The view is simply gorgeous, breathtaking!the location is excellent. There is an eco-trail around the lake where you can walk and there are good places to eat below.
The hotel itself was disappointing: the rooms were tired, there were water shortages in the bathroom, the room was poorly equipped, you could only eat at certain hours, and at other times you usually couldn't even find anyone to just drink tea. The kitchen is good, the service just let me down.

The place is just a fairy tale, the rooms are good, but the audibility is 100%, the walls are shaking, the staff is polite, friendly, the food is for an amateur, but they try. Overall, it's not as bad as expected from the reviews.
You need to understand how far the location is from the city, plus you can only get to the hotel via a one-way serpentine. Therefore, there is no need to be surprised by interruptions in light.
Breakfasts were also expected to be the worst, but even I, a picky person who does not eat everything, found something to eat.
The main disadvantage is really the crown walls, it is impossible to sleep without headphones if there is even just someone walking behind the wall. If the children are screaming, then that's it, guard. Also, you will listen to everything that happens in the hallway.
Well, it's over, you can't cover the bed linen with such linen where there are old stains)
In general, you can endure it for one night.

A cozy and clean room with a private veranda.
At night, you can watch the stars while sitting on an armchair, wrapped in a warm blanket.
Below, near the lake itself, there is a barbecue area and a walkway with access to the water.
At the end of March, after sunset, it gets cold quickly, but the room is warm at the same time.
In a private car without all-wheel drive and a step-down , it is better not to even try to drive up ☝️
They would like to tighten up the kitchen for complete happiness:

The hotel is located on a mountain slope with a magnificent view of the lake. But getting there by car is very problematic. A narrow country road is a serpentine 3-5 km long and 1 car wide. It seems like it is planned to expand, but so far there are not even systems for regulating the flow of oncoming cars, it is very problematic to drive away from an oncoming car. The coastal infrastructure (pier, cafe, etc.) is also under construction. If you are in your own car, then until there is a normal road, it is easier to stay overnight in the village. Saty.

A cozy hotel in the mountains with a stunning view of the lake, a delicious breakfast was included. For dinner, we ordered dishes from local cuisine - delicious and inexpensive. The rooms are clean, but there was no water and glasses, the road to the hotel is terrible, even dangerous. You can only drive an all-terrain vehicle, the hotel has special transport for guests. Overall , the place is amazing . There are 2 yurts, but they were occupied.

Only the view remains of the hotel.
The service is zero. During the 3 days of stay, the room was not cleaned once, not even the garbage was thrown out. There is no one at breakfast, the food is disgusting, the tables are dirty.
The room is shabby. Of the 10 outlets, 2 are working. The key to the room door does not work. A blanket was brought to the request to bring an additional blanket.
Below on the slope there is a wonderful Tara restaurant, which does not compare with this place. A new hotel is also planned there. We are waiting for him.

I was in 2022 and was very pleased. Pleasant rooms, balconies, proximity to the lake. There are few people in this part of the lake, it's quiet. The food is delicious, but in Kazakh traditions there is a lot of meat and potatoes. Vegetarians will have a hard time.

One star only for the magnificent view from the cabin. The rest is just terrible. We booked an eco-house for 80 thousand a day, it looks terrible, the toilet stinks, all the furniture in the house is broken, there is no ventilation. The restaurant also has the same name. The dinner was in deathly silence, the dishes were three-course, the tablecloths were all stained. We left with pleasure and do not plan to return.

We planned to visit this place in an electric car and clarified whether there is Charging on site or near the hotel. It turned out that there was no charging. In general, the car can be charged from household charging, but they refused to help us with this. Then the question came about a visit with a dog (paying extra for a dog is not a problem at all), but we were referred to some hotel rules and told that dogs are not allowed. I would like to say that it is not enough to appropriate a view of the lake, it is also important to develop with the times and be eco-friendly and dog friendly.

Advantages of the hotel
- lake view;

