It's a great zoo. It has changed a lot for the better since Soviet times. Spacious aviaries and attention to detail. I really liked it! I recommend everyone to visit!
I put 4, because there are several questions.
Firstly, there is not a SINGLE venomous snake in the terrarium. There used to be a cobra, a gyurza, an efa.. We could at least catch a viper at the very least))
Secondly, the signs with the description of animals were made very unsuccessfully. Previously, the habitat was written in words, but now it's just a drawing on the world map.. For example, I do not know where Paraguay, Mozambique or Chad is located.. Of course, I know the continent, but looking at the painted-over square in the center of Africa, I will not determine the country ..
And thirdly, there are few monkeys. Two views of such a zoo is very small.
And I really want an ELEPHANT. There is an elephant.

An excellent place! We were there in the summer, decided to stop by just before leaving the city (since the zoo is right next to the train station) and did not regret it. The zoo is large and well renovated, there are a lot of species of any zoological interest, the animals are kept in spacious and well-maintained enclosures, which is good news. You wouldn't expect anything else from the oldest blue-eyed zoo!

Animals in deplorable condition, in particular artiodactyls! The pony can barely walk because the hooves are not trimmed.
Dzik (who is kept near the toilet in a very small cage) could not get up, got up and falls, it is clear that the animal needs at least an examination by a vet doctor. With grief, the poor animal crawled into its enclosure and fell there. I highly recommend not visiting this animal hell!!!
