The territory is still being improved after a long downtime. The lawns are dry in some places, and the paths are broken. But the work is carried out daily, it can be seen. I liked Panton and the beach, which is not very long with the opportunity to swim from the shore. We settled in without difficulty, right on the first line. In gratitude, I decided to give the employee 200 pounds in an envelope. It looks like these rooms have just been opened after a little cosmetic facelift. Namely, they stretched all corners and joints in the bathroom with a white sealant. The rest of the room is clean and spacious. Cleaning is daily, of course not general. It consists in adding drinking water, laying out a blanket and wiping the floor. The air conditioner is working, but we didn't turn it on, it was enough in the fan mode at medium speed.
The staff is as friendly, smiling and attentive as they were six years ago. Outright extortion of tips was not noticed.
The food is excellent, as it was 6 years ago. A very diverse menu, interesting and different snacks, desserts. Fresh fruits. We tried fresh dates for the first time. I have never seen such a miracle in any hotel.
There are several types of side dishes for hot dishes. Meat in various configurations and fish. You will definitely not stay hungry.
Drinks according to the standard. Local alcohol, powdered juices and soda. Tea bags and delicious coffee from the coffee machine (we drink cappuccino and latte). There are several food bars open between lunch and dinner. Delicious burgers, shawarma, hot dogs, French fries, etc. goodies.

The hotel is disgusting, the vacation was ruined. Of the declared five stars, this hotel confidently pulls in two stars, three are already questionable. If YOU NEED THE SEA, LOOK FOR ANOTHER HOTEL, this is not an option.
In detail, point by point, what this hotel is like, starting from the sea:
The sea – with a hotel capacity of at least 500 people, there is only one (!) floating pier 4 by 5 meters and a paddling pool 7 by 15 meters, because of the coral shore it is impossible to go any other way, this small pier is the only thing there, on approx. 700 meters of coastline. It was very crowded, although there were few people who wanted to swim and the workload of the hotel was less than half. I do not recommend swimming behind the buoys, there is a strong current, plus boats go there. Right outside the hotel there is a 30-meter normal beach, swimming on which is also theoretically prohibited (forbidding signs, but no one is looking), there is a normal entrance to the sea and again, a passage area for ships.
There are umbrellas on the beach, there are sun beds of varying degrees of damage, no one washes or cleans the sun beds. There are two bars where they pour beer and soda, there is one stall with shawarma. There is one tent with towels, the towels are dilapidated and often dirty. Locals stick to the beach, offer massages, diving, excursions and something else. There is a dive stall with a crew, but it's all for a fee.
The territory of the hotel is large and unkempt, in general it gives the impression of a shabby Soviet holiday home or camp site. The fencing of the beach and the territory with fences enhance this impression. Of course, there are pools, quite clean, even the sun beds are nicer at the pools than on the beach. There is a separate volleyball court right next to the beach. Closer to the main building, where there is a reception and a dining room, there is something like an aquapark, a slide for children and a large swimming pool. There is also a pavilion with burgers, pizza and hot dogs, or rather with Egyptian fantasies on this topic. Broken paths everywhere, the peculiarity of the paths is that being laid out of tiles, there are a lot of broken and crumbled tiles, this also applies to steps, a lot of broken ones, also part of the paths are lined with platforms, under which engineering communications are laid, everything is laid so crookedly that it is unrealistic to walk in the evening and not stumble several times. Part of the territory is generally abandoned, about 10 two-storey houses with broken windows and ruined courtyards.
The room is generally not bad, but it pumps up the audibility like in a slum, battered plumbing and sewer problems. It was especially nice to see the brush, all smeared in shit from previous guests. There is no normal cleaning, even despite the tips left. Yes, they spin swans out of towels, but out of wet and dirty ones without changing them! In two weeks, the linen and towels were changed only twice, which does not quite correspond to the five stars. I will also note the dirty curtains, one of the most noticeable interior details in the dirt.
Canteen. This is a separate song. The menu is meager, the same thing every day, there is nothing tasty. About once every three days, the menu is supplemented with some kind of super side dish, a mixture collected from the remains of other side dishes from the previous couple of days. There are always queues for everything and everyone, provided that the hotel was not even half loaded with guests. It's dirty, the tables may not be wiped, if they are cleaned, they sweep the leftovers from the table with napkins under the appliances and return them to the table, they can also easily pick up a paper napkin dropped by someone from the floor and wipe the table with it. Every day I came across unwashed dishes. The chairs are also all stained with the devil knows what.
Bars and drinks – there is a lobby bar, a pool bar next to the lobby, two bars on the beach. Cocktails are made directly with your hands, and I have already written about the understanding of purity above. Next, the peculiarities of local beverage production, they all have one thing in common – the taste is disgusting. Everything is disgusting, and beer, and soda, and gin, and everything in general, you can't even find normal tea here either, only packaged. There is a soda dispenser in the dining room, it also pours rare muck, children should be kept away from it.
The toilets on site are dirty and very smelly. The stench is incredible, beyond words. It doesn't matter M or J. They clean them disgustingly. (perhaps this is a national feature, because everything turned out to be exactly the same in the toilet at the airport).
Animation is missing. Of all the entertainment, half an hour of music at the lobby bar, and after dinner karaoke.
There is an Internet Wi–Fi only at the reception, but it is absolutely dead, there is no connection. You can immediately buy a local SIM card based on your needs, you will most likely be offered officially or bypassing to use WiFi in the building where you live for 10 bucks, do not agree, it is exactly the same dead. Sim cards are sold right in the hotel, in the main building, prepare $ 25.
There were no good impressions left, on the fourth day of my stay I was tired of absolutely everything.

Food.. well, of course, you will not stay hungry, but completely tasteless and, frankly, some kind of unclean, like everything around, from snacks - chopped vegetables, and canapes of vegetables, a circle of chopped carrots, a piece of omelet, and a piece of cucumber - voila, which end exactly 10 minutes after the start of dinner. Everything is bland to the point of impossibility. And queues, queues.. While you're standing at something, all the other food on your plate has been cold for a long time. Drinks and alcohol are rare filth. Tea is dust, no taste, no smell, just paint. SPA is a separate topic. The same devastation as everywhere else. The Jacuzzis are semi-broken (one nozzle works on the hydro massage), although they say that the water is filtered, but not in the process. Because there is a greasy film on the surface, and a dark trace on the walls. I.e., as the water was poured, it turns all day long. The tables are scattered, as if there was a bombing. Mosquitoes devour mercilessly in the evening, the window cannot be opened. The reef is dying, it was much richer 20 years ago. In general, the hotel is creepy, but the sea is good.

The hotel was resold and it is no longer part of the Dessole concern. The territory is huge, even to the point that a bus runs from the reception to the beach every half hour. At the moment, the repair of the right wing of the main building is underway, but this practically does not interfere with rest.
The staff is polite and friendly, the animation is so-so, the kitchen is decent.
For those who like to swim in the sea, a tip: it is better to go (leave by bus) to the far left edge of the Banana beach hotel, there is a lagoon with a sandy beach and a sandy entrance to the sea. In the rest of the territory it is a pontoon or a covered reef.