Minuses:
- Breakfast (buffet) not varied: every day boiled eggs, scramble, sausages, either porridge, or milk soup (oatmeal floating in milk), tomatoes and cucumbers, bread, (1 type), cheese (1 type). Halva, jam, condensed milk, butter. Compote, tea bags, coffee three in one. Sometimes you have to wait for food (for example, the scramble ends quickly, you must first pay attention to the staff that the scramble is over, and then wait another 10 minutes for it to be brought). Sometimes we run out of coffee/tea cups. You also have to wait. Coffee from the coffee machine (from the bar) is paid.
- A place where they eat (it is very difficult to name a restaurant or cafe). Beautiful view of the lake. Shabby tables, dirty (greasy) tablecloths, chair covers, napkins. It happened that 80% of the dishes were not on the menu (for lunch, only pilaf was offered from the entire menu, which was expected for 40 minutes). During dinner, there is often a full house, you have to wait until a table is available. You can't wait to take a pizza with you to your room. It happened too. The pizza is delicious, by the way. I must say that they cook for a long time (waiting for a hot dish for 30-40 minutes), but with dignity. Desserts are rare - take some goodies with you. And take the fruits - they are not here.
- The prices in the cafe are high - like in a good cafe in Almaty. The average check per person for lunch or dinner (6000-10000 tenge).
- Wet cleaning every two days. The bed linen has not been changed once in a week. The towel was changed only upon request, and then it was not immediately brought, the next day after the request. The reason is there are no towels. The towels were brought wet - the dryer was broken.
- The Internet is not working well - download movies at home.
- The periodic smell from the sewer is not very annoying, but still
- There is no infrastructure on the territory of the hotel - we were told that a bathhouse was being built. It would be nice to put benches and sun beds next to the hotel.
- There is no sound insulation in the rooms. It feels like the hotel is made of substandard materials - the walls shake with every step. The situation in glamping is probably better, but I can't say for sure.
- The descent to the lake is steep. Climbing back requires good physical fitness.
- The renovation in the rooms is tired, renovation is required.
- With all the above disadvantages, it is very expensive. A room with a mountain view is 45,000 tenge (there is a room category a little cheaper, all the others are more expensive). For comparison, look at hotels in the German Alps for the same price per night (90 euros).
- There are no cupboards/nightstands in the room, there is no place to put things. There are only hook hangers and shoe shelves.
If you suddenly read the hotel management, a few recommendations
- I understand that you always have guests, and you can, in principle, not worry about the service, but still, rely on regular guests - this is a very grateful part of the customers.
- At least a little bit you need to diversify your breakfasts - put a coffee machine, add fruits (sliced), pancakes / pancakes, muesli / granola and yogurt in cups, cook porridge according to the standard so that it is thick.
- Bring normal tables and chairs, bigger ones. And so that you do not need to cover with tablecloths, quickly wipe after the guests. The impression will be completely different.
- Make an area on the territory with sun beds overlooking the lake. So that you can sunbathe, read a book outdoors.
- If there is a sauna, put a hot tub (even for a fee).
- Arrange food supplies - the absence of some dishes on the menu is annoying, especially when you stop for more than one day.
- Buy additional towels and bed linen. Towels need to be changed at least once every 2 days. In the rooms, they do not have time to dry out, you have to wipe yourself wet.
- Put small cupboards in the rooms. It definitely won't be superfluous. If there are also mini fridges and a kettle, they will be super.
- There is a large screen in the dining area - why not put up poufs and turn on a family movie in the evening after dinner?!
- I don't know how difficult it is to organize a more comfortable ascent to the hotel from the lake, but if there is a solution, great!
- A lot of foreign tourists - hire an interpreter, translate the name and composition of the dishes correctly into English (otherwise Kortoshka is translated by kortoshka). Correctly - potatoes - potatoes.
- I saw in one mountain hotel an excellent solution for lunches and dinners - the guests ordered their own dishes in advance at a certain time (during breakfast they left an order for lunch, during lunch - for dinner). Firstly, the load on the kitchen will be lower, secondly, the waiting time for dishes will be reduced, thirdly, guests will not stay too long waiting for dishes and will give tables to other guests faster.
- The bathroom mats are already worn and dirty, most likely they have never been washed. In general, such mats are very impractical, it is better to leave the towel mats, but you will have to change / pick up for washing every day.

The hotel is located in a very picturesque location on the mountainside overlooking the lake. I strongly recommend not to take 2-bed rooms without a balcony (205, 206 and 207). They look more like cells, the windows of which overlook a narrow gap between two walls, where a fetid stream flows. The room is constantly dark, there is an unpleasant smell, the room is not ventilated. A room with a balcony can be booked safely: comfortable square footage, beautiful view from the balcony. There is no air conditioning in the rooms. The road to the hotel is off-road. It is worth ordering a tracer. The staff is friendly. The rooms were not cleaned. The restaurant has a decent assortment and quality of food. But the service is very slow. The breakfast was delicious, but always cold. Coffee from the coffee machine for an additional fee. Excursions to Lake Kaindy can be arranged at the hotel.

Of the cons.
Road. If you have a four-wheel drive SUV, DO NOT DRIVE YOUR CAR. You will most likely reach dry land, but you will scratch the sides and it is unclear what will happen to the wheels and bottom. A really rocky track with ruts and a normal slope like this. Use the hotel transfer (elevator Prado) or choose the Kolsai Grand (there are also disadvantages - do not take glamping) or the Village (I have not tried). Well, or hire/ take a prepared SUV.
Lake. Standard. The descent was so-so, the hotel didn't bother much with it, we tried it in sneakers, eventually changed to mountain boots, went down.
Food. Medium. The cook, who cooked hot on the grill, read the prayer, as a result, the hot was delayed for an hour and a half (yes, an hour and a half) and brought cold.
Visitors. Apparently, the hotel does not have a license to sell alcoholic beverages. That does not prevent visitors from getting drunk in the drabadan, singing songs in the restaurant and rooms, punching each other in the face and throwing them out of the rooms. The administration gets involved, conducts explanatory work, but it is unpleasant.
Conclusion. You can get all the same boat / catamaran trips without adventures to your fifth point. If you want adventures, well, please.

