The train station is normal. Please do not confuse the Central and Southern Railway stations - these are different exits.
The station has everything you need: cafes and restaurants, recreation areas, transport.
I recommend not to walk around the station idly, there are many places to relax, but annoying rums and homeless people will remind you of themselves regularly, as long as your wallet and phone are with you.

A good old train station with small waiting rooms, from where trains go to warmer climes.
Parking is available, but because of the "European" it is better to come here from the street, rather than drive in from the Garden (pain)
Walking out to the trains is like in the USSR, only for high-passable full-fledged people, no amenities, everything is across the street, and because of the "great struggle against terrorism" you will still have to go partially through narrow old doors and waiting rooms, ordinary civilians will not be allowed on the platform directly (although the cart drivers walk calmly)
The train station is a good one. The rules are idiotic, and all the innovations look idiotic too. Since the late 90s, it has only become more uncomfortable.

This is terrible!!!! This is Kiev, gentlemen! Kiev! The capital of Ukraine!
The train station is scary!!!!! There are no other words!!!! Homeless people, dirt, stench, lack of service and basic amenities! The waiting room on the ground floor is in semi-darkness, the neighbor's face is almost invisible, it is unrealistic to read - they save electricity!!! The seats are metal, worn out, located around the columns. In the corners there are two fenced-off small areas (in any sense of the word), in which children under the age of 14 can be located. There is a TV in these areas!!!!! 😯
The second floor is waiting rooms with wooden seats and a huge number of homeless people!!
The stench is incredible!!!
In general, homeless people sleep all over the station in all corners and nooks! Or, for example, near the cash register, right on the floor... It's purple for the police and the security service! I feel terribly sorry for these people!

The toilet is better not to go in!🤢 Ascent to the second floor from the main hall is possible via an escalator, BUT it is turned off for a break from 12:00 to 13:00 and at night and here HELL begins👹 To get to the second floor, from where there are exits to all tracks and platforms (with the exception of the first path, to it the exit from the main building) You need to overcome 6 flights of stairs!! With heavy bags and suitcases, this is a disastrous business! And it's like death to the elderly!!! At the same time, none of the staff will even think to help - they all don't care!! But it's part of the song! It will continue when you have to go down to the platform from the second floor😈 Even if you are lucky and you went up on the escalator, you will go down a narrow staircase on which two people barely disperse!!And on this ladder, right there, people are climbing off the platform! And just imagine the unfortunate elderly people with luggage in this hell!! Here the young and strong swear and fall🤬🤧
And now imagine how people with disabilities can move there?!
And with such a train station (I'm not talking about the city, the most beautiful city that once turned into ruins and garbage), people want to go to EUROPE!!! What kind of Europe is there? It is necessary to reach Belarus first, and then think about Europe! The sadness is complete....
