When I booked the hotel, I looked at the previous reviews and judging by them, I expected something not very good, so-so. And when I arrived, I saw that people were writing lies. The hotel is very cozy and clean. I took a single room. The service was excellent, the staff was polite, responsive; the breakfasts were rich and delicious;
The location is very convenient, within walking distance of everything I planned to visit in Istanbul. I took off one star only for the fact that the smell of cigarettes was sometimes present, but not cretically. Next time, just this way.
I definitely recommend the hotel.
An economical accommodation option in Istanbul, very small rooms and sometimes without windows.
Pros - the location is perfect, the breakfasts and the restaurant where they take place are excellent for a 3-star hotel*
The reception guys are responsive. I recommend
Very dubious impressions about this hotel! Of the advantages: in principle, a good location, the street is quiet without passing, next to public transport stops, next to different shops, they cleaned every day and that's probably all!
We arrived on December 31, instead of the planned 2-3 days, by 8 pm, because of the flight delay, we were very tired. The reception was quickly checked in. My family booked a triple room, and additionally requested a cot. We were provided with room 1A: a 6-bed room with an additional room with low ceilings, old, stinks, water flowed from the sink pipe to the floor in the toilet, i.e. after washing our hands a couple of times, 2 towels were used to remove all the water from the Floor. I asked to move to a triple room, as I had booked! They said that there are no such numbers at the moment, is it strange? Yes? And then how did we book an island on the website?they gave another room 205 on the floor above, it was already a five-bed room! But the benefit is a little better than the previous one, everything worked in the toilet, one window looked out on neighboring hotels, the other was even covered with blinds, it went into some kind of mine, but also stank of old age, I had to open the window every morning before leaving to ventilate. So we stayed in this room, a day later, after returning in the evening from a walk, the guy at the reception informed us that we were! Without warning, without our knowledge! We were moved to another room, which we booked on the triple room website! And they moved our things to a new room on their own! Allegedly, his partner should have informed us in the morning, who accordingly did not say anything! To say that we were surprised is to say nothing! Fortunately, the maids moved all the things, they did not forget anything, the room turned out to be a little better, on the fifth floor, although it did not stink and the view was on the courtyard of the neighboring building opposite! As everyone wrote above, there are problems with the main light, basically only side lamps and there is another additional lamp, a drain button in the toilet, if you do not put it in its original state forcibly, then water will flow all the time in the toilet. The fact that major repairs are required is yes, many wrote above, everything seems to be fine in the photo, but in fact, everything is old! The breakfasts are very meager, I know that in such hotels they feed about everywhere, but the usual breadcrumbs fried dough, I met for the first time, the children had nothing to eat, they ate milk balls every day, the cooks did not have time to cook, they had to constantly wait for egg dishes, sausage of the same type, there were not even sausages! It looks like a lot of things, but one jam of different types! This is not the first time we have been in Istanbul, and more often we stayed in hotels behind Sultanahmet Square, but this year they raised the price tag for New Year's Eve and holidays very much, of course, we wanted to save money and so we found an option a little cheaper ((( of course, we were disappointed that the New Year's mood deteriorated due to such inconveniences. I do not recommend the hotel and we probably will not return! It's a pity that we booked a few days in advance and had to make a full prepayment, and it was New Year's Eve, so, of course, we would have moved out right away without thinking.
Great hotel. I really liked the room, cozy, clean. Polite staff, attentive service. Hearty breakfasts with a good selection of dishes. Excellent location in the center of the old town. Within walking distance of the main attractions, tram stop, marina. We will definitely come to Istanbul and stay at this hotel. I recommend it!
Everything is beautiful in the picture, but the reality of the repair has not been for ten years.
The staff is very friendly.
The receptionist is great, trying to please the visitors.
Great hotel. Small and cozy. Clean. "Warm" in terms of atmosphere, a small and cozy hotel was made in the old building. We were settled by Magomed, a great guy. Speaks Russian, is friendly, responsive, polite and courteous. The rooms in the hotel are not large but very comfortable. The breakfast is good and delicious. The service is at a good level. Everything is clean. The location of the hotel is perfect. It seems to be at the same distance from all the main attractions. And on the parallel street there are shops where you can buy groceries and alcohol. Anyway, next time to this hotel.
