We were with our family at the opera "The Story of Kai and Gerda" and had a lot of fun. The atmosphere, music, performance, costumes, decorations-everything is at the highest level!
The best theater in Belarus with its historical traditions and performances.Opera and ballet performances : ,,The Nutcracker,, ,,,The Grey Legend,, , ,,Anna on the Neck,,
it gets better and better every year. The theater is located in a very beautiful place in a park on the riverbank. the level of opera productions is steadily increasing: I come here from Moscow to listen carefully :-) the interior of the theater is classic Soviet and it's beautiful — Soviet architects and designers did not hesitate to use the best practices of their predecessors: as a result, it is a very stylish room decorated with marble, wood and fabric, which is not only beautiful, but also provides excellent acoustic properties. whoever has not been here lives in vain, in short
We went on a tour of Belarus and took tickets to the Bolshoi Minsk Theater in advance. Some rave reviews! The hall, the foyer is shining! We watched the ballet Esmeralda. We had a lot of fun. The prices are sooo budget compared to Moscow theaters. We advise everyone!!
I liked the theater and the content) I was on the Nutcracker. Beautiful costumes. A wonderful ballet. I'm not an expert, I don't know the subtleties. But I enjoyed the production.
Cool theater! Tickets are not expensive, the staff are cool, kind people. The ballet Corsair performance is generally cool! We will definitely visit you on our next visit!!!!
the performances are great, the costumes, the performance, the scenery, everything is very good, there are a lot of places, the staff is friendly and pleasant, the distance between the seats is not thought out at all, you sit and breathe on someone... this is a minus, and of course the people who come sometimes are simply amazed by their bad manners, they sit chatting and behave just disgusting, but this is not the fault of the theater, so I recommend it.
The theater is gorgeous, I came from Moscow for a few days and went to Prince Igor, I liked it so much that I also went to Eugene Onegin. The theater itself is very beautiful, the vocalists sing beautifully. An incredible orchestra of strength. For a Muscovite, an opera for 500 rubles is just a gift from heaven!!! The next time I go to Minsk, I will book the opera in advance. Of the minuses, I can only note the absence of a Wi-Fi zone on the territory of the theater. I didn't have a local connection and, accordingly, the Internet, I had to look for the nearest cafe after the theater to call a taxi to the hotel. ))) But on the other hand, it's also good, a walk after the opera) In general, I advise everyone unequivocally!!!🔥🔥🔥🩷
For the main theater of the city, and possibly the country, it is passable. The prices are quite affordable, the productions are interesting, the actors of the theater are diligent. I was confused by the cerberus caretakers, who are ready to take your phone away from you, so long as you don't take pictures or take pictures. A normal practice for any theater, however, it is embodied in an aggressive manner, which overshadows the viewing of the play.
There was no goal to visit the historical haven of the muses and creative luminaries, but to see a monumental architectural creation is another matter
Even at first glance, one can feel the scale and power that the architects have invested in the capital's house of arts
And it's a pleasure to take photos against the background, having tasted local liqueurs
The building is beautiful from the Soviet Union. The interior is rich, everything is lined with marble. We were watching a bat. Good production and good voices. We recommend it!
The National Academic Bolshoi Opera and Ballet Theatre in Minsk is the largest in Belarus.
White marble, red velvet and crystal create a feeling
of restrained luxury.
A beautiful, cozy auditorium with tiered balconies and a modern stage allow viewers and classical lovers to enjoy opera and ballet art.
