God forbid to get into this airport again! And it was lucky for us that we spent the night in a hotel 2 minutes away by bus. We arrived much in advance and for good reason! The whole problem is that at passport control, ATTENTION! There were 2 people sitting, and one of them was an intern! Although there was a separate corridor without a queue for EU citizens..feel the difference in attitude towards people and varieties of people!
As a result, a queue accumulated, without exaggeration, for 400- 500 meters and they did not stand strictly behind each other. The queue was like a queue at a mausoleum.
It's come to a scandal!
Our plane was delayed for 1.5 hours, but I think we were lucky.
In short, our airports are just an example of the quality of service!

Very comfortable staff service. Quickly, kindly. The building itself does not make an impression. There are many modules with the letter designation of the terminal entrances. Some kind of trade is slightly marked inside, well, very unobtrusively, including the presence of a cafe. You can also drink coffee, but mostly hearty and high-calorie fried snacks. The passage to the boarding gate is not very close, there are no travelators. Passport control for EU citizens and all other citizens is very different in different places. It is inconvenient and again you need to go and look for where. There are also different counters at the boarding gate - you wait near one, and when you guess where the other is, where the exit itself comes from, and you find it, then you will calmly and with a very friendly attitude of the airport staff you will get on the plane. If it weren't for these quests, it would be a completely normal airport. Strictly, functionally, impeccably clean, but you won't relax with coffee or strolling in the duty free zone. Sheremetyevo is more comfortable, but the staff is not very comfortable.

There will be long queues at passport control if you arrive by some kind of Aeroflot or S7. Two or three windows work, while one or two are always for EU citizens, and other citizens stand in the only remaining window until the entire EU has passed. Therefore, plan an hour or two of time for passport control at once. You may be lucky and you will pass in 30 minutes, but this is not accurate.
On departure, plan again for at least an hour for security screening and passport control, where one or two windows will also work.
You don't have to read all this if you're flying Lufthansa. For their "friends", everything is very fast and on the level.

If you arrive at the airport in advance, the time will fly by unnoticed. Among the negative aspects, I faced queues for registration twice. Moreover, only two of the 8 check-in counters were working, people were late for flights, standing in huge queues, but no one cared. It was very strange to encounter this in Germany, but judging by the fact that it happened more than once, it does not seem to be an accident. Arrive at the airport in advance.
