Before the trip to Grodno, I started talking about this place. There was a desire to visit it, and it happened quite unexpectedly when, at the end of the day of traveling, they decided to take a walk around the center.
When we saw this place, we definitely stopped by.
I was surprised by the authentic interior, and of course the kitchen, or rather the draniki. I haven't tried them anywhere else.

The place is in the very center of the old town. We were the whole family. The pancakes and borscht were quite edible and even tasty. The dishes were not very large, we wanted to share a portion of soup between the children, but it turned out to be impossible here (although in the institution, which is immediately opposite, they met us halfway in the same situation). The frying pan with poultry and potato balls turned out to be a little greasier than my stomach could handle. Overall, I liked it.

The overall impression is not very good. It's long, expensive, and tasteless. The atmosphere of the national institution was killed by loud pop music of foreign origin. It's a basement room, the menu is mediocre, as if it's more of a dining room than a tavern/restaurant of national cuisine. The waiters did not inform about the cooking time, a plate of borscht and hot beef waited at least 40 minutes.. The hot alcoholic drink was served in an ordinary juice glass and also with a straw.. In the end, they did not ask about their impressions, apparently, this institution does not need feedback.

We were there on January 3, but it never got to the point of eating, because the service was just disgusting. When there was a queue in the neighboring establishments, it was half empty. At the same time, they couldn't put us in jail for a long time and simply ignored us. While waiting, complaints poured in from guests who were not lucky enough to eat there after all. Some people didn't get their meals for a long time, while others had a dish included in the bill that they canceled. In general, I do not recommend this place to visit!

It's a very decent place. We came here for breakfast. Shakshuka was great! I even ordered a second helping.

We came again on 10/26/2024 to have dinner. I always liked everything, but this time something went wrong. After the order was brought, I realized that the composition of the salad did not correspond to what was described in the menu. An ingredient was missing, and the second one was added without warning. The second course was French fries. After eating with my spouse, more than half of the plate came across pieces with mold. There was still dessert, which was brought an hour after the order. There were apples with a musty smell in the strudel.
We didn't make a scene, apologized to us, paid and left. But the mood is spoiled. It's good that it didn't affect your health.

We were together, and they brought one cup of tea, usually they at least ask, but more often they bring two.

Very tasty: any kind of draniki, dumplings, borscht, salad. In front of us, the visitors praised 50 front-line grams (draniki, cucumber, onion, sour cream, lard and a stack). I didn't like the pancakes, they tasted like they were defrosted. Overall, it's great, come on in!

The service is good, but the mojito cocktail was terrible, the worst I've tried and warm, the draniki are half-baked!!! And another huge disadvantage was that the hall itself smelled strongly of food, it felt like we were in the kitchen and cooking ourselves, everything smelled of oil and smoke!!!

We visited this place on Sunday evening. We ordered dinner for three people. The waiting time for dishes is 30-40 minutes, in order to pass the waiting time, we took drinks - juice, beer and a glass of white wine. Mors and beer are nothing like that, but wine is a schmurdy, it's impossible to drink it. The dishes arrived almost simultaneously, only one of them did not match the order. They informed the waiter about this, the waiter made it clear with her grin that she didn't care - she didn't like your problems. The dish was refused. Will we come back here again?- I don't think so. There are better places.

The place is passable. The staff is polite and friendly.
The kitchen was pumped up: we took borscht with a girl, she made classic pancakes, I made beef stroganoff, and fruit tea with juniper
Borscht for 13 rubles . It's like a canteen, but it's served with a sandwich with bacon. The broth is not rich, without sourness. Without garlic and herbs.
Classic pancakes for 13 rubles. norms, without greens, sour cream from the store.
The most fucked—up is "beef stroganoff with pancakes" for as much as 26 rubles.: served without greens, without sour cream. The meat dish itself is dominated by champignons, which are not mentioned in the menu. Please note: the ingredients are not listed in the menu at all, which allows the institution to slightly manipulate the expectations of the visitor. For this, in fact, I give 2 stars.
And finally, tea: teapots the size of a mug (300ml), for some reason we got an insular Earl grey in them, despite the fact that we ordered "fruit juniper".
That's how it turned out: 1 position will pull you to the dining room level, 1 position is OK, 2 positions are outright crap. And after all, the chosen one is the most popular in the tourist center of Grodno, which could have been worked out a long time ago and brought to perfection without losing margin. "Come on, they're taking it.".. Or not?

Traveling around Belarus, during these winter holidays, we managed to have lunch in Karchma, which is very conveniently located right at the intersection of Ozheshko Street and Sovetskaya pedestrian street, which charmed us with architecture, cafes, and local flavor. An atmospheric place, due to its convenient location, which is popular. But not only the place is red with Karchma, but with hearty and delicious food. Hot dishes, salads, meat pickles, including national cuisine, with fervor, with heat. Everything is fresh and the portions are good. Chilled visitors can order something hot for themselves, for heating and for a sincere conversation. Thanks to Karchma for the hospitality, we will remember this pleasant place!

We had a rest in this "institution"
and were, to put it mildly, shocked.
The food was all swimming in fat, and they brought a dish with nonexistent ingredients on the menu (instead of toasting, there was sausage, which was absolutely tasteless and inappropriate in appearance). After a couple of passes, everyone who was eating felt sick.
We do not recommend visiting the institution, unless, of course, you want to get poisoned.

It's a great place with local cuisine, cozy, I only visit during the day, so I won't say about the evening atmosphere. The wonderful location is the very center, after a delicious lunch it's great to walk around the historical sites of Grodno.
