There are a lot of Pushers who want to promote you in the queue for money. A very bad attitude towards travelers. Kazakh border guards all ask for gratitude (in the form of money) for nothing, just because they are doing their job. There is lawlessness on the border, civilians are running around and trying to take money from you. The border guards are with them for one thing.
An amazing gathering place for the most decent and responsive people who seek to cross the border. There is an extraordinary politeness both on the part of the staff and in the queues. While waiting, you will be offered a delicious cappuccino with macaroons and a wellness massage.
In the direction of Kazakhstan, I will insert 10 points. Despite the repairs, I have set up face-ID checkpoints for citizens of Kazakhstan, which I respect quickly.Their work will further the prosperity of Alga Kazakhstan
Guys, it's something to go through it, it's already a brave decision, but people have to, since many points are still closed. It usually takes an average of 30 minutes on foot, and the lottery is usually from 6 to 12 hours per season by car. But sometimes luck can be passed in an hour.
We drive through it every year. Across the border is chernyayevka. We go to Uzbekistan for the summer holidays. There, at the customs office. Staff. They don't know how to communicate with people without any respect for people. Starting this year. We will not pass through Chernyayevka anymore, it is better to pass through Yalama. It's better there than here.
everything is fine, not like everyone says that they stand in line for kilometers or we took the bus for arriving so early and quickly went to Tashkent, but on the one hand, when it was problematic, there was really a crowd of people from Uzbekistan, everything is clean from our side, garbage is a mess....
Walking is quite normal. even if there are queues, the border crossing procedure takes 30-40 minutes, and if you're lucky and there aren't many people, then you just go for a walk, presenting your passport several times :)))
By car, everything is not so simple, queues are large on both sides, you can wait for several hours for inspection.
One of the disadvantages is that the entire customs territory is dirty, stuffy and there is nowhere to sit down. Well, it doesn't seem to be a theater, so it's tolerable.
Taxi drivers are obnoxious on both sides of the border. If there is an opportunity for someone to meet you by car from the other side, then it is better to take advantage of it.
The situation is like this, my MC expired the RVP for 1 day, they told him that they had to issue a warning, they took him to some place and he sat there with a bunch of people and waited for about 4 hours. They didn't let me out either way. They want money, they work an hour by a teaspoon. I do not recommend passing here, the border itself is very dirty, there are a lot of people. There is an opportunity to skip quickly before 8 a.m.
I often visit the border
At the moment, reconstruction is underway on the part of Uzbekistan
October 22
There are traffic jams
There are a lot of buses and people
Make separate pedestrians and separate buses
I do not advise you to go through customs with a car, customs officers will rob you at the Kazakh border, They demand money, From the first post they are already asking for 1000 tenge, For another 1000 tenge declaration, and for an inspection of the car that would pass quickly they will ask for 5000 tenge if you do not give money, then you can just drag out time as much as possible, there are no options either money or Time and may not even be missed, A problem on the part of Kazakhstan.
A wonderful quest for travelers. I went to Uzbekistan for the first time in a car with Russian license plates with friends in May 2024. I drove from Kazakhstan to Uzbekistan at night, and as I realized later, we were wonderfully lucky, everything went in 4.5 hours. In general, everything is adequate, document verification, passengers separately, tinting tax, on the Uzbek side all things from the car through the frame. After customs, insurance is issued in any trailer. We came back at lunch. At the entrance, we realized that we were approaching hell. Queues of cars are 3 km long, buses are full every 10 minutes, a hive of people. We stood in the first queue for 6 hours before the first checkpoint, then went through customs for another 5.5 hours. One plus, the bags are checked superficially, there is no need to spread anything. The only thing to prepare for is that a cheerful dog will crawl around and sniff your whole car, shamelessly all over the cabin. I concluded that I will not go to Uzbekistan by car anymore.
Normally, more precisely, there is no other option. Kazakh border guards always ask for a bribe. He even threatens or doesn't let you through by supporting you. Uzbek border guards check up to their underpants. Both have borders. The X-ray tape itself is spread out in a very uncomfortable way. This makes it difficult to check cargo or luggage by dragging it from the car to the X-ray and back. If you have a lot of bags, they may get lost, but I have not encountered this.
