We were here two years ago and now. I am very glad that we have done a lot during this time. We have arranged beautiful alleys, flower beds, and various areas. But at the same time, there are still areas of almost wild forest with trails and thickets in the garden, it is very pleasant, you can feel yourself in nature without leaving the city. When the rest of the repairs are finished, it will be even better. A very nice, quiet place, we often go there.
Pros: there are secluded places where you can relax from people, as well as the opportunity to get some fresh air, a couple of friendly guards. That's where the advantages end.
Cons: since Soviet times, landscaping has not been carried out in any way, at the moment something is being done in one place, but at the same time asphalt paths have been dug up in half of the park - that is, there are no comfortable conditions for the same running activity. Moreover, there is a pack of untyped stray dogs walking in the park (I personally saw one feeding among them), which bark and sometimes rush at people (if you are not lucky with a passing guard or a shocker lying in your pocket). There are no toilets and no lighting. The park is full of holes in the fence, as well as situations when crowds of locals walk along one map and do not touch them, but if there is a relocation, then of course he is a programmer and it is necessary to check the card with his companion. The question is, what is there to pay money for, for a piece of semi-wild forest, half of the dug-up paths and dangerous dogs??
I'm changing the review from 5 to one star. Construction is underway on the territory from the word everywhere. You will not be able to walk with your child there, there is also no playground anymore. Construction continues for a year in a sluggish mode. Of course, no one warns about this at the entrance, and they make round eyes when you refer to it. As a result, from the entrance through a beautiful arch, you will not really go further with a child. This is a blatant disrespect for people and visitors. There is an announcement that reconstruction is underway. In my opinion, this is money laundering, this is not how repairs are carried out, where the track has simply been in a state of an anti-tank trench for more than a year. I highly recommend not going there now.
A large area and a lot of plants.
Admission for children is 200rubles, and for adults 500 rubles (cards are accepted). Admission is until 19 o'clock.
Entrance to the main greenhouse is also paid, at 200 and 300 rubles per child and adult.
There are carp and some other fish in the main greenhouse.
There are squirrels, snails and even turtles in the park (forest).
It's a very sad sight, reminiscent of footage from a disaster movie. The garden has been completely dug up, and construction work is currently underway there. There is a lot of dust, building materials, part of the park is fenced. There is absolutely nothing to look at, the local buildings look depressing. You can see squirrels living in the garden. In general, in fairness, we could make the entrance free while the reconstruction is underway, since now it is impossible to even hide from the hustle and noise in the garden. As for sports, I think we'll have to do without jogging for now, since all the tracks are being redone and pebbles are scattered all around.
The botanical garden is super. Reconstruction is underway in 2024, it is already clear how good it will be when the work is finished. It's good to just wander here at any time of the year, sit, read a book, there is a gorgeous lilac garden here (find;-) he is hiding near the entrance), by all means go into the greenhouse, not into a large, destroyed one, but into the "house" opposite the Botanical Institute. Well, grab some unroasted nuts for squirrels, there are plenty of them here
I put 4 only because the repair is not finished and will be only by 2027. And so, it's clean, there are a lot of benches , there are squirrels , in the city. Both in winter and in summer, lovers of walking in the forest will be pleased
A great quiet place for relaxation, meditative jogging and cycling. Passage through the main gate is paid - 500 AMD, but there are many open entrances from the other side of the garden.
The park itself is mostly in disrepair, but for some it may be a plus.
Inside there is a greenhouse with plots divided into natural zones and an unrealistically overgrown central dome with vines
Everything is great, but, however, I never managed to get to the Museum, although I was in the garden twice. The greenhouse deserves special praise! Everything is well done! The garden itself is in the process of landscaping at the moment. I hope it will be possible to put 5 points soon!!
A quiet and cozy place for people who want to escape from the hustle and bustle of the city for a short period of time. A large-scale space for walking, playing with children and playing sports, especially jogging. The garden is clean, although it is not equipped with modern infrastructure, while it manages to leave a very pleasant impression. I recommend getting a subscription if you plan frequent visits - it's more profitable.
In principle, it is a good place to walk (with children too). You can also ride a scooter/bike or go jogging. They are gradually repairing, improving, and coming up with something new. A good place to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the city.
By and large, it is half-abandoned, but it is pleasant to wander in the heat there - a lot of old trees, squirrels, small foxes, hoopoes, even owls. There are snakes, but they are not dangerous. At 23m, they started a big renovation, they say for three years
The park is under reconstruction. Completely.
There's nothing to watch yet.
The existing thickets are not yet well maintained.
The paths are earthen, there will obviously be impassable mud in the rain.
The main track is prepared for asphalt, but asphalt is not laid.
The plates under some plants are mixed up.
It leaves the impression of an old, unkempt park.
This event is definitely not worth the entrance ticket.
A good park for a family walk.
We met a lot of workers on the main roads where there is asphalt, always clean and tidy.
We like to go there in the summer, the heat is not felt.
Recommend 👍
Here is a good place, in the USSR it was probably just super, but!recently, it has fallen into disrepair, recently everything was dug up there and it became impossible to walk with a stroller, it is clear that everything is temporary and landscaping is such a thing, but they have a lot of work to do, the nature there is super, but the buildings and roads leave much to be desired
A great place to relax. Ancient trees. Beauty. Clean air, beautiful birdsong. It is possible with children. Do physical education. In the center of the botanical garden stands the N.I.I. building.
It is in great need of repair and landscaping. And they have already started to do something, they have dug up everything and, it seems, abandoned it until better times, probably. But a park is a park, and it's great that it exists at all.

