I had the opportunity to be in this monastery - it is picturesque , well - groomed .friendly . The bell tower is new, which is not usually ground-based , it is real in the project and God forbid we will see it in its beauty and GREATNESS. Great luck. With the blessing of the rector , he invited the parishioners to the evening service with the ringing of bells . the bells are just one surprise - the ringing bells, the ringing bells especially surprised BLAGOVEST with their BASS!
For the second year we have been coming here on the way to the Grodno region, every time you experience amazing sensations. This time we also got to the bell ringing - just super!!!
Hello, I really liked this place, I stayed there all day for 6 hours. I advise everyone. To come to this spiritual place of Zhirovichi. Cathedral Street, 57.
The ancient monastery is located in the center of the village, and a rather interesting bell tower is located separately. The monastery itself is small, bright, sincere, I recommend visiting.
Zhirovichi has changed a lot for the better. We were there in the 18th year - it was clearly a neglected, aging town, causing only pity. And now the city has made the impression of recovering from an illness, gaining new strength. And all thanks to the monastery! It turns into a kind of our Lavra and makes the city very significant! The facade is currently under restoration, but services are underway. The territory is full of flowers, new shops and refectories have appeared. The temple itself is worth seeing and feeling - there is some ancient grace and rigor in it. The square in front of the temple has been improved, a park has appeared, a small but cozy pond with cheerful frogs and clean streets. There are also disadvantages - the prices in the monastery are clearly not divine, they do not bite, but simply "devour" the wallet! You should be more modest! Although the monks have new expensive robes decorated with pleating made of expensive fabric... Even atheists should definitely visit the monastery - it's worth it!
When visiting, I recommend taking a guide (a student of the seminary), because during self-examination, the area for visiting is very limited. The tour lasts about 40 minutes, if the group is small, it costs 20 rubles plus a tip to the guide, the two of us gave 20 rubles. On the territory you can buy souvenirs, icons, and collect water. Not far from the monastery, about 1.5 kilometers away, there is an opportunity to plunge into the font (there is a sign "holy spring"), the water is very cold even in summer.
We visited the monastery this summer, there is something to say, firstly, the road to the monastery was smooth, the beauty was all around, the village itself was clean and well-groomed, entering the territory of the monastery one feels such peace, plunged into the font, came out, such lightness, this is a holy place that one wants to visit more than once!
It's just some kind of fairy tale, but it's strange that you can't take and put a lighted candle, only the extinguished one will allegedly be set on fire later in the service. The bell ringers are top-notch, the guy still called and answered questions💪
Sorry for the review, but... The temple is under reconstruction, the roar is wild, the icon is under restoration, alas, but it is understandable. Can't you put candles on yourself?! Just pay in icon shops, the same with the requirements. Further in the courtyard there is also an entrance to the temple and a huge bell and ... a sign "entrance only with a guide", wow!!! I came to pray to God, to worship the Virgin, and not on an excursion to the museum. Having bought balms and herbs (there is a large selection), we left the refectory with disappointment. The courtyard inside looks more like a market, full of shops and stalls. I want to light a candle myself, to pray for my loved ones, not hoping that someone will forget to pass or put candles on. Why do I need a tour guide? In general, the holy place was turned into a profitable one. They told me about it, but I didn't believe it. Alas, there are no impressions... and the photo too.
