I liked this airport. Everything is intuitive. There are rest areas for passengers, places to charge gadgets. The prices in the shops are out, but this is at any airport in the world, I think.
A large airport. The navigation system inside is not very convenient, as in most airports of this size. At a minimum, you need to walk a lot, including with luggage. I was pleased with the tax refund system, it is well thought out, faster than at other airports.
A very good cafe in the departure area of international flights: high-quality and delicious, prices are almost like in the city.
There are enough shops, and the waiting rooms are comfortable.
A very convenient airport, you can leave it directly to the city by train (on the lower floor of the airport station), a bunch of rentals right in the building, a pharmacy, shops, a large good airport with free fast wi-fi
The airport is very large and thoughtful, but the queue for registration is served by one person as a result, they stood in line for more than an hour, then passport control for the same amount. Even the flight was delayed a bit. In general, I have never seen such a bad job anywhere.
A convenient and well-designed transport hub both as a transfer hub and as the final destination. A large number of rental companies. Fast and free Wi-Fi. The disadvantage is that you need to schedule time for passport control.
We liked that the airport is very conveniently accessible by public transport. We got a little confused with the terminals, but one of the employees gave us the right direction. The waiting room in the so-called storage deserves special mention - there is no point in describing it, you need to visit!
I really like this airport! Everything is conveniently and thoughtfully located, you can figure out where to go, even without knowing German, adequate customs officers (which, you will agree, is not unimportant), many different cafes for every taste.
Well, so-so airport, no duty free at all)))
Purely of course, but more than modestly.
But the business hall is very decent. Comfortable, good food and drinks.
A huge airport. You have to take a mini-train to some departure zones. The registration system is automated. The departure halls are large and comfortable. The main thing to understand is that the path to the ladder can be really long. Don't be late.
In general, it is a good airport. But there are a lot of pedestrian crossings in transit. Everything is hung with televisions with advertisements, and finding a scoreboard with departures and gates is a problem! Information about the gates appears 1 hour before departure. So you have to listen and understand the messages and run in the right direction down the long hall. Strange...We are already much better in terms of information.
A huge airport, there are even smoking areas inside, air conditioning throughout the airport.

A regular hub. The VIP lounge was not impressed: it is small, it resembles a simple cafe. I advise you not to plan a long stay here. It's a bit boring after Moscow airports.
I put one star first.
Upon arrival, passport control took place for an hour and forty, as two windows with half-dead policemen worked, while EU citizens passed through four turnstiles, and it took a little more time than a subway passage. Well, two younger people came to the aid of the half-dead, and we passed through passport control. But the joy did not last long, because it turned out that part of the luggage (including, of course, ours :) She didn't arrive. Here I add a second star in the review, because the luggage was brought to us the next day at the hotel, located 200 km from Austria, at two o'clock, and we even managed to go skiing. It is clear that we were no longer surprised by the delay in the departure of two or three flights (including, of course, ours:) due to the pandemonium again arranged by the policemen at passport control.
PS. An ode to Aeroflot. After returning to Russia, for the sake of interest, we looked at the Aeroflot website, the search for our luggage was "luggage not found"...
The Germans - and that says it all. A scoreboard at every turn with English dubbing, friendly staff, fast baggage collection and a security area. It's sterile, like in an operating room, and unlike Frankfurt Airport, there's not a single homeless person.
It all started with passport control, two planes and four border guards at the same time. At the beginning, a detailed survey of everyone: who, where, why... and at the end... just stamp your passport and welcome to Germany. All about everything for a little over an hour in a small, not adapted to waiting room, well, we were in no hurry and eventually the luggage was waiting for us, not us.
The airport is large, navigation is four-way. Car rental is well organized, all companies are in one place. The receipt and delivery of the car went perfectly, at least in my company, the second company was a little late with the issue.
Now about the flight.
Be prepared that when handing over a car, in the parking lot, luggage carts for money, prepare small change.
Local employees made a mess at the registration. Two flights to St. Petersburg left with an hour difference, so their numbers were mixed up on the counters. A lot of passengers, a lot of luggage, we still have a low-mobility companion.... in short, the mess is complete, but Aeroflot is doing well, but this is not about the airport.
For the third year in a row, there is a QUEUE for passport control for MORE THAN an HOUR on a flight from Munich to Moscow. Only 1 window worked for non-EU citizens and all flights cost 1 window. We arrived in advance, hoping to go shopping in the duty free zone, but we spent all the time in line ((( And we have been in this situation for the third year in a row.
It seems that this is the policy of the airport. It's interesting, because the ticket price probably includes the cost of passport control... It is not clear where to complain...
It is spacious, but there are few places to sit and rest. Cafes and duty free are available. I was flying an s7, you can't print a ticket in vending machines (but there is an Aeroflot), only at the counter, even though I registered in advance. S7 racks to the left of the passport control area B. By the way, the control itself is not in a hurry, so "lay down" an additional 20-30 minutes. Otherwise, there were no problems.
