Definitely need to visit. The real European Baroque. Built by an Italian. The preservation of murals, icons, sculptures and interiors in general is amazing. The atmosphere is very historical. Divine services are held there, and there are many parishioners. There is no way to enter the hall during the service, but most of the interior is visible in the vestibule. It's also interesting to attend a Catholic service, it doesn't look like an Orthodox one. This is one of the most interesting Catholic churches in Belarus.
And I liked it!
It's not the first Catholic church I've visited, but it's still beautiful, authentic, and fascinating!
We also want to express our special gratitude to the employee, unfortunately, they did not specify the name of the man who conducted the mini-tour for us, told us about the church itself, about the tomb, even touched on the history of Nesvizh a little.
With thanks and respect, we will definitely be back!
The must-visit Catholic Church of the Body of God, designed by the famous Italian architect Giovanni Bernardoni in the 16th century. Be sure to take an excursion, if you are lucky with a guide, you will fall in love with Nesvizh. A beautiful church with a rich history, the family tomb of the Radziwill family, the third in Europe after the Bourbon and Habsburg families, is located in the basement by order of Nikolai Krystof Radziwill "Sirotki". An orphan boy from Egypt brought a recipe for an embalming agent, the secret of which was passed down from generation to generation in the Radziwill family, which, unfortunately, was lost by the 19th century.
I was there on 01.01.2025 for the first time. It's the same as in most castles in Belarus. It doesn't hurt to go once for understanding and development. In good weather, walking around the castle is pleasant, beautiful, and well-groomed. There is a cafe and a paid toilet on site.
A very beautiful place, the church was built around the 1600s by the Radziwills. Downstairs in the basement is the Radziwill family tomb with 70 coffins, it can also be visited.
Nesvizh castle is located nearby, as I understand it used to be their ancestral home. A very beautiful place, definitely worth a visit.
Architectural monument of Mannerism (Early Baroque), the first Jesuit church in the territory of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, the ancestral tomb of the Radziwill princes. Farny, by the way, means a parish church, i.e. a church belonging to a parish, not an order.
In Belarusian and Polish literature, the Nesvizh Church is often referred to as the first Baroque church outside of However, modern architectural historians prefer not to apply the term Baroque to buildings of the transitional period built before 1603.
The church was built by the Italian architect Giovanni Bernardoni (who also built the princely castle), and the prototype of the church is the Roman temple Il Gesu, built in 1584.
The ensemble of murals of the Far Church is an example of the significant use of Rubens' compositional schemes and occupies a special place in the history of monumental painting of the XVIII century.
It's a very beautiful place. To be honest, the church impressed me even more than the Nesvizh Castle. Quite by chance, one of the staff members of the church began to tell a story, we listened, but there was no stopping her. In her old age, the lady remembers the genealogy of all those buried in the church, no matter what question we ask, there is an instant and very detailed answer. We went from icon to icon, went outside, and it turns out there are a lot of interesting things outside the temple fence. The church is gorgeous. But the guide who conducted the tour is simply on top. I wish there were more such highly professional guides.
A very beautiful, fascinating place! A must-visit. The entrance is free. If there is no guided tour, you can sit in silence and touch the mysterious atmosphere.
The Catholic church. An Orthodox person is attracted here by curiosity. It's always interesting to see how something unfamiliar works. Plus, the Church is interesting from a historical point of view. The tomb of the Radzevill family is located here. It is written that about 70 representatives of the genus were buried. It will not be possible to count, since the burials themselves are behind glass. But their appearance and quantity are impressive. You can stand, look, read the information. It's hard to say if you might like what you see. That's probably not the point here. I will say one thing: the impression is strong.
Cost (donation amount): 5 Belarusian rubles for adults and 2 rubles for children.
This is the best thing to see in Nesvizh! Only here you will not see new models, but only unique historical values. Every inch of the temple is steeped in history. Painting is a separate art form. There you can also go down to the tomb of the Radziwills.