The hotel itself is ordinary, but the location is super. For those who came to see the sights, I recommend it. The staff is also very sincere and caring. They respond to any requests and help in everything. At breakfast, a Russian-speaking woman (I forgot her name) God bless you! I am very grateful for the hospitality.
Great hotel, good location. There are many shops, cafes nearby, the main attractions are within walking distance. The rooms are quite spacious and clean.
I liked the breakfast, basically everything that needs to be eaten.
There is a cafe on the roof, which is quite good, but because of the panoramic view, prices are higher than in the area.
The staff is very friendly and knows English well.
There is air heating, but it only works when there is a card in the room.
There is even a small swimming pool, but the hammam does not work.
We chose a place for lunch according to reviews, completely by chance, and we were not mistaken, I have not tasted such a delicious fish for a long time. On the menu it's fish and chips, a huge portion, you can safely take it for two, I didn't really like the potatoes, I like them crispy, but the fish is amazing, a minimum of breadcrumbs and butter, maximum juiciness. Also, for the sake of interest, we ordered a jug, for the sake of serving, the serving is really spectacular, and the stewed chicken with vegetables was not particularly surprised, since it looks very much like a native stew with chicken. Rice and shawarma were also delicious. As a compliment, they brought small snacks before the main serving, olive paste, cottage cheese, tortillas. After the main dishes, the treat from the restaurant is tea and baklava. I recommend it, the price is much lower than the quality, very tasty!
The hotel is located in the center of Fatiha, next to the embankment, all the sights are at hand (Grand Bazaar, al Sofia, Galata, etc.) we have been vacationing for 5 years in a row in February, on our own. Special thanks to the manager Sibel (Russian speakers) for all questions, she will always give the right hint. I recommend
Istanbul is a very beautiful and authentic city, with its own history and eternity...The meeting with him takes place already at the moment of searching for tickets and booking a place of residence...Closer to the historical heart of Istanbul, where the bazaar life boils and you can walk until the morning, enjoying the air of the Bosphorus...Well, sleep for up to 10 hours so that it is warm and cozy.....and quietly....We came to Istanbul in January for a few days and stayed at the Viva Deluxe Hotel...and my wife and I are picky in terms of choice...and when Magomed meets you at the reception, who speaks Russian and becomes a guide in your world of impressions and emotions during your stay, travel and farewell to Istanbul, those guys in the restaurant who are ready to make your exquisite whim come true, that atmosphere and comfort reigning in this hotel, all this becomes a part of Your journey, your dreams, your hope to come back here again...

An inexpensive hotel, in the city center, near all transport, attractions, shops, everything is within walking distance, the rooms themselves are small, cozy, clean, the hotel has breakfast, the hotel is completely worth the money.
A great restaurant! There are really big portions here and they give dishes as a gift. There was live music and a super serve! compared to other establishments, it is very clean. Special thanks to the man at the entrance, the translator with knowledge of Russian, and the prices - for two people there is really a lot to eat for 120-150 lira. Thank you very much!! 👍🏻
A disgusting hotel, there are bedbugs and cockroaches, after 3 days of stay they found bite marks, looked closely and bedbugs are running around the bed and the headboard is all in maggots, the hotel is very dirty and smelly, now I'm afraid to bring them home in a suitcase, I think that even after us they will rent this room to others without disinfection, because the staff The hotel didn't care what was going on with them and they weren't even going to apologize. It's my 4th time in Istanbul, but this is my first time, so I'm writing a review to warn those who want to book this hotel.