We visited the opera La Traviata with our daughter. The theater itself is amazing! This is one of the few buildings in Minsk that survived after the war, although the city was almost completely destroyed - the Germans knew a lot, and decided to keep the theater for themselves. The interior is very beautiful and solemn and at the same time without excessive pretentiousness. As for the production, you need to have a very good and subtle taste (and of course courage) in order to transfer the classic plot to the modern world. Everything was exactly like that here - carefully, tactfully, with taste. Well, the great music of Verdi and the vocal skills of the artists are creepy, to tears! At the end of the action, the whole hall gave a standing ovation!!! I was surprised by the lack of crowds and queues (to the cloakroom, buffet, toilet), as well as the location itself - a little away from the big streets, in a green park area. And yet, the rather early start and end time of the action is from 18:00 to 20:55 (although there were 3 intermissions between the actions!). What was the right decision - to take tickets to this theater in advance (ordered from Moscow, when planning a trip)! And by the way, the ticket price (1st row of the dress circle, the middle is about 600 Russian rubles), however, as well as the prices in the buffet are simply amazing! Oh, if our Big tickets cost that much, I wouldn't get out of there! 🤣
The theater is beautiful, snow-white, white marble inside, spacious, bright. We watched the ballet Corsair. After the Mariinsky Theatre, I would like to criticize the level of performance, but I will not. The performance is very colorful and still left a good mood. And tickets are more affordable than we have at the Mariinsky Theatre for ballet.
A wonderful theater! Beauty, cleanliness. The ball at the premiere of the play "Cinderella", the impression was excellent, I received a lot of pleasure. The scenery is magnificent, and the performance is beyond praise. It is a great pleasure to visit the opera house!
A very beautiful place, both outside and inside 😍😍😍
The architecture itself is beautiful, I want to look and look, and there is a wonderful park and fountains nearby
Among the advantages: affordable tickets (unlike in Russia, for example), but the level, of course, is not the same. Cool scene features - lights, visual effects. Of course, the live sound is cool. The level of the dancers is average, the vocals have been very disappointing in places lately. And I really want a ballet NOT by Elizariev, I want a fresh approach, new ideas and solutions. I am glad that the program always includes, in addition to classics, Belarusian productions: for example, according to Korotkevich.
A great experience of visiting the theater! The atmosphere, the atmosphere, the delicious smell of coffee in the lobbies. Opera Carmen is a delight for the eyes and ears
A magnificent place, always in full delight after visiting, the performances are one better than the other. On New Year's Eve, a fair is organized, classical music is playing on the street, houses with mulled wine, croissants, etc. near the fountain area. goodies, New Year's accessories.
A beautiful building both inside and out. Marble decoration, everything in the theater is in excellent condition.
We attended a concert in a small hall - excellent performance, selection of works, charming entertainer.
The chairs are new and comfortable, which is also important
We went to Minsk with our friends on purpose to go to the ballet Cinderella at the Bolshoi Theater. I liked the theater and the ballet too. The ticket price is budget. So I will still be in Belarus - I will come here again.
The high level of service, friendliness and communication culture of the theater staff is uplifting. The acting is also at a very high level. You can feel their dedication and a lot of work on stage. The costumes of the actors match their images, they are very beautiful! Theater tickets need to be bought about a month in advance, because they are disassembled very quickly. The theater will appeal to those who love live classical music.
Beautiful, pompous. The sweetest production of "The Nutcracker", absolutely doll-like, marshmallow-tender. The corps de ballet sometimes crashes, but the lead dancers are fine. The orchestra is also on a solid 4+.
The Bolshoi Theatre of Belarus is one of the advantages: affordable tickets (unlike in Russia, for example), but the level, of course, is not the same. Cool scene features - lights, visual effects. Of course, the live sound is cool. The level of the dancers is average, the vocals have been very disappointing in places lately. I love this place, cozy, graceful, beautiful view of old Minsk. Well, and most importantly, I love ballet and opera. Lavish interior decoration, wonderful stage, scenery, symphonic orchestra. Wow!!!
The seats are comfortable, the staff is polite. The halls need a little restoration (a little bit at all). I liked the performance, but I won't talk about it, because the review is about the theater itself :)
A great place for cultural leisure. In addition to the performances, everything is perfectly equipped: two buffets, many wonderful interesting installations-photo zones. Everything is thought out and made for people. Cleanliness and order
The best theater in Belarus. We went with the children to almost all children's performances. It was unusual for the children at once, and then they themselves asked when the next performance was))
This is my first time here and I really liked everything. I am proud of my country that there are such worthy places. A wonderful opera - "Eugene Onegin"!!!
