No frills. To the best of the Turkish understanding of the beautiful. Turkish management is such a management... They pasted "blizir" (and apparently it was glued to toothpaste) and calmed down on that - "we still have to beat off the dough." In short, almost no money was invested - the wiring is so dead that in order to drink tea in the room (and not drink - go to the bar) or use a hair dryer, you must first go around all the neighbors on the floor and ask them not to turn on electrical appliances yet, otherwise no one will have light for a long time. The air conditioners were left by the condos, which were still left by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Kazakh SSR. Who, if there's one thing they can do well, it's buzz. But! The hotel is still right in the central center of the city. It is surrounded by pedestrian areas with a huge number of cafes. Which is extremely convenient. Mountain view. View of the Bolshoi Theater of local bottling. (but let's not get angry - the theater building is gorgeous. the Communist Party did not spare any money at the time). And the main thing for a traveler is the price per room. She's humanly pleasant.

He lived on the 4th floor. The room is very cold, I had to turn on the air conditioner for heating. The renovation and all the furniture are very old. The lighting is dim. It is impossible to turn around in the shower stall and the water does not drain well.
At the moment (May 2023), the lower floors are being renovated, sometimes they work with a jackhammer in the evenings.
Of the good ones - Swedish breakfasts.

We were at the hotel from December 6th to 8th. The rooms were just awful!!! It's cold, the battery is barely warm. These are not isolated cases, because at breakfast, the joys of freezing were discussed by almost all visitors to the hotel. Taking a shower (hot water, thank God, was) when it was winter in the room is still a pleasure, except for true walruses. I had to sleep in my clothes all day. The hotel administration imitated the violent activity that they were trying to do something. But in fact, it all came down to the selective issuance of old electric radiators, which were simply not safe to leave unattended.
To top it all off, the reception lost our payment receipts and for two days they fed us breakfast about the fact that the documents were not ready yet and we had to come in a couple of hours. Only 2 hours before departure to the airport, when we were no longer led to the next promises and pinned the employees to the wall, they finally admitted to us that they had lost the documents, but they could not give us duplicate checks. As a result, 2 hours of stormy showdowns did not give any results, and we left without payment receipts.
If you want to spoil your mood by visiting a very beautiful and hospitable city, then this wonderful hotel is just what you need. Personally, we don't set foot in this mess anymore!!!

Nice hotel. A little "tired". According to personal observations, the rooms on the 4th floor are more tired than on the 6th. Although the hotel won't tell you about it. The breakfasts are good. Eating for money in a hotel restaurant is sooooo expensive, there are many places nearby where you can also eat with quality and cheaper.

No one in 2024 does wifi in a hotel like that! The dots in the corridor are hanging incorrectly, 5 GHz does not catch at all in the room, 2.4 barely. This needs to be redone. The hotel was undergoing major repairs. The construction dust sometimes made it hard to breathe in the elevators. Perhaps the dust contained asbestos, which was used in construction in the 60s. Asbestos is a strong carcinogen. In this case, guests and hotel staff should use respirators. But in fact, the hotel had to be closed during the renovation.