We lived from March 15th to 20th. Excellent location, all the sights are within walking distance. Excellent breakfasts, I think the best of all the hotels I've been to (we travel with our family very often around the world). Room cleaning, excellent. Towels were changed every day. There is a kettle in the room, disposable tea bags, coffee, sugar, shower accessories.slippers, mini fridge, three Russian-language channels on TV. Of the disadvantages.1. The size of the room does not correspond to the information stated in the Booking, it is smaller. 2. Low room lighting. There are not enough "hooks" in the shower. But it doesn't matter. All these little things are nonsense. The most important thing is the staff. The receptionist of the Sibel hotel, it's SUPER!!!. The girl comes to the rescue and solves the problem instantly. Always in touch, helped with all the problems. Thank you so much to her! I recommend it to everyone. This is the fourth time in Istanbul. On the next trip to Istanbul, God forbid to survive the coronavirus, we will arrive only at this hotel. Thanks to all the hotel staff!!!
Nice small triple rooms with three identical beds. Good administrators who try to help. The cleaning is the usual Turkish. The restaurant at the hotel is excellent and inexpensive, I highly recommend grilled dishes.
Hello!I want to tell you about my vacation at this hotel. We chose this hotel based on reviews, but unfortunately they do not correspond to the truth. The hotel has very small rooms, the painting of the walls is very shabby, the plumbing is of disgusting quality,it rests on a swinging nail, there are no hooks in the bathroom, there is absolutely nowhere to put clothes, it is very uncomfortable, there is a drip locker in the room, which will fit only 1 person's belongings! There are no hooks or hangers for outerwear at the entrance. The lighting is very low, it is impossible to read the book, it is too dark! It's very noisy! There is a cafe downstairs, screams and music until 5 am!We didn't sleep very well because of this. The breakfasts are very meager and monotonous! There is no porridge at all!!!!!!The only 2 advantages of this place are: friendly staff, location.
Absolutely honestly - the best place that is around! Although there are no reviews here at all (I went in at random). We've had it done:
1) a gift of additional dishes and dessert,
2) the whole show with the feed: I was stunned by the way they knocked off the tops of the clay jug with a knife, and then lit sparklers. For the first time, I didn't regret tipping at all =)
3) it was delicious and most importantly (!) - clean! After all, many people sin with unclean kitchens here, but it's really normal here.
4) it is noticeably cheaper here than in other places with the same menu.
5) Price-top quality!
6) there is a good interior inside
Hello! Do not book in any case! The horror! Smoke, stink and fire! An old and smelly house in the historical part of Istanbul!!! Cockroaches run around brazenly, bedbugs bite, how does Booking allow such shit on the site?!?!? It is better to be more expensive, but under normal conditions!!! There are a lot of hotels in Istanbul!!!
Stayed with 19-31/01/22
Booked directly at the hotel
Among the advantages: a good breakfast; location
That's it! That's where the advantages ended!
- the rooms are old, the window did not close
- the toilet flowed to the floor
- there is a moth flying in the room
- the heating battery is leaking
- the room is very dark
- room cleaning is terrible (see photos after cleaning!!!)
- they insisted on full prepayment and in cash (we paid with a card, and we were very sorry that we could not move out due to the delay in returning the money, even with a fine).
I do not recommend a hotel!!!!!
Disgusting
We had a vacation in Istanbul in August, stayed at the Viva de Lux hotel/ the staff is friendly and attentive, Thank you for being there! We will definitely come to you again! Sibel, you are the best admin!
Excellent service, everyone is polite enough, but certainly not without the cunning of the nation. On vacation, of course, people relax and lose, let's say, vigilance.
there is actually nothing to talk about, I was there for three full days, there is a decent breakfast. the rooms are small, the prices for them are large disposable paper tea glasses in the room! I was shocked by this.
I didn't live in this hotel, but I really liked the restaurant downstairs, everything is delicious! The prices are about the same as everywhere else in the area
The best staff - solved all problems and questions instantly! There are many questions about the hotel itself: terrible audibility, "cosmetic" repairs, electrics work strangely, ants on soap in the bathroom, etc.
The rooms are old, of course, but the convenient location in the historical center compensates for all the disadvantages. The breakfasts are good. The staff is Russian-speaking or understands Russian.
The room is disgusting, the air conditioner cannot be adjusted, it is either suffocating or very cold, the shower is in a deplorable state, there are only eggs for breakfast