One of the lovely paradisiacal corners of Yerevan. There are many varieties of trees and shrubs. Everything is well maintained, clean and very beautiful. Squirrels are running around the territory, there are many bright colors. A great place to relax.
A beautiful and peaceful place that clearly lacks care and investment. We had a good walk, but there is no desire to return. I would like to mention the staircase in the greenhouse separately:) It looks very interesting and it was cool to climb it
The park is closed for reconstruction, but tickets are freely sold, as a result, you walk around the construction site. There are no significant plants in the park itself. Is the symbol of Armenia a pomegranate? No, you will not see how it grows, these trees are not here. Only oaks, hawthorn and linden.
Everything is dug up, there is nothing to look at, except for the former luxury. The large walking trails are gouged to an impossible state. For entering with a camera, the guards demand 5,000 "for professional photography."

There are many complaints in the reviews that the condition is poor, the entrance is paid, there is no entertainment and so on. Apparently it is not clear to people that the Botanical Garden is primarily a training ground for students who study botany and everything related to it, and not a recreation park. This is a park for doing science, and not so that you can take your children somewhere and ride a bike, for this you need to go to other locations.
Regarding the condition, such places are rarely rich and the general desolation is expected, because, again, this is not a commercial enterprise. And, nevertheless, it is clear that some changes have begun this year, they are making tracks, lighting, etc. They are doing it slowly, I think, because, again, rarely do such places have a lot of money to do it quickly.
There doesn't seem to be a public toilet (or I didn't find one), but it's under construction.
A lovely greenhouse has been preserved and is still functioning on the territory.
Otherwise for the uninformed average person (like me) It's just not the most well-maintained forest park. But for a person who knows botany, there are many interesting things here.
I liked it, there are a lot of trees and plants of different species, birds are flying, squirrels are flying. It's a bit noisy, though, because the garden is surrounded by busy roads on all sides.
We were in the park in early December. The garden and park were impressed by the variety of trees: many different types of acacias, oaks, poplars, juniper, plane trees and ginkgo. Almost a whole day of walking, well, taking into account the short cell day, and no fatigue, time flies imperceptibly.
Absolutely inadequate attitude of the administration. My wife and I came to ride rented bicycles (Mimo company) and we were forbidden to enter with them. The guard immediately began to raise his voice and be rude. He said that it is impossible to rent bicycles on their territory, only on their own. Moreover, even in winter, these bicycles were on the territory itself.
Also, now half of the park is under construction, and the ticket price is the same as always, and no one warns at the entrance. The toilet on the territory was also demolished and is being built anew, respectively, on the territory to walk only in the bushes?
In general, the condition of the park is very deplorable, there are many broken paths, few interesting plants, and many abandoned buildings.
Also keep in mind that if you forgot something in the car, then after leaving the park you will not be allowed to go back, only to buy a new ticket

Construction works are taking place in the garden. It was not possible to complete all the routes. But hopefully it will improve the view of the garden. I walked along the tourist route. In general, it is not a pity for the time spent. I took a taxi from the city center. There is no cafe with drinks in the park. I regretted that I did not take water with me. There were practically no people. It was possible to take a quiet walk. The entrance costs about 118 rubles (in terms of AMD).
There are places to walk, many beautiful places, paths are being repaired, everything is very neat, different flowers and trees, squirrels and lizards are running)
In short, horror
The entrance is 500 drams + an Eco-room of 300 drams
for 800 drams, it is better to hire a welder and watch the welding for 5 minutes without stopping, get about the same positive charge as in the case of visiting this place
One of the saddest places in Yerevan. Everything is rummaged through, there is nothing really to look at. There is a greenhouse on site, but admission is at an additional cost.
Disappointment! The territory is in an ugly state. I do not take into account the widespread reconstruction. Windfall and deadwood are everywhere, the paths have not been removed.
The eco-epicenter, opened in 2021, looks like it has already survived the apocalypse. Entrance is paid, the plants are poor (but in such a climate many tropical specimens could grow) the territory is dirty, poor koi carp and goldfish live in muddy dirty water, the waterfall does not work, many bowls are not filled with water.
It does not stand up to any comparison with any previously seen botanical garden.
I definitely recommend the place to visit in Yerevan. It's beautiful, fresh and there's a lot to see. Quite a lot of things are already in decline here, but it's still a great place to walk.
Probably one of the most neglected botanical gardens I've ever visited in my life.
The territory is half-empty, unkempt.
Obviously, the entrance fee goes exclusively into the pockets of the owners.
Nothing is improved, nothing is done, as soon as you find a sign with the name of the plant. But there are cameras all over the park, do you know what for?
So that people don't take pictures with a professional camera.
This is the first time I've seen this disgrace, and hopefully the last.
A ticket costs 500 AMD at the entrance. But if you want to take photos with your camera, get ready to pay 10 times more! I'm not kidding, such a ticket costs 5,000 drams. And for what? For the fact that half of the windows are missing in the greenhouse and everything is neglected and with green water? This is a disgrace, not a botanical garden. They took pictures on the phone, and that was because everything was running - there was not much to photograph.
If you ask for such money, then invest it in the park!
There are even redwoods. There is also an eco-center, with a small amount of entertainment and an indoor greenhouse. Inside there is a spiral staircase that you can climb up and look at the greenhouse from above.
Several employees told us not to go into the tall grass, there may be snakes there. Also, do not climb alpine slides for the same reason.

A large park. There are benches, drinking fountains, playgrounds, flower beds. You can take a good walk along the shady alleys. I saw several squirrels, magpies, thrushes. Of the cons, you can hear the road. The tracks are being repaired, and in some places it is unpleasant to look at the dug-up road. Admission is 500 dr per person.
