inside the cafe by appointment. Outside, you can drink tea at the tables. But we were unlucky, the waiter was very angry, the service was at zero. For this, a minus point
The historical part is perfectly preserved. The best coffee in an inconspicuous cafe with seals. But there is a cat smell. It didn't stop us from having a cup of Turkish coffee.
It 's a wonderful place . very beautiful! Incomparable architecture , a functioning railway station with a history . Agatha Christie's Orient Express was filmed here.
Sirkeci Railway Station in Istanbul is an operational railway station. Most likely, it has been repaired many times, but it will leave an impression in your memory. There is a cafe where you can drink tea or coffee. It was interesting to see the train station that once connected Istanbul with Europe.
All my reviews about Istanbul are in other maps.
Sirkeci district is the most convenient and safe place in Sultanahmet to stay. Near the Egyptian bazaar, Eminenyu and Galata Bridge, Topkapi and Archaeological Museum.. From here it is close on foot to Istiklal.. And in general, it is convenient that any transport is nearby - ferries, trams, buses. There is also the Marmaray metro station - under the Bosphorus in Uskyudar. Funny - we drive for 3 minutes, climb / descend 12)))
The station itself is beautiful, it was here that VE arrived. There is a free museum with copies of the VE, there are performances of dervishes.
It is a very interesting and atmospheric place. The spirit of the era of the early 20th century. Agatha Christie- Murder on the Orient Express. If this is not an empty phrase for you, then you are definitely in court. Free museum on the territory of the station. Great photo zones.
4+ Is not to say that it is a direct attraction, but you can visit it. There is a small exposition associated with the station and responsive staff. ☝️ Here (in the mini-museum) you can buy tickets for the performance of the dervishes.
Simple, understandable, authentic. It is necessary to visit Istanbul as a tourist attraction. The place of departure of the Orient Express. You need to visit.

An authentic place. Convenient location. At the exit from the metro, opposite the ticket offices, there is a luggage storage (separate self-service cameras). The scoreboard is in different languages (there is also Russian). Rent for 12 hours costs 200 lira (but does not accept one bill, prepare small ones) - this is about 700 rubles. It is very convenient for those who want to take a light walk to Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque.
The station is famous for the fact that it is here that the famous Orient Express arrives, whose route begins in London. Actually, that's it. The photos are cool.
Viewing for 10 minutes maximum if you do not go to the cafe. More for Poirot lovers than just tourists, but there is an exit to the Galata Bridge nearby.
You can imagine how a train arrives at the station in pairs, ladies in floor-length dresses and with lace umbrellas, accompanied by gentlemen, get out of the cars and move into the city!
The old famous little train station. There is a small museum of the history of the railway and the Warsaw Express right in it. Admission is free. Very interesting.

I really liked this old historical building. Very beautiful stained glass windows. There is a small museum at the train station, admission is free. There is an old steam locomotive on the street.
We were there looking for a Dervish show. it turned out that (no more). In general, it is very crowded, because there is a Marmaray station (city train). from the cute one, it's like going to the left after the ticket offices of the old part of the station with a restaurant. Then it was blocked by repairs.
The train station where the Orient Express arrived. On the left there is a cafe and a restaurant decorated in a historical style. There is a free museum
The station is located in the European part of the historical center. From here you can get to different parts of Istanbul, convenient location, because, in the vicinity of trams, marina, buses, a bridge connects the northern part
An interesting structure, a train station of local departure, functional, beautiful. There is a commemorative illuminated steam locomotive at the entrance... Beauty
It's really a pity that our historical heritage is waiting to stick with the pier that has been established for 30 years, next to which the parking lot is a disgrace, both very expensive and ruined places have died, I'm very sad that when we get here, an urgent hand needs to be taken
It is worth visiting it for the sake of the story itself
Step onto the platform and imagine yourself for a moment as the hero of Agatha Christie's Orient Express
Enjoy the architecture of that time, which has survived to the present day
The Museum of Railway Transport is represented by a single steam locomotive lurking next to the building, and a sign for the Orient Express and a bell, as if it were the one that rang when that very express arrived.
Yes, this is Sirkeci Train station, a very central and very popular place as a meeting point. The fact that it has a historical significance is a separate feature. It is a must-see place.
The station full of memories smelling of nostalgia, where people from Anatolia crossed to Thrace when we were children. It should definitely be your people. I say no to privatization.
We visited in the autumn of 2022. The museum was not working. The place is like a movie set. The visit will take 5 minutes, but it will definitely be remembered. I recommend a visit.