If you are in Nesvizh, be sure to visit the Church of the Body of God, also known as the Orthodox Catholic Church. It is very beautiful, with a rich history, and there is also the crypt of the Radziwill family. The temple is beautifully painted, you go in, and you feel awe, admiration. Light shades and the presence of pink color give airiness and, one might say, elegance to the interior appearance of the temple. The temple is active and the visit is free. But considering that the temple exists on donations... Here everyone decides for himself, if possible and at will. By the way, a visit to the crypt is paid, you give the money right before entering the tomb. There are many coffins behind the bars below, in which the Radziwills rest. This crypt is the third family tomb in Europe after the Bourbons and Habsburgs. In general, before visiting the temple, I advise you to read about it on the Internet. To sum up, I highly recommend everyone to visit this beautiful ancient temple.
This is a world-class masterpiece, as well as the nearby Nesvizh Castle. It takes your breath away from the painting, from the design. This year, the facade was repaired - it looks great. I recommend you to visit.
It's a great place. it is very beautiful and attractive in its own way. there are a lot of tourists, regardless of the day of the week. especially in summer. there are many attractions nearby and there is a place to eat.
I was lucky enough to visit the most beautiful church in Belarus. An incredibly beautiful, spiritual place with a rich history. It is located within walking distance from Nesvizh Castle.
It is impressive, and here you understand how an illiterate peasant could be kept in obedience in the name of God, beautifully, and it was created at the expense of ordinary people, whom the Catholic Church selected.
Beauty and greatness!
The Orthodox Church stood during the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, it was preserved and on all maps it was highlighted as a Shrine.
A couple of bullets hit the domed cross all the time.
This family church was built at the expense of the Radziwills, and their Tomb is also here. A famous family that has made a huge contribution to the history of Europe and Russia!
The church is active. This is not a museum.
Just sit down and listen through the ages…
The church became a real discovery for me in Nesvizh. Hiding behind the main tourist attraction, it reveals its uniqueness and historical significance. Inside the temple, I felt a unique atmosphere and tranquility, which helped me to retire and delve into my own thoughts. Every detail of the interior decoration, every carved image, creates a harmonious and majestic overall impression. I just couldn't believe that such a treasure could be located in such a little-known corner of Nesvizh.
It is definitely worth noting that Nesvizh is not only the Nesvizh Castle. The city is also rich in other attractions, such as old residential buildings, architectural ensembles, cozy streets and beautiful parks. Walking through Nesvizh, I found many charming places that are definitely worth a visit.
The church itself is beautiful and interesting, the frescoes have been preserved, but the parishioners are apparently focused on scaring others away from the Catholic Church. Granny is standing at the entrance, rudely attacking the visitors. Some of the parishioners' faces look as if they were not praying to God, but on the contrary: there is no kindness or warmth in them. This object is suitable for viewing only from an architectural point of view, no more.
It is a very beautiful building, both outside and inside. We got there when there was no service and were able to enjoy its interior. It's very exciting and unusual. I've only seen this in movies before. Definitely worth a visit. Before familiarity with another religion, another culture is the most important thing.
It's just an incredible place, what's outside, what's inside. So it was also the first church that I was able to visit. It has a very beautiful design, graceful, in addition, it is the first Jesuit church in the territory of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth with the ancestral tomb of the Princes Radziwills, which we managed to visit.
After the reconstruction of the adjacent territory, the church looks awesome. The old trees were removed (well, almost all of them). They put tiles, new benches. New asphalt was laid. I installed a fence on Plebania. The parking lot has been updated. Everything looks great. Really, why did they put a royal in front of the church?
A beautiful historical place, the tomb of some crowned heads. Nearby is the most beautiful palace of the Radziwill dynasty, an ancient family. The nature around is indescribably seditious
I have been there more than once and always learned something new, it is very interesting that the guides tell the story of the castle, I recommend it to everyone
As an Orthodox man, he entered the cathedral with some special trepidation. Here you touch with your soul the history of the whole people living in Belarus. It is impossible to put it into words. The resting place of the Radziwill family, the owners of the Belarusian and Lithuanian lands, is located in the lower limit of the cathedral. Which also adds emotion. I definitely recommend you to visit.
