Loveee love love this place. The scenery is amazing and soo soothing. I would love to camp here until it's evening and just rest looking at the stars. Sadly, there are no canopies or anything like that which also keeps the place clean so it's understandable. It does have an entrance fee which was 2000 AMD, if i remember it correctly, and it's SOO worth it. Would love to go back here again once I get a break from university.
I was there for the Triangulum Event and it was awesome, the place is like made for the events!
Other than this the temple itself deserves a visit or two. Recommended!
It's an amazing place to visit in Armenia. 3 places that amuse everyone who sees them, two in range of half a mile, and the third in 8 miles. Garni temple, Simphony of Stones, and Gegard cave monastery.
Smaller than expected, more restoration than original stones, but definitely worth visiting, you can wak from there through the gorge to Symphony of Stones, that's amazing.

One of the oldest and nices places you have to visit. Less then an hour drive from Yerevan
It is a very interesting place from a historical and archaeological point of view. Very beautiful views all around. The bright greenery in spring and the charm of autumn contribute to the color scheme of the surroundings. The restored Temple looks majestic. BUT I highly recommend preparing for a visit to this attraction. Either take a good guide or prepare yourself using the Internet. Then the visit to the temple will be interesting and memorable.
Entrance is paid.
I would recommend combining it with a visit to the Symphony of Stones and the Geghard Monastery.
A beautiful temple in a very beautiful place. This place has an interesting history. According to one of the most common versions, the Garni temple was dedicated to Mithras, a popular deity in the Middle East who became the patron god of the Roman Empire in the pre-Christian period. The name of Mithras is a synonym for the Greek Helios, the sun god. It is believed that the cult of Mithras originated in India, developing in Persia and Armenia into a Zoroastrian form in the Bronze and Iron Ages, from where it came to Greece with soldiers of the armies of Alexander the Great in the III–II centuries BC.
It's a very cool tourist destination.
In the 9 years since my last visit, I have become much prettier and transformed.
The whole area was put in proper shape for such a place.
Stunning views, the place impresses with its beauty.
View of the hills 10/10. The temple itself is ordinary, but pretty. Entrance is paid. In walking distance along the steep descent, the Symphony of Stones is quite an interesting and beautiful place. Admission is also paid, but cheaper.
A great place, atmospheric, very old, the view of the mountains is gorgeous, a must-visit and after it I highly recommend visiting the "symphony of stones" very beautiful
I recently visited the Garni Temple, I haven't been there for 10 years, and it was an unforgettable experience! The place has been greatly transformed, well landscaped. But the entrance has become paid)) Garni is an ancient Armenian temple, located on a picturesque background of mountains and gorges, which impresses with its architectural beauty and historical significance. Of course, it's better to go there on a weekday so that there are fewer people. The architecture of the temple is amazing: the columns, carvings and details are simply fascinating. The views from the temple grounds are especially impressive — they offer stunning panoramas of the surrounding landscape. If you are looking for a place for spiritual enrichment or just want to enjoy the beauty of nature and architecture, Garni Temple is the perfect choice. I will definitely come back here again!
An unreal place! Apart from the historical importance, what was valuable to me was the view there.. This is something amazing.
There are benches there from which you can admire the mountains and the gorge, it is very convenient. Nearby you can buy water and have a snack. There is always a shade to escape from the aggressive mountain sun.
It is a good place to admire nature.
And there are many birds flying there: crows, rock swallows, golden eagles and jackdaws. It was nice to see such diversity in such landscapes)
I would like to stay there for a couple of hours.
One of the famous sights of Armenia, not far from Yerevan, we went specifically for gata, they say the most delicious here is baklava and pomegranate juice, a beautiful place, the only preserved pagan temple.
An unusually beautiful place, there are not many people in early November. Entrance is paid, there are excursions. There is a toilet inside.