At the entrance from Kazakhstan, there is a lawlessness of overbooking places in the queue, incredible dirt, lack of normal toilets. On the part of Uzbekistan, they passed quickly, the impression is more positive. But! Such a moment: I don't know about others, but in our case, when passing the border, both customs officers were very correct, calm, polite. There was no digging, there was no red tape - for which I thank them very much!
If all electronic systems work and there is no crowd from the Kazakh side, then every year it gets better and better. From our side, everyone is always polite, everything is fast. They are not always polite with Kazakh, but they also work without delay. But if something broke down there and there are a lot of people, then it's a nightmare and hell and a crush. In such a situation, I feel sorry for the customs officers.
The worst customs. In Uzbekistan, you pass more or less quickly, but the Kazakh side is terrible. Either they work too slowly or they don't have enough people, I don't understand why it's impossible to fix everything? We have been passing through this border all our lives and only in a few cases there were no problems. And you don't have to talk about moving by car, friends stood until 12 o'clock.
I somehow managed to pass this customs post, from Uzbekistan home to Kazakhstan. Everything is clean, neat, modern. The service is fast, courteous and professional. The fast took place just at the height of the pandemic.
Positive:
There is a toilet,
you can eat,
drink water,
wash your face.
cons:
it took a long time to pass customs from Kazakhstan to Uzbekistan, about 8 hours, in the heat + 36 in the shade,
the Kazakh customs officers persistently asked for a donation, they had to give %)
there were no problems on the Uzbek side, although it was also a long time.
The staff is nice and friendly. We quickly checked and missed it. It is necessary to put turnstiles with passport recognition as Uzbek customs, so as not to stand in line. Everything else is fine.
Closer to NG 2025, the Uzb-Kz-Uzb walk took only 34 minutes compared to 2.5 hours in summer. A separate corridor for citizens of the countries of the Asian-Eurasian Union from Kazakhstan - thank you! They optimize it.
Hello everyone! Try to avoid this place. We were traveling to Uzbekistan, and we stood here for 15 hours in line with a child. The queue is 3 rows and the 4th lane is for those who have money . If you want to drive faster, you have to pay. Complete mayhem is not very happy!!!
The horror is straight,,,,, everyone has their own rate , Kazakh border guards, customs, damn it, everyone asks for money.....And you will come to Uzbekistan just like in Europe, polite relations,,,everything is as it should be, every employee communicates respectfully,,,,thanks to the president of Uzbekistan and the staff of this checkpoint
The queues are kilometers long, and people are constantly coming up who are trying to sell the queue , the feeling is that the queues are artificial, in order for people to pay who can't expect that, we just turned around and went to another border 80 km from this one and crossed the border in 15 minutes , and there we would have to stand for at least half a day..
The passage on foot is quite fast, modern devices for reading foreign passports quickly open the doors after scanning the document itself and the face. If there are no restrictions, it is possible to pass relatively quickly
Customs, border guards - all adequate. The main disadvantage is the long queues on both sides. New security checkpoints are being built, we hope that everything will change for the better soon
Terrible queues, arrived at 22:30, the wait before entering the Kazakh customs was 7 hours, passport control 15 minutes, then 2.5 hours waiting for inspection, inspection 20 minutes, waiting until leaving for neutral territory for about an hour, 1.5 hours at neutral, and a quest at Uzbek customs until 13:30 the next day total about 13 hours. The whole expectation rests on the Uzbek customs. Tip, come at night, so as not to stand in the heat during the day.
Crossing the border has become faster. Passport scanners have been installed at the border, he scans your passport, takes pictures of your face and that's it. You can go through. Technology is evolving.
The only drawback that accompanied on the way through customs was long car queues, be prepared for this and be patient. Otherwise, the work of the staff of the institution does not raise doubts about professionalism and vigilance. Everything is carefully checked and inspected. The employees look neat and communicate with visitors politely and courteously. They work without unnecessary delays, they serve citizens quickly enough. Car inspection points are equipped with a canopy, dog handlers with professionally trained dogs work on guard at the border crossing, and a mouse will not slip by.
There is a very long queue to enter Uzbekistan. For $100, there are people who are ready to deliver your car without waiting in line. Do not carry anything forbidden. They will also find a shelter in Zindan! You need to behave very respectfully with customs officers, comply with all requirements and do not joke. It's fraught!