The airport building is huge. Everything is intuitive. One of the terminals, exits K and L, is connected by train. It is necessary to take this into account when planning time. And so it is convenient, clean, there is an observation deck on the airfield. It's a pity I couldn't get in, it didn't work. The city center is easily accessible by train S1 and S8. Most complain about the queue at passport control, but I was lucky. The only border guard bombarded with questions. And not just me, but almost everyone in the queue.
Everything is convenient, understandable, information on the speakerphone is given on time and, including, in Russian. There is not much choice in duty free. But sufficient. Compared to 2018, it has become more comfortable here both in terms of just being in the building and in terms of the attitude of the staff.
A small, normal airport. I had to run around to find my luggage. The lost oversized luggage (stroller) was delivered promptly, despite the holidays. If you plan to apply for a tax refund, come strongly in advance - there are long queues to check taxfree. There are airport strollers in the departure area. An aeroexpress train from the airport goes to the main train station, which is within easy reach of the main attractions of the city of little monks.
They come once a year and I enjoy its architecture and scale. Despite the fact that it is so huge, everything is clear even to a person without knowledge of English.
A convenient airport, there are many shops with high-quality goods at an affordable price, you can buy electronics with a good discount in the tax-free zone, many high-quality restaurants with human prices,
The airport is big. We flew with a transfer in Munich. Upon entering the airport from the plane, he took off everything that could ring. But they searched all the same and almost got into their underpants. there is a good beer in airbrau. But to do this, you need to go through passport control at the exit to Munich. Drink a beer without leaving the airport and go through passport control back to get on the connecting flight. I was allowed to pass quietly, but my wife was constantly pestered with questions and asked several times if we had money, tickets back. I understand when foreigners are not allowed into the country, but when they are not allowed out of it, suspecting that you do not have money ...(((
The airport is good. The problem is only with getting tax free. We never got it.:(but now I know that I have to get boarding passes first, and then run with a bunch of packages for the seal. And only after crossing the border can you get the money. It's very inconvenient, you get on a plane with a bunch of hand luggage:(((( this is the first time I've encountered such a system. Otherwise, the airport is like an airport :)))
I keep confusing the transfer exit with the main exit!!! Guys, you can get to the city by buying a ticket from a German! This is not a divorce - the ticket really works!!! Eh, Munich beer is cool
How can I advise here? Probably nothing.
But I feel very sorry for all those who have to stand for an hour or more with heavy bags, in winter in outerwear. Queues at passport control blur the whole impression of Munich's culture. There are old people, children, standing silently and for a long time. Apparently, this is such a tradition. And it must be tolerated.
Everything else is the same as everywhere else.
The new business lounge is nice, bright, spacious. 🌿
I visit this ae often, so I have experience, alas(. The airport is not adapted to a large flow of passengers with non-EU passports (with EU passports, the pass is quick just through the turnstiles), there are few cabins with officers, they work slowly and thoughtfully(. If a large queue gathers, they are persistently (practically ordered) directed to the terminal, where the queue is no less (. Arriving 3 hours before the flight, I was almost late a couple of times(. But Lufthansa terminal 2 is excellent - spacious, there are enough control booths, the passage of all procedures is very fast).
It is said that there are 2 terminals at Munich airport. One works well, and we flew away from the second one)) the work of employees to the nines shatters the stereotype of German practicality, punctuality and quality)) If we didn't know which country we were in, I would have thought that we were in a third world country and the airport was in a field, so people were working as best they could. Our Pulkovo works much better
The airport is convenient. Everything is fast and clear. The train goes very often directly to the airport. We passed by electronic boarding pass, without luggage, without any delay at all, immediately on boarding. Quick and easy. Everything is very convenient.
In German, everything is pedantic, clear, organized. It is very likely that you can hear Russian speech from employees, which is very pleasant. Despite the fact that the airport is small, it does not seem cramped or uncomfortable.
The airport is large and modern. It is convenient and easy to get to the city center. Two trains S1 and S8. The cost is 11.6 € and 13€. Drive 40/46 minutes. Except for buses and taxis.
Planes take off every 3 minutes from one lane.
The airport itself is comfortable. There is wi-fi, a cafe, a toilet. It is easy to find a train to the center of Munich. The police are very attentive to the documents at the border control: it is necessary to prepare a plane reservation for the return trip, insurance and hotel payment.
The best airport I have ever visited: a unique transfer service, always clean toilet, pleasant halls, friendly staff. In general, full compliance with the 5-star airport.
A wonderful airport with clear navigation, there is a brewery at the airport (prices are lower than in Munich itself), a supermarket with regular prices, a well-equipped smoking area. The choice in the duty free zone is generally the usual one.
Amazingly clean and very beautiful. It has everything you need - from comfortable recreation areas, to cafes and restaurants, shops and retail shops. The communication between the buildings and inside the room itself is well thought out.
