Great selection of traditional Armenian stuffed dried fruits. Prices are reasonable for the quality and not high anyway. Sun dried peaches stuffed with sweet walnuts are great, as well as pomegranate dried juice with nuts. Just try it and you will understand what I am talking about.
Gum is where you can find all Armenian goodies at the most reasonable price. I love going to Gum with my kids and meet the locals of Armenia and enjoy their warmth and hospitality
The market is good, there are a lot of goodies, you can try everything. But it is expensive, designed mainly for tourists.
There is a wonderful eatery, they cook Gingalo Khats there. There is nothing so delicious in the area.
GUM Market in Yerevan is a place where you can find everything from fresh fruits and vegetables to unique souvenirs and local products. I was amazed by the variety of products and the atmosphere of the authentic Armenian market. There is a unique atmosphere of trade and exchange of cultural values, which makes visiting GUM an unforgettable experience. I recommend it to anyone who wants to plunge into the authentic atmosphere of the Armenian market and buy high-quality products and souvenirs.
You can find everything here
Very polite, against the general background, sellers, you can bargain
Tourists are not invited
Everything is fresh and delicious
If you are looking for high-quality distillates, it is a good choice
The old Soviet-style market, everything looks very unsanitary, I walked past a row of cheeses - "it smells to put it mildly", the market itself is saturated with the smell of spices in a very strong concentration, when I came out of there, I probably felt this smell for another half hour.Especially strongly with the offer to buy- try do not stick, but there is such a thing. I bought a very tasty thing there- something like an improved version of churchkhela- that is, also a nut in syrup, but either dried apricots or prunes are laid between the pieces of the nut and all this in a "portioned" version, that is, separate balls, so to speak. It is very tasty in this combination, sold by weight, eaten like seeds ...)) I bought figs that are in a green shell, and red inside. mmm...That's how much I dislike purple figs, I love this green one so much. You can't really buy it in Moscow, and it's expensive. And these are the packages (in the photo) that pita bread is sold.))
There is a large market, you can buy beautifully packaged sweets, try homemade cognac. There are very few buyers. Knowing the Armenian words "hello" and "thank you" does not always help to bargain.))
Clean, spacious, comfortable for both sellers and buyers, a lot of good products, friendly sellers, especially if you buy a lot!))) churchkhella and similar sweets are excellent, basturma is delicious, (but you only need to buy the one that you tried yourself!)
Atmospheric, but not budget-friendly. It is necessary to visit, spend money and treat friends and acquaintances with basturma and sweets. Well, drink pomegranate juice.. Dried fruits are overpriced, but the choice is excellent.
There are a lot of different goods, fruit sweets, goodies; you can buy good products for your home, find souvenirs, and buy household goods for your home
I really liked the market. A large selection of various products. Sellers unobtrusively offer their goods, give everything a try, and make sure to make a discount. I advise you to visit👍
Delight!!!
Huge market of natural local products! Fruits, Dried fruits, meat, milk - clean, ecological products! The prices are very low. Of course, all this can be found in Moscow, but the prices will be x10.
There is a huge selection, you can bargain.
Just keep in mind since there are a lot of private traders here, not everyone has payment terminals. It's better to go with cash.
The rows of dried fruits are simply gorgeous, the variety makes your eyes run away. You will definitely be treated to various goodies. You can go through the row, check the prices, and remember, you must bargain!!!
A good market, a lot of interesting and delicious things. In general, this is a real market, they give you a try, so that's why it's inconvenient not to buy. So be careful with this, by the way, if you move away from the market a little, many products are sold on the street and cheaper
A cool market with a wide range of products: fruits, vegetables, cheeses, meat, sausages, sweets, wine and much more. Most sellers are good-natured and positive, they give their products a try. The price can also be negotiated;)
A huge market, a huge selection, you can probably buy everything. The sellers are friendly and polite, they will definitely give you a try. You can even go in not so much to buy, but for the atmosphere.
If you need to buy dried fruits, basturma, cheese or other Armenian natural products, it's here. A legendary place with good quality. The atmosphere is unique.
A small market. I was pleasantly surprised that everyone is allowed to try everything in unlimited quantities. Very tasty dried fruits stuffed with nuts. We bought it home.
Everything is designed for tourists, everyone offers to try it. After passing one pass, we were already full. You can buy sweet and not only gifts to your loved ones, dried fruits and various gift sets. Very tasty freshly squeezed pomegranate juice.
Yummy. You don't have to write anything else) And they will give you a try, and they will make a discount) A variety of spices, dried fruits, sausages, etc. We, however, did not take alcohol here, but you can buy delicious homemade wine (especially blackberry).
