You can get from Alma-Ata in three hours. 290 km. For the most part, the road is 4+, you can drive to cruise control. Only two small sections of 15-17 kilometers of old asphalt.
The entrance is directly to the lake, as in the photo, then go down.
You can go upstream of the Chilik River to the middle and upper lakes.

I didn't understand the buzz from Kolsai, I drove so much to find myself at a similar location from Bao or Lake Issyk, someone likes it, I personally didn't have any effect on you, you can watch it once, I definitely won't go a second time!