A grandiose structure. The interior is very beautiful, the ceiling paintings are amazing. The restoration, apparently, has not been completed yet, but even with this in mind, it is very impressive. The staff knows the history well, and our questions were answered very professionally
We walked around the city and came across this incredible church. Very beautiful inside and out. Atmospheric. A must-visit. And for a small donation, you can go down to a small tomb.
The temple is of stunning beauty, executed in the early Baroque style. The painting of the dome with the volume effect is especially admired (when the flat image looks like a three-dimensional stucco). The altar image of the "Last Supper" is also executed in a non-standard way - the participants are sitting not at a long table, but at a round table. Surprisingly, the temple has been functioning continuously since the 16th century!
Founded by Nikolai Sirotka from the Radzville family, the temple became the ancestral tomb of the famous family. To be buried here is a great honor, not to say a dream. One of the oldest members of the Elzbieta family died in 2021. at the age of 103, she bequeathed to be buried in this church.
Everything is very beautifully done inside, you can sit and think about high things, be sure to come in, even if you don't have much time, it takes less than a minute to get emotions
An interesting church. We went in at the beginning of the service - we were surprised by the number of parishioners. There were not even close to such a large number of people in the Orthodox church, which is located a little to the side.
Beautiful interior inside, it's a pity that I couldn't climb the church because of the service
Very beautiful. It is a beautiful and majestic building that impresses with its beauty and atmosphere. There is a special atmosphere inside the church that makes you think about the eternal. I have been here several times and every time I got great pleasure from visiting this place.
The church has a very beautiful architecture, which impresses with its elegance and grace.
I highly recommend visiting this church to anyone who appreciates beauty and spirituality. This is a place that will leave an unforgettable impression and help you immerse yourself in a world of harmony and peace.
A wonderful place, inside and out, the beauty of architecture and painting is simply mesmerizing, in the part of Russia where we live there is simply no such thing and for us it looks very unusual, a piece of real Europe
It was not possible to get inside, only to look from the entrance, but it is also a beautiful sight. Unfortunately, the church was opened only after the departure of the tour.
A beautiful Catholic church is located near the castle. It impresses with its architecture, both inside and outside. It's not big, so the tour won't take much time
This is the family temple of the Radziwills - one of the richest families in Europe! It has never been closed, so it has preserved maximum authenticity. And yet, under the church is the family crypt of the Radziwills, who cultivated the embalming of their dead. With a good combination of circumstances, you can get there and plunge into the atmosphere of an old dungeon with sarcophagi and creepy legends...
An amazing church! The main thing is not to get into the service, then you can not enter.... But we waited 1.5 hours and didn't regret it. In the crypt you can visit the tomb of the Radziwills, there is an audio guide, the church can be studied and viewed endlessly
The Orthodox church in Nesvizh is exactly the place that begins to please the eye already when approaching it. Once inside, you feel a real delight from all that human hands have created. From frescoes created by talented artists to fresh flowers in front of icons brought by ordinary parishioners. With all this, the temple has many faces. It is solemn during services and somehow cozy, homely, or something, groups of tourists come, and the guide's story is heard.
He is very handsome . The famous Radziwills ancestral church . There is a centuries-old ancestral crypt in the church. You can visit it for a fee. The caretaker of the church will briefly explain and tell you about the church; and if you happen to meet a very elderly lady who lives in this place, she will willingly enter into a conversation and you will learn everything about the church and about Nesvizh and many historical facts in general …
The church is simply a must-visit, as a monument of time and architecture, just a fire! There are native elements from different times, not only modern restoration, stunning wall paintings. They won't let you into the crypt. But there is something to see.