On the way Uzbekistan - Kazakhstan:
On the Uzbek side, everything is very competent, they will tell you what and where. It's a little worse on the Kazakh side, but it's also acceptable. Most importantly, the passage took relatively little time.
On the way Kazakhstan - Uzbekistan:
On the side of Kazakhstan, everything goes quickly and without complications.
On the Uzbek side, if you are without a car, everything is just as competent. But if you're driving, it's a mess. I recommend downloading the "E-Tranzit" application earlier and filling out an application before visiting the "3rd window", this will help save 1-2 hours of your time.
The Uzbek side does everything quickly and you can even go through a digital passport scan. The Kazakh side has stuffy few windows and giant queues for holidays. On weekdays, everything takes about 12 minutes
Corruption is raging on the part of Zhibek Zhola, he stood there for 6 hours, from there 4.5 hours, the passage of customs itself does not take much time, they ask all the cargo to be unloaded for inspection, they also check all possible glove boxes, the riser in the queue is mainly from the side of Gisht Kuprik they tore off the cache only for tinting 2 K. Overall not bad, but 3 points for corruption.
At the entrance to Uzbekistan. They ask you to pay a tinting fee of 1500 rubles. Then they said that only 10 kg of luggage could be imported. And everything above this weight will be subject to a duty of $ 3 per kg. I specifically decided to go by car to take more things and not limit myself.
If all the windows worked as they should, two people at a time from the Kazakh side, it would be better, and even better it would be done electronically as on the Uzbek side, and the patency of cars should also be accelerated.
On the border of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan on weekdays, walking across the border is not so tedious, but on weekends in hot weather, crossing becomes a torment. On the part of Uzbekistan, the process is automated: passport scanners and cameras are installed on the turnstiles, which makes crossing the border quick and convenient.
On the territory of Kazakhstan, the situation is much worse: there are disorderly queues, crowding and periodic swearing for a place in the queue. The atmosphere in the room in hot weather resembles a torture chamber due to the lack of ventilation, and the only thing that can cool down a little is a passport used instead of a fan. Movers pass through passport control with large bags on trolleys, pushing aside crowds of people, which further exacerbates the tension.
The lack of basic amenities and attention from the border guards forced the woman to breastfeed her baby right on the ground at the entrance to the border checkpoint while her husband stood in line. Border Shepherds move freely without muzzles in queues, scaring young children, although by law they must be muzzled.
Unfortunately, it is forbidden to capture this border quest on a camera: border guards demand to delete the pictures without explaining the reasons.
And finally, when you go through this difficult stage, you are immediately greeted at the entrance by a new crowd of intrusive taxi drivers, grabbing you and your bags and insistently offering their transportation services.
In general, the effectiveness of checkpoints is determined not only by the actions of border guards, but also by the organization of the process itself and its model. The situation described above reflects the current problems on the part of the layman and is intended so that the responsible agency can take measures to improve the conditions for crossing the border. Our Uzbek neighbors have managed to automate the process, and this experience can be successfully applied on our side.
For motorists, crossing the border is a different story.
The end of August 2024. I traveled from Uzbekistan to Kazakhstan by car for 4.5 hours. A very long wait for entry to the customs of Uzbekistan and inspection at it. The Kazakhs didn't even look at the car, it took a few minutes. No one demanded money, nor did they offer to speed up the passage of the border. The attitude of the border guards is neutral.
To cross the border by car is a separate quest. We arrived at the border before three o'clock in the afternoon. It's eleven o'clock at night, i.e. it's been 8 hours, and we're still at the border. At the same time, there were not many cars in the queue: four rows of 20-30 cars each, i.e. 100 cars, no more. They pass several cars at a time in stages, 10-15 pieces at a time. At the moment, we have passed 5 stages: waiting in front of the Kazakh border, waiting immediately after entering the Kazakh border, 5-10 minutes passing through customs control and inspection of the car, waiting in front of the inter-border zone, waiting on the Uzbek side. Each wait is an hour and a half or two. What awaits us next is still a mystery, as well as what we actually expect every time.
It seems easier to walk - the flow of people is constant, they don't stay long.