A very beautiful theater, perfectly restored. During the performance, ventilation copes with its task. I am very pleased with the visit. There are many cafes inside, reasonable prices.
As always, this place leaves a storm of emotions! The beauty of the theater is off the scale! The luxury of chandeliers and marble stairs is mesmerizing! The incomparable performance of the actors, including the unnamed ones. Director's work, an orchestra that will never allow themselves a "cock", costumes! I always enjoy this fabulous atmosphere. A buffet with incredibly delicious cuisine (the cakes are incomparable) for the lowest possible budget for such a place. And what kind of people: silence and delight, dresses and heels, politeness and tolerance for each other. I recommend it!
A wonderful theater, modern and cozy. Preserved all the features of the original appearance. Wonderful and talented actors. The scenery is magical. You watch and get tremendous pleasure. Bravo to everyone who works in this theater. Only creative success!!!
Our history, culture) I was at the opera, everything is high-quality, beautiful and healthy) Only at the guard post on the first one there is pandemonium) I recommend it)
Very tasty pizza. The balance of dough and filling is what you need, fresh fragrant pesto, lots of prosciutto. Friendly waiters. The place is popular, I couldn't get in on Thursday evening without booking. I returned in the daytime and did not regret it.
I didn't have enough comfort, but it's such a concept, simple and open.
I boldly recommend it.
A monumental building, a beautiful auditorium, comfortable seats. The occupancy rate is 100 percent. Tours of various theaters . Unfortunately, it was not possible to see the artists of the local ballet and opera . I advise you to visit.

My favorite theater, I try to visit it as often as possible. The artists are amazing, the performances are great. I love this theatrical atmosphere. The only drawback is the prices of champagne and sandwiches, well, they are absolutely cosmic. And the prices for productions are always reasonable.
Ballet The Nutcracker. My son and parents liked it very much). Beautiful interior, friendly staff. Master Drosselmayer, an artist with a capital letter! A sea of charm! Masha is beautiful!!! All real professionals! The orchestra sounded amazing! Thank you for creating a festive mood!!!
an incredibly beautiful theater, an exquisite exterior and interior view. The music, the sound is above all praise. I recommend going on a weekend hike
The theater is beautiful. Starting from the hanger and ending with a gorgeous chandelier in the auditorium. I would also like to finalize the cafe-bar and it would be ideal.
It's an amazing place. I took an excursion with a group, went through workshops, visited ballet rehearsals, an interesting story, an atmosphere of creativity and rigor. I recommend both ballet and it's worth going on an excursion :)
Pleasant, caring and courteous staff. The theater is clean and tidy, the atmosphere is for an amateur, but the hall is good, everything is fine with acoustics. But there is no sound reinforcement, sometimes it seemed that it would be better with it. The title line is poorly positioned — at the bottom of the stage, sitting in the stalls, you have to look over the heads of those sitting in front. It would be much more convenient from above. We were at the Carmen Opera. Classical production, no fault to find, orchestra and high-level performers
A large monumental building that commands respect, everything is very beautiful, clean and Bright. I haven't had time to visit the theater yet, but I definitely want to visit. Only a positive impression.
An excellent theater with a classical repertoire.I've been to three ballet productions + a New Year's concert! The theater has created a fabulous New Year's atmosphere, very beautiful! If you want a New Year's tale, go to the Minsk Opera and Ballet Theater. The artists are real professionals. Thanks ! To the Theater of prosperity and grateful viewers

A lot corresponds to the title of Big:
- the scale
- architectural solutions
- hall, stage and interior decoration, light, sound and so on...
- repertoire
- location in the center of the capital
They don 't make it:
- the level of the company as a whole (ballet is slightly better)
- lack of stars
I prefer to go to visiting productions from St. Petersburg, Moscow, Novosibirsk - the difference in class is immediately visible. It is necessary to send local artists to study and practice in other theaters for creative growth, so that they do not "turn sour".