On the downside, the information signs are almost burned out. It would be nice to update them
This is not my first trip to this beautiful place. You will be amazed by the beauty and grandeur of the mountains, the temple itself, as well as the nearby stone symphony. Do not forget to go and see and learn the history of the ancient baths, they are located next to the temple (not reaching the right). You can buy a lot of souvenirs, goodies, drink coffee and have a delicious meal. I also recommend buying herbal tea, it makes a wonderful fragrant tea. It is especially well drunk on cold autumn or winter evenings. I recommend visiting on a comprehensive trip (Arch of Charents-Garni-Geghard- Stone Symphony)
The stunning beauty is not so much the temple, but the place chosen for it. A majestic building surrounded by majestic mountains, silence and the opportunity to think about the main thing.
An interesting place, the views are fascinating. The temple itself is a work of art.
It's hard to convey it in text, you have to see it!
I definitely recommend you to visit, but only after the symphony!
It's a beautiful architectural ensemble, I can't even imagine how it was reassembled. You can see where the old and new stones are located, they are very different. The territory is large, there is a place to walk. Entrance is paid.
The Garni Temple is an Armenian pagan temple dedicated to the sun god Mihr, built in the 1st century AD by King Trdat I, near the village of Garni. The temple was destroyed by the earthquake of 1679, rebuilt in Soviet times. The temple is architecturally similar to the Parthenon and Gefes in Athens - a Greco-Roman peripherum.
The views of the slopes of the Garami range are magnificent. A must visit, I highly recommend, also the Symphony of Stones and the Monastery of Gerard (2-10km).
A temple on the very edge of the Hellenistic world. It is very picturesquely located. We definitely need to go. But there are always a lot of tourists and excursions. It's just packed. The entrance fee is 500 AMD.
It's an incredibly beautiful place. It offers the most beautiful view of the mountains. We were lucky to get into sunny weather) A mandatory place to visit. You won't regret it
An incredible structure.
Stunning views.
A unique sauna complex.
I hope that they will continue to restore the historical complex.
You can make a great photo shoot.
There are a lot of tourists.
It is the only monument preserved on the territory of Armenia, and indeed in the entire post-Soviet space, dating back to the pre-Christian era. The Garni fortress was first mentioned by Tacitus in the first half of the 1st century AD.
Beautiful views open from this point!
The temple is on the way to all the attractions in this direction!
Entrance is paid, but the price is more symbolic
An interesting monument. You can't stand on the collapsed part with your feet, they scold you for it. You can enter the temple itself. You can take pictures around the temple. Go down from the temple a little lower and you will have a wonderful view of the cliff. There are baths and a beautiful park nearby. Lots of souvenirs. There is a cafe and a toilet.
The super cool views from this site and the temple itself are certainly impressive, parking is 200 drams, and there is little space for parking during peak hours.
If you are not impressed by the photos, believe me that they lie and hide 90% of the charm of this place. I take any guest of Yerevan to Garry and to the Symphony of Stones. And every time it's a discovery of splendor. Every time, the surprise of more than the memory remembers
One of the iconic places not only in Armenia, but also in the world. It is included in the UNESCO Heritage List. The area around is very well maintained, you can take your time and look around the panorama (it's worth it) and the temple itself.
The temple is small, the ticket is 1500 drams, it is better to take a ticket with a guide, it will be more interesting and understandable. You can buy coffee on site , but they don 't sell water .
The place has incredible energy!
There are a lot of tourists from all over the world, especially Chinese. Be sure to visit this place! I really want to come back. Have a nice stay!
Delight! A must-visit. An hour's drive from the airport. The structure is impressive, huge blocks of perfect machine surface treatment, laid with a seam of less than 1 mm. The views are magnificent, here you can spend half a day in peace.
It is a very atmospheric and interesting place. It is wonderful that the temple has been restored and maintained in good condition. There are viewpoints and beautiful mountains all around. After the temple, be sure to visit the "Symphony of Stones".
