We had lunch here several times. Delicious! Like Mom's :) the portions are not very large, but they are cooked very well, the boats are the most delicious in all of Mount Athos, the prices are average, a tip of 10 percent is included in the receipt. Store-bought frozen and brewed khinkali, diluted, bitter beer. Lemonade from the nearest store, ice has just been added. Small portions and with a claim to the original presentation. But the bill is for 4t rubles and they did not forget to make a service there, which consists of bringing dishes with food / removing dirty dishes from the table -😂

On October 9, we tried to have lunch on the new veranda.
1. The waitress didn't pay any attention to us. After 15 minutes, she remarked in a friendly way, they say, "you would have sat further away, I thought you just came like that, but I have a lot of work, why didn't you take the menu."
2. The waitress forgot to bring part of the order. I didn't apologize after the reminder, I just ran away.
3. There was raw meat in the pasties, which did not even have time to defrost during cooking. After the remark, I was offered to cook them again, and after 15 minutes, without apologies, they said they could not do it and simply would not be included in the bill.
4. But tips are included in the bill here by default. On my motivated refusal to pay tips for the disgusting service, the waitress threw a tantrum and began to be rude. She literally offered to take us to the dining room around the corner, snide and voiced ridiculous excuses. In the end, she literally snatched the money out of her hands and ran away.
Bottom line: we were left hungry, our mood was spoiled for the whole day, I risked poisoning myself.
Don't get fooled by the good design of this "cafe". In relation to customers, this is the level of a collective farm canteen. It's a pity, because before that we were in the old room twice and everything was good and delicious. However, because of such waiters, not a foot more!

We had a rest in Abkhazia in March, visited this cafe more than once. We went to lunch for the first time at the insistence of the child. Once "like mom's", it means it's delicious))) We read literally, we believe, we boldly go in and try. Khinkali, soups, khachapuri boat, shish kebab, dumplings went with a bang! We noticed that while we and other visitors were waiting for orders (the waiting time was standard, even served quickly), there was a buzz of conversations. But as soon as the food was brought, silence was established in the room)) no one wanted to be distracted from eating. After that, the peaceful, well-fed, satisfied guests went about their business.

I take off 2 stars, namely: for the disrespect of the waiters to the visitors of the cafe, what can you do, the restaurant service is in a deplorable state, work and work! To greet guests without a smile and very reluctantly, of course, I am in wild shock. The bill has to wait really, really long, as many people write here - this is a fact. We've eaten here a couple of times.
On the first day, it was 30.07.2023, when we got to New Athos, we lived just with the hostess of this cafe (it was advertised to us) and decided to stay for lunch. The food is delicious, but not all, the dishes are beautifully served - thanks to the chefs, it was very pleasing, and the dishes are also beautiful.
We took okroshka on kvass, eggplant rolls, meat in Abkhazian, khachapuri boat with egg, chicken chop (I didn't like it disgustingly dry). Khachapuri, of course, is insanely delicious! Drinks include non-alcoholic mojito, Sukhumi beer, and milkshake.
In addition, I want to say that we went to take khachapuri with an egg boat home with us in the evening, and what was our surprise - such a place, with such a design approach, with such expensive-looking dishes - put khachapuri for us just in a plastic bag!!!😳 not in a container, but just in a package!
We also had dinner here on August 09, took dolma and white wine, I don't know what exactly, but after 2-3 hours it became bad and there was severe poisoning, with a consequence under a drip in the hospital (this is not surprising if electricity is turned off in the city and throughout Abkhazia).
So dear visitors, carefully choose both dishes and places!
