Of course, the place is impressive. but!!! People make the place, and the impression that the local guide Zhenya made, sooooo enhanced the grandeur of this structure! We've been to many places and in many countries, but as he said, it's something with something! A person lives by this place and in general by history, local customs, the history of religion... 45 minutes of a standard tour turned into more than an hour of live conversation! Thank you so much, Zhenya, for the amazing story about this place specifically, and about Uzbekistan, religion! THANKS
An incredible place! The beauty is extraordinary. The scale is amazing. It was built before our era. From the height there is a magnificent view of the city. Entrance is paid, inexpensive. A must-visit when traveling to Bukhara!
The Ark Citadel is the winter palace of the imam. It was a whole city for the ruler. Part of it was destroyed, leaving only ruins and tablets that used to be here. In all rooms there are different expositions about the life and lifestyle of the ruler and the people. It is interesting to see if you can do it yourself with a guide.
The building is colossal. The entrance ticket includes all the museums inside. The exposure is quite small, but so as not to overwork normally. Souvenirs. Toilet. There are ruins of buildings in the center, most of them are unidentified, it is unclear. Unfortunately, the mosque is not working, it would be beautiful.
The impressive architectural monument, like many in Samarkand, carries a real, long-standing history. I definitely recommend the place to visit, there is a place to walk, something to listen to, and it's nice to take pictures
A very beautiful historical place!! We were in the evening , we didn 't take photos inside , but the photos from the fortress turned out to be excellent for the water tower
The most uninteresting place during a walk around Bukhara.
Admission 40,000 soums (~307 rubles) for foreign tourists)
For local 10,000
There are not large museums on the territory and, of course, a huge number of souvenirs.
Nicely. The walls are under restoration, but you can clearly see exactly how they were created. There is no stunning ensemble inside like in Khiva, but there are many museums. By the way, you can climb the wall and enjoy the view of all the mosques and madrassas of BUKHARA.
Majestic and monumental! The excavation area is particularly interesting... After visiting the citadel, I advise you to climb the Shukhov Tower, from there you can enjoy a magnificent view of Bukhara and the citadel. Well, and accordingly make gorgeous photos
I visited the Ark Fortress in Bukhara in April 2024! The beauty and power of the fortress walls, excavations and videos of Bukhara from the observation deck made an indelible impression on me! I really liked it! I advise everyone to visit this wonderful place in Bukhara!
The Ark Citadel in Bukhara is a majestic journey into history. Its ancient walls and impressive architectural details make you forget in time. Exquisite design and cultural heritage create a unique atmosphere. A visit to the Ark Citadel is a fascinating immersion in the spirit of ancient Bukhara, leaving unforgettable memories.
It's a beautiful fortress, but it's more impressive from the outside than from the inside. There's not much to see or photograph inside. There is a beautiful view of the old town, if only you look inside from behind it
From the outside, the citadel is impressive, as is the whole old town. But inside there are dark rooms-museums, sucked out of the finger . Again, Uzbeks are sitting there selling souvenirs - everywhere . There is very little to see inside , but for the sake of sport you can go.
A beautiful place to take a walk, or just sit in the fresh air and admire the historical monuments of this city, fresh air, but one minus is too many scooters, bicycles and other vehicles that prevent people from walking
Oh, this is a place where history is in the air, a place that has been preserved without repair, in its original form, being in this place, you feel like you are breathing the air of history...
An interesting place. There are a lot of interesting things in one place. There are many souvenir shops and beautiful locations for photography. The territory is large, and the timbers need to be laid for at least half a day.
An interesting place, there are beautiful views from the water tower and from the fortress itself towards the Kolyan minaret. There are rooms with exhibits inside. The visit time is at least 1 hour.
The whole of Bukhara is a delightful city, which I liked the most in Uzbekistan. Of course, I perceive all these amazing monuments in a completely different way with a guide, be sure to listen to the story, a solid Arabic fairy tale
The open-air Museum is undoubtedly something to see, historically a very interesting object. If you want to know how the Khans lived in the Middle Ages, go here. I would not be mistaken if I said that such monuments of antiquity have been preserved in such good condition in few places.
She survived the raids of Genghis Khan and the storming of the Red Army in 1920. The territory of the fortress was about four hectares, and the population reached more than three thousand people, among whom at various times were such great personalities of the Middle Ages as Omar Khayyam, Abu Ali ibn Sina, al-Farabi and Firdousi.
It's beautiful, very colorful. There are small museums on the territory and beautiful exhibits that allow you to better convey the history of the country. You can walk and see the excavations of the old part of the fortress.
The most memorable location from the trip to Bukhara. There are many different museums inside, if you are interested in history, you can walk for a very long time. We are very happy that we got here
A monumental structure, both from the outside and from the inside.Be sure to visit with a guide, learn and see a lot of unusual and ancient things, you can sit on the throne of the ruler
Of course, you can visit, but the absence of a good guide in general can negate the visit. There's not much to see. Although the price tag is high, it creates the feeling of visiting an expensive museum...
An interesting place + a view of the city. Entrance to Sept.24 40000 soums. If you go completely around the fortress, you can see how a new-made wall is being built on one side (apparently so that the Failure does not fail)
Ark is a wonderful ancient place of the 2nd century AD. They are still preserved in their original form, festivals and concerts are held there. There is a museum and an observation deck
A grandiose building of that time. For the chosen ones. In a word, Bukhara City. Everything is provided for, even the prison room. There are many visitors who want to know the life and way of life of the inhabitants of Bukhara. Very interesting.
Very interesting, a great museum! Only the price for the visit upset me very much, it is three times more expensive for foreigners! Why! Who controls these prices and what guided you?
A historical place. Since this is not my first time in Bukhara, I was most interested in what is behind the restored facade of the fortress. For a small fee, we had a look. Unfortunately, all the buildings are in ruins. Judging by the records on the Internet, these are the results of the bombing of the Bolsheviks during the capture of the fortress. In general, it's an eerie sight. It is a pity that the beautiful historical buildings have not survived to the present day. (On the back side of the fortress, the one facing the prison, the wall has been thoroughly destroyed. They are trying to restore it. I think it will take a long time, given the scale of the destruction. The place is beautiful and iconic. It's worth a visit.
it is impossible to resist entering this huge fortress on the way between the other attractions of the city. it offers a wonderful view of the main mass of historical buildings. 5 bricks out of 5.
Really large-scale. A grandiose structure, legend has it that Siyavush is the founder of the citadel. Archaeological excavations show that there was a fortification here in the middle of the first millennium. If you want to learn more, there is a guide service
A beautiful monument from the outside, it is better to view from above from the Shukhov Tower opposite, since there are many ruins inside

The impressions are not forgettable. Everything is fine. There are 90 thousand sightseeing tours from a group of 5 people. There are museums, exhibitions and souvenir shops. There are archaeological excavations at the back of the complex.
Undoubtedly the best attraction in Bukhara. Moreover, it is also an impressive museum , concealing the history of the whole of Bukhara and Central Asia
Cool and beautiful. And, on the outside, more than on the inside. There are a number of museums and streets. If you walk around the Arch from the outside, you can see the part that remained without restoration and understand how it was. Of course, all we see is the restored one. But it does not detract from the grandeur of the object.