There are interesting local products. Alcohol on tap. You can try everything. But Armenian specialists are cheaper in Moscow. On Foodcity, for example. Although everything is delicious.
Delicious, interesting and very colorful)
A large selection of dried fruits, fruits. You can buy meat, pita bread, tea.
Don't forget to ask the sellers where you can have coffee at the market. Oriental coffee for 100 drams - ❤️
Frankly disappointed.
You can buy sujuk in a supermarket (in vacuum packaging, with an understandable production date) along with meat sujuk and Italian cheese, and pay with a mir card)))
I bought with my hands: dried fruits - I threw some of them away (I found mold at home upon careful inspection), walnut jam - it's generally an outrage (nuts were used in jam already mature - teeth can be broken - and hence the question: do the locals not see that the nut is not even suitable for jam in size?.. since the jam is black, it is unclear by appearance, I relied on the decency of the seller / producer. But in vain, apparently it is designed for tourists who will not return anyway. Unpleasant, but not surprised).
Therefore, if you have ever been to vegetable markets in your life, there is nothing to do here (despite the fact that the assortment on all the trays is the same).
If I'm in Yerevan again, I definitely won't go there))
I visited only because of the impressions of English-speaking bloggers on YouTube, whose reviews I looked at before the trip (but they didn't live in a scoop)))
Stuffy, flies. Of course, you can try a lot and a lot of dried fruits, and for this I put three stars. Prices are not cheap for Armenia. for a kilogram of cherries, the seller asked for 2000 drams, then 1700. We bought on the highway for 1000. For a souvenir small plate with dried fruits 2000, in another place 1500. Dried persimmon per kg 6000 drams, bargained for 5000.
Large area, clean. You can find a lot. Coffee will be ground, basturma will be cut. They will advise you, they will give you compliments))) I have never seen such a spiritual market before
It is better to go to the market hungry, everyone is treated and given a taste. An abundance of dried fruits and sweets. Everything is fresh, but we have to bargain. Absolutely)
There is a lot of delicious food, everyone is treated and given a taste before buying. You can buy local dishes from dried fruits, meat, cheese, pita bread, bread, and even magnets)
We were on vacation, advised how to shop ready-made food .., it's just a bomb, a huge assortment, everything is fresh, pleasant prices. A lot of people
A wonderful market with a lot of goodies , wonderful sets of dried fruits and everyone is trying to treat you to something delicious , I recommend you to visit

It is almost the only place in Yerevan where you can buy churchkhela, pastilles, dried fruits. Everything looks beautiful, give it a try before buying. Almost everything is by weight.
But the prices are high. You can bargain quite a bit. And when we went, there were few people, it was uncomfortable.
There is an vegetable and fruit market outside GUM, the prices are average, and there are more people.
The usual market from the 90s)))) if you like to walk through the rows, talk to the merchants, bargain and try. Here you are - the whole range of market smells
An excellent central market, all the best products of Armenia for the season are here , they will give you a try, you will really like it!

Great market, lots of goodies. Before buying, I tried basturma, fruit sweets, wine. Everything is very decent. Nice sellers. They took a lot of things with them to St. Petersburg. But it turned out to be a huge minus - in the beautiful dried (dried) tomatoes, which I bought decently in this market, there were fat white worms. Unfortunately, I saw it a couple of weeks later in St. Petersburg, I guess there were some maggots initially. Be careful, customers.
There is a special vibe here that is very reminiscent of Sochi and Adler. Usually, the abbreviation GUM is associated with something large-scale and elite, but this object is, in fact, an ordinary market.
Authentic Armenian market. All goods are locally produced, everything is given a try and it is impossible to go hungry and without shopping, but the prices are also not small for some items. Well, fruits outside the city can be almost 2 times cheaper
A large selection of fruits and dried fruits.
They are calling from all sides to try, it is not worth buying at the first counter right away, I recommend walking around and asking for prices, the difference can be very significant.
Authentic. Delicious.
They invite you, give you a try and get offended if you don't buy.
As in all oriental bazaars.
Haggling, haggling and haggling again!
There are few people. Markets in Armenia are losing their relevance: there is no need to bargain, there are fixed prices in stores, everyone has the same assortment. Often, the products in the stores are fresher. At the entrance there are dried fruits, then pita bread, fruits, vegetables, cheeses, meat, things. Do not buy at the entrance, go ahead and the prices will please you. On the plus side: you can try all dried fruits stuffed with nuts and other goodies. You can go once...