It's just a mess!!! Lawlessness! They pay both law enforcement agencies and border guards to enter without waiting in line. The queues themselves are artificial. They don't want to work, just give, give, give.
The country is not integrating into international rules and regulations, but is rolling back into the Middle Ages! It's the worst I've ever seen!!!
The customs is very neat and the staff is always happy to help so that there are not many queues, they have set up special aisles where you put your passport and go through
The Chernyayevka checkpoint is an important border checkpoint at the border, designed to cross the border and perform customs formalities. This checkpoint serves (as I know) only passenger transportation, being one of the key routes for international traffic flow.
The positive aspects of the Chernyayevka checkpoint include its strategic location, which provides convenient access for crossing the border. The checkpoint is equipped with modern means of control and security, which helps to effectively check vehicles and cargo. Qualified staff work at the checkpoint, ready to help with the preparation of necessary documents and advise on border crossing issues.
However, as at many other border crossings, problems sometimes arise at Chernyayevka. One of the main complaints is the long waiting time, especially during peak periods. Queues at the border can be very long, which increases crossing time and inconveniences travelers and truck drivers. Some users also note that sometimes there are cases of lack of awareness or disorganization, which can complicate the passage of procedures. In addition, infrastructure and facilities for passengers and drivers may be limited, which reduces the comfort of staying at the checkpoint.
In general, the Chernyayevka checkpoint performs its key function of ensuring control and security at the border, despite some inconveniences associated with the crossing process and waiting.
It is not clear which side is working slowly if you want to enter Uzbekistan you will have to wait 16 hours or 24 hours Kazakhstan will start asking for money from the gate
500 tenge for the gate
Who stamps him 500 tenge
Inspection of 2000 tenge
The last gate is 500 tenge
If you don't give money, you will have problems
It's a disgusting place, don't go there if you can avoid it. The corrupt employees of the KZ border guard service are generally tin. They demand money for nothing at all, it doesn't matter if there is something to complain about or not. The queue is sold by local people, I am sure that it is also served by employees.
The Uzbeks are deliberately delaying the queue!A Russian post, a Kazakh one - you fly by unnoticed, and the Uzbeks can detain you for a day or more! There is no good reason - the border guards just disappear and that's it!Then they appear after a few hours and again, slowly, several cars will miss and again they are not there! I will never go to Uzbekistan by car again!!!
Terrible customs, terrible queues, there's nothing more to say! I do not know who is detaining the Kazakh side or the Uzbek side, there is no order, pushers go and sell the queue or offer to go to another post for a certain amount of money, 20 thousand tenge, like, they went to Tashkent from Bishkek in transit through Kazakhstan. We won't go like this anymore!
I arrived in my car from Yekaterinburg to the Uzbek border in 32 hours.
. To get to Uzbekistan , they waited outside the gate for 18 hours and were screened for another 4 hours
. This is in the heat of +35 +40 , with children ... It is very sad that such an attitude towards people...
Customs from Uzbekistan to Chernyayevka is not very relevant, the throughput is too slow, I think that over time everything will get better and people will not suffer in this situation.
There are different queues for trucks and cars, kilometer-long traffic jams from trucks. And a passenger car has to drive on the oncoming lane, since there is only one lane. And there, at the end , in front of the barrier, the Gaians are waiting . If there were two lanes for traffic closer to the border, it would be ho-ro-sho.
I have been through the customs of Kazakhstan for a very long time,
I think that it is necessary to make a separate window for tourists flying through Tashkent. I was almost late for the plane, fortunately the flight was delayed by 20 minutes
It took place in the summer of 2023.We stood in line for 17 hours. Many people passed without waiting in line for money .There were a couple of paid toilets, if you can call them that.A hole in the ground. The smell is such that my eyes water. Finally, when we passed through customs, it took another 4 hours. They searched the whole car.We were with a small child. They forced me to take everything out of the car, then everything else and weigh it.Moreover, the scales were in another place.Everything had to be dragged. In addition to this nightmare, it was necessary to pay for insurance.Running from one window to another. And everywhere there are queues and a mess. The organization is terrible.Everything is arranged in such a way as to make customs clearance as difficult as possible. We had enough impressions for a lifetime. If they knew, they would have passed through another customs office.