Cool room, the view from the room is simply mind-blowing! We arrived late in the evening, went out on the balcony in the morning and gasped. It's really a pity that we only stayed for 1 night - you can sit on the balcony and enjoy the view for hours. The rooms are very warm, hot water with good pressure.
Of the minuses, perhaps, only the restaurant (uh... mushroom cream soup is something similar to milk soup from childhood, only instead of noodles there were several chopped champignons. It was impossible to eat it. The feeling that the chefs were allowed to go home themselves "as best they could"))), although the chicken soup and fries were successful for the cook)) The breakfasts are meager and not tasty, but it was the 9th day of the tour of Kazakhstan with an overnight stay in new places every time, so we were prepared) and for the stunning view of the lake and really good rooms, you can starve a little)

A good hotel, a beautiful place and by the way the only one near the lake and with a beautiful view, good and delicious cuisine with inexpensive prices, friendly staff, it must be borne in mind that payment for all services is only in cash, there is no connection and Internet, so Caspi transfers are not available, however, as I said earlier, very friendly staff, we did not have any cash with us and as a result, we transferred accommodation and food services much later after the check-out, when we just reached the village of Saty, we also borrowed 10,000 cash from the hotel manager for catamaran riding)) This money was also transferred much later when the network appeared on the way to Almaty. It is recommended to visit.

Great hotel! Lovely rooms , gorgeous view , the only hotel on the lake with a view of it 😍 good cuisine 👌 breakfasts are included, but they are very mediocre. Near the hotel you can take horseback riding for 1 hour 5000 tenge , 20,000 tenge 4 hours to go to the 2nd lake 😍 but you can also ask for 10,000 to walk along the lake and this is quite enough 👌 catamarans 5000 tenge 30 minutes , there is a queue but it passes quickly 👍🏻 I recommend at least 2 nights to go , the beauty is incredible 🥰

There were no half positions on the menu, I ordered a kebab, brought one fat, asked to replace it, brought 4 pieces of meat, said that I had already eaten half of the kebab, out of 4 pieces, 3 were stone, the cook reacted to the remark - you don't want to, you don't want to, don't eat)) The waiters act like they're doing me a favor. During the stay there were many foreigners, for them it was a shock to the campaign. I'm not coming back anymore!

I strongly advise against staying in this place. Everything here is terrible except the view, but the view of the lake from all sides is good. The breakfasts are terrible, the rooms are tiny, there are not even bedside tables. But the main thing and what I encounter for the first time is THEFT! I left the wireless earpods headphones in the room, checked in the room and after a couple of hours found that the headphones were in the room (geolocation confirmed this), called the hotel - they looked in the room and found ATTENTION!!! wired headphones. Sur and nonsense. My headphones are gone. The staff appropriated them for themselves.
When this happens in a hotel, one piece of advice is not to check in and avoid such places that don't even try to wash their reputation

For 55,000 tenge per day, you will receive a ragged poorly cleaned room, where there is no TV and bedside tables, stairs to the second tier are made of untreated wood, you can easily get a splinter, some steps are wobbly, a kettle is provided on request. The descent to the lake is a steep path made of mud and horse manure, if it is wet and it is very difficult to descend with you. 100% audibility in the rooms. Breakfast is poor and although it should be from 8:00 it is served only closer to 9. The food in the restaurant is acceptable.
The only advantage is the view from the window.

Someone complains about the food, but the dinner menu is excellent and the prices are like in restaurants in Almaty. Taking into account the remoteness and lack of alternatives, as well as taking into account that this is a hotel restaurant where prices are always higher, prices could easily be twice as high. So don't complain. Go to a restaurant in any hotel for comparison.
They also complain about the staff in the comments, but everyone was very polite to me and my wife. We were also given a gazebo for free for a couple of hours in the evening, to sit and drink tea from the samovar.
I recommend this place, but don't rush to go early in the morning for breakfast ;)
Porridge is a lot of water and a little pearl barley. Boiled eggs, fried sausages, tortillas, butter, sour cream, chocolate butter, halva, tomatoes and cucumbers. There were also olives, but it was not pleasant to eat them... in general, I did not like the breakfast.
I hope that in the future it will simply be removed and made a paid menu, otherwise it spoils their image
