The best I've ever had.

Positive:
1) Excellent quality of some dishes. I really liked the salad with burata cheese and filet mignon steak (a great combination with gorgonzola cheese sauce)
2) Very polite staff, everything is at the highest level
3) the atmosphere in the hall is pleasant and inviting
In general, it leaves a good impression. Of the dishes I ordered, I liked pepperoni pizza the least, in my opinion, it did not reach the level of a perfectly cooked filet mignon steak, in which the combinations of flavors are optimally selected. Also, I would like to note that all the drinks I ordered (lemonades, teas) were just normal, without enthusiasm.

An Italian place that I would not recommend
I'll start with the pros. The establishment has them.
1) Kitchen
There are zero problems with the kitchen. A good choice. Plus it's very tasty.
2) Interior
Del Papa is beautiful and cozy.
3) Location
The establishment is located right in the center.
But all these advantages are negated (for me personally) by poor service.
We have been to Del Papa 3 times. And all 3 times we faced poor service.
One day we waited for 15 minutes for the dirty dishes to be taken away from us. I could have ignored it if the place had a full house. But when 3 waitress girls just stand and chat about something of their own and don't even look at the customers... no.
I would give it 4 stars. But the service really leaves much to be desired.

Excellent cuisine in the traditions of Italy. Since I have been to both Northern and Southern Italy, there is something to compare it with. Everything is delicious, harmonious, rich.
But, there is one big but - it's coffee. The coffee is not Italian and it spoils the whole picture. Considering that there are a significant number of Italian coffee brands on the market, it would be good to choose one of them. Now the coffee is frankly bad - sour, rather in the tradition of Austria/Ukraine/USA, but this is not what you expect from an Italian restaurant.

OK, I'm ready to tell my impressions of the visit:
1. It is not much cooler indoors than outdoors.
2. Be prepared that by sitting on a chair on the street you will find yourself in a puddle from the irrigation system, and the waiter offering this particular table did not warn about the possible risks of wetting your pants. But when we started to get nervous, she kind of came to her senses and offered to move to the next table. Yes... The chairs were drier there, but dripping from the top.
3. I chose fish soup, the waitress tried to inform me for a very long time and not very clearly that it was very spicy. And that in fact: absolutely not a spicy soup.
4. The waitress was constantly trying to grab the plate, even though we hadn't finished everything yet.
To sum up: with such a price tag, there is a complete discrepancy in the level of service.

A great restaurant, with an Italian atmosphere. On 10 out of 10: buratta with pesto and the sweetest tomatoes (I'm trying to find at least some similar tomatoes in the city - so far I can't), salad with veal is quite bright and whole - excellent, pepperoni pizza is absolutely Italian, with the right tomato base, excellent dough. The rustic soup is crazy - on beef ribs, but it is absolutely not greasy, there is a lot of meat in the portion. Of the small disappointments - pasta with truffle - champignons are more audible and pasta, although homemade, is rough. In general, it's my own fault - I took pasta with white sauce in vain-in general, it's not my option :) therefore, I do not withdraw points for this. The espresso was great. Tiramisu is served directly from the tray. Just like I do at home! Bomb) A good wine list, Italian draft beer, a large selection of non-alcoholic drinks. For comparison, we were in the advertised cheese factory-restaurant Parmigiano- neither soups, nor, moreover, pizza can be compared to anything, despite the fact that the price tag here is democratic in comparison with Parmigiano. You have to be prepared that in order to sit at a table on the street you will have to wait, tables on the street are not booked. The food is not served quickly either. But it's worth it. The service is polite and attentive. Thank you, we got high and we will definitely come back many times :) P.S. Homemade limoncello as a pleasant compliment - the digestif is really delicious.

I love Italian food and everything related to Italy.
The entourage in the establishment is interesting.
The food is delicious. Curiously, not even all Italian establishments in Moscow can cook like this.
2 pastas, eggplant, pizza. All this came out at 20,601 tenge (about 3,000 rubles).

There was a stone in my dessert (semifredo), but the manager decided everything correctly, replaced this dessert, excluded it from the bill, apologized, for this I remove only one asterisk. We had lunch at this restaurant in early December, when we came to Almaty with my husband on business. We were pleasantly surprised! Little Italy ❤️ cute interior, white tablecloths, delicious dishes and lots of parmesan! I would like to mention the excellent service separately! The friendly staff of the restaurant is very polite and attentive.

Okay, every other time. It's sad to see such a level from a network like abr+.
The kitchen is good, but there is no management and customer orientation from the word at all, or rather, as luck would have it.
Then everything is brought very quickly, including the bill and the cultural waiters and we get a great evening, then you wait at the entrance for the administrator, who cannot connect two words and find a place in the hall, confusion in the dishes, the bill, the waiters are not in the mood.
The climax that prompted the negative review was the last, ahem, visit, if you can call it that..
I was waiting at the entrance again, looking for the staff on my own, the bartender (?) who met me did not help from the word at all, they say, go to the administrator. (Should I have called him?)
OK, after a while, the administrator/hostess finally came, who did nothing but bring the menu.
I found a place on the street myself, sat down, and a friend who met me followed me. OK, I sat down, I choose a dish.
The same person comes up, asks to move under the pretext that in half an hour some workers will arrive there and will do something. Of course, it was impossible to say this right away.
OK, I chose another place on the street -"They will work here too." I could not answer the question where they would not work, after a minute of dialogue, pulling the answer out of the staff with ticks, it turned out that it was "impossible" on the street.
So much time spent in such an institution just to clarify the circumstances is just tinny.
Naturally, he went to another place, sat comfortably, after which, passing by, he saw that the only couple was sitting on the veranda, and was sitting 40 minutes later, and naturally no one was doing anything there, repairing, no work was being carried out.
Apparently, it was the banal laziness of the employees, and the inability to have an adequate dialogue. Well, it says here that it's too lazy to go to a regular customer on the street, so the customer will go to competitors.
