A great hotel. There are no luxury rooms for overprice, but who needs what. I found what I was looking for. Firstly, the location: the center of Minsk, 5 minutes walk from the Akademich Nauk metro station. Secondly, small prices. Thirdly, there is a cafe with room service, but it was not possible to look into the cafe - I ate in the city. Fourth, cozy rooms and pleasant renovation. Fifthly, there is a Botanical garden opposite - fresh air and a pleasant view from the window. A moderately noisy street, it's like being lucky with the windows where they will go out. Well, the most pleasant thing is the polite and friendly staff of the hotel. The reception staff are very friendly and even sincere people, thank them for that! If you want to stay in Minsk close to the metro, inexpensive and feel comfortable - rent a room in Akademicheskaya on Surganova 7.

A good hotel, for a good price. We were on November 9-10, we lived in a two-room room. The room is large, clean and warm. The staff is friendly and helpful, we arrived early, our room was free, so we checked in early.
The weekend was busy, so we only slept at the hotel. But everything is clean and good.

Advantages of the hotel: convenient location, proximity to the metro, friendly staff. Of the cons: It's not very clean, especially in the bathroom. The Ala Chinese cafe has a strange menu and unhurried waiters.
But the main disadvantage is that the hotel is located on a busy Surganova Street, the traffic is very active almost around the clock. My windows overlooked this street and it seemed like trucks were driving right in my room. I tried to solve the problem by closing the eye, but because there is no air conditioner in the room, in the heat of 30 degrees it turned out to be not the best solution. Two sleepless nights in this hotel spoiled the impression of Minsk.

The hotel is in bad Soviet traditions. The wallpaper is old, the plumbing remembers Brezhnev, the bed linen is colorful like grandmothers, the rooms are not cleaned, there are few outlets. The doors are thin, lockable, and can be kicked out. The reception desk is Granny God's dandelion, can not clearly answer any question about travel services. Shampoo and shower gel are not provided. There is no hair dryer or dryer. There is no laundry service. For three days he asked me to fix the broken towel rail in the bathroom. They didn't fix it.
There is a cafe at the hotel, but none of the guests go there. There is no information about breakfast in the cafe.
Even one star is a lot for a hotel. I do not recommend it.

We were with a friend for 2 nights at the end of June . We are completely satisfied / however , we did not eat at the hotel . The room is in a quiet courtyard , the street itself is close to the center , but not too noisy , there is a kindergarten nearby , the hotel gives a discount coupon there . The room has everything, a nice large bathroom with a shower cabin. Clear. But most importantly, the wonderful , sincere staff. We arrived at six -thirty in the morning , the maid Lyuba met us , took us to the toilet , poured boiling water for soup and coffee , although her shift had already ended - a low bow to her . Friendly girls at the reception , everything is clear, a taxi was called for us. If we come again , we will definitely visit them

The hotel itself is located next to the metro, very convenient, there are also cafes and shops nearby. It was not possible to have a snack in the cafe in the hotel itself. Parking on the side of the yard. Our Windows faced the street, but in general the noise from the cars did not interfere. There was no hot water in the hotel for a day, but this issue is being resolved. We rented two rooms in this hotel, both had refrigerators, kettles and televisions, which is undoubtedly a plus. However, for some reason there was no freezer in one of the refrigerators, but it was not important to us.
Also, the rooms had different shower cabins, faucets and there were no or poor shower mounts (it was inconvenient to wash). Both showers were mildewed, but in one room it was especially black. There was also mold on the sink. It seems that this is not being monitored at all in the hotel. But the bed linen was starched one hundred percent.
An unpleasant surprise was one day, when we returned from a walk, the lack of hot water. I had to wash under the ice, but after a while she appeared.
Also, one of the rooms turned out to have windows on a noisy street, where cars drive even at night, I had to sleep with the windows closed, which saved the situation. For understanding, it was difficult to talk with the window open, because you couldn't shout over the noise standing on the street. But, of course, this jamb cannot be removed, so when booking it is better to write about the possibility of settling in a room facing the courtyard, it is really not noisy there.
The room key must be handed over to the reception at every exit from the hotel, which is not convenient, because they do not have a second key.
The room is not cleaned on weekends, only on weekdays.
Now about the advantages. In the yard you can park the car right under the windows, you can watch several channels on a good TV. They give 3 types of towels, there is a dispenser for soap at the sink and shampoo in the shower.
The toilet and shower are in the room.
The low price is enough, the room is suitable to spend the night, but no more.
It takes 5-7 minutes to walk to the metro.
The hotel gives coupons for 50% discount to the Botanical Garden, but we did not get there, because on weekends and on festival days the discount does not apply, but the hotel staff will not warn you about this.

The room was booked in advance. Despite this, the room was not ready. The key was not given at the reception, they told me to go to the room itself, where the "master girls" are pasting wallpaper!!! There was no one in the room, the key was stuck in the door, the wallpaper near the headboard was torn. After some time, the master did show up, but we initially had no time for repairs in the room, I'm sorry, after 12 hours on the road driving, I want to relax, and not take part in the repair work.
Apart from that: there is nothing in the room at all except a kettle! No tea bags, no dishes, no water, no toothbrushes and toothpaste, no slippers (despite the fact that the floor is not exactly clean). No shower facilities. Of the conventionally soapable, only soap in the dispenser. Conditionally, because... it doesn't soap.…
The room is very, VERY cold, with a persistent musty smell. I want to ventilate, it's hard to breathe such air. But it's too cold for that.

I stayed with my family at this hotel for the night (in winter (-18)). For four, they gave about 40 units. Many will say that you can rent an apartment for this money. I agree, but unlike the rented apartment (there was a sad experience earlier and more than once), pleasant staff was waiting for us here, CLEAN and not smelly room, normal beds with normal mattresses, clean refrigerator, toilet and shower, fresh and clean linen!!!!!
