We rested from September 4 to 15. I liked almost everything. It was even better than expected. Minus, the audibility in the bathroom is 95 percent. The fact that almost everyone was sick with rotovirus is not the fault of the boarding house. In Abkhazia, almost all visitors suffer from it. Therefore, five days of rest will not be enough, because a day or three will be spent on illness. The sea is the purest! The food is of good quality! People are very friendly. If they are rude, they are not Abkhazians! We had a wonderful maid, Madina, who works conscientiously! I would like to come here again!

Advantages: close location to the sea, beautiful nature of Abkhazia, not a large, but very beautiful territory of the boarding house. Delicious food in the dining room.
Minuses:
1. Dear management of the boarding house, consider the issue of mosquito nets in the rooms! as I was told at the reception, you can't turn on the light in the evening and open the balcony, because if you wanted to turn on the light in the evening when you came to the room, and ventilate the room before going to bed (already with the lights off), then your whole room will be filled with fly-ants. They will be everywhere on the ceiling and on the bed... Of course, the room was ventilated without the light on, but if the light was turned on before the balcony opened, then all the living creatures will already be sitting in a dense layer on the balcony door!
It is not realistic to turn on the air conditioner for ventilation, because it hangs directly above your head and will blow directly at you, the room is small and there is nowhere to go.
That is, it turns out that you need to come to the room in the evening and walk along the walls without light by touch, so that you can ventilate the room before going to bed and not sleep in stuffiness.
2. Buy at least small hair dryers and kettles in the room (they can be bought for less than 1000 rubles.), it's an outrage that there is only 1 hair dryer and 1 kettle in a small room without a mirror for one building. Remove the kettle and hair dryer from the refrigerator. Premises are prohibited! The cost of living is not cheap, and the service is VERY lame!
3. Well, about wine for lunch - what kind of fermented raspberry-cherry compote is this! Indeed, as they wrote in the reviews earlier, it is better not to offer anything than to offer this!

1. Food. 1-2/5
Breakfast - most of the food is mediocre. At the time of my arrival at the hotel, the most stable breakfast food was pancakes, but unfortunately they were not always there. Most of the cereals that are offered to choose from are completely tasteless. Once they managed to make a delicious rice porridge, but after a while they messed it up too
Lunch - here we cannot say that the situation has improved. The meat is either a little raw or too tough. Sweets are also not all delicious, but if you come 30 minutes later than the start of lunch, then you will not try sweets, because they will all be snatched up, and new ones will almost not be taken out. Salads can be consumed only those that are seasoned with mayonnaise. The rest will be laterals. Using my example, I will say that there was such a tasteless carrot with garlic that you probably can't even imagine such a thing. There are only empty side dishes and gravies to them, and all sorts of naval pasta and so on are also not bad
Dinner is a degraded version of lunch. There are no sweets, there are only empty rolls or rolls with a drop of jam. The salads are mostly carrots and beets dressed in oil, as well as several other mayonnaise salads. The rest of the dishes are a shadow of the dishes from lunch. There is less choice and, accordingly, the chance to eat normally is also less. To be honest, I didn't eat much for dinner. It wasn't a problem with my standard diet, but it's unlikely that other people will like this outcome of events.
2. Number. 3.5-4/5
We got one of the farthest rooms on the ground floor. The place was good, the room was clean, it was always cleaned. It was convenient that the cleaning of the room always coincided with our absence, so we hardly met with the cleaner. The minus, which is worth saying that if you want not to clean the room on a certain day, then it is unlikely that your wish will be fulfilled. The cleaners will come in there anyway, they will do something anyway, even if you don't want it.
I will also add two points to the minus: on the very first day of arrival, our room door was discharged, which is why we could not get into the room on our own through the card, we had to constantly call the girl from the reception (she opened the door for us with an ordinary key), we waited for the master until lunch, after which the door was repaired. Also, the second point is that the TV has been disabled. And all on the same first day, we solved the problem that appeared. Fortunately, they were resolved, but it was still unpleasant to face such inconveniences.
3. Territory. 2-3/5
There's not much to say about her. The territory is very small, let's just say that there is nowhere to photograph. I am glad that there is a working pool. There is also a bar behind the pool, but there is no point in going there, because literally (seriously, literally) there are several grocery stores across the street where you can buy almost anything you want (in fact, only these stores saved the situation)
4. The beach. 4/5.
It's probably the only good place. It is almost always tidied up, most often there are empty seats, the sun beds there are the most standard, nothing soft is attached.
A very short summary: I would not come to this hotel again. It's okay not to eat and have nothing to do here. It is better to look for something more pleasant for the eye and stomach.

Of the advantages: close to the sea and its own beach, few people.
The service is very lame, everyone is angry and not friendly, the beach keeper yells at everyone all the time.
It feels like they don't need vacationers, for 10 days of rest 2 rolls of toilet paper, and 2 pieces of soap.
There is not even a water cooler.
It's better to keep quiet about food, what is stated and what is actually given....
The cleaners make it clear on the first day that they need to be given money, and then they sit on sofas all day and chat.

Good afternoon. We are having a rest with our family. There are 4 of us, my husband and I, and two sons aged 19 and 10. A two-room suite. There is one bed and one sofa in the room, it is impossible to sleep on it. They brought a cot with a very thin mattress on it. Thanks to the maid, she brought more mattresses, which we put on a cot and a sofa. It got better.
Swimming pool. Today is the fifth day of our stay. The pool is getting dirtier every day. It has never been cleaned. The reception said that there is no person who used to do this now.
Food. Very small selection and not tasty. Elementary, there is no drinking water, no compote, no juice for breakfast. Only boiling water, tea bags and coffee. Still warm milk for breakfast cereals. First, our children got sick, yesterday my husband, today me. Poisoning.
The territory is small and beautiful, but it is dirty everywhere, the paths are not swept, dry leaves are not cleaned. Apparently, there is no janitor either.
Wi-Fi is weak, even in the room it does not charge.
The price of accommodation does not correspond to the services provided. I don't advise anyone.

We rest here from July 17 to July 23, 2022. I was impressed by the well-groomed territory, blooming oleanders and magnolias, palm trees from tiny to huge. We got a room on the second floor of the 2nd building. Spacious, clean with two small balconies. Split, TV, mini fridge, set of towels - these are all the available delights of living in a room. It turned out that the room of our category (which one was not specified) did not have a hairdryer, kettle, dishes. A hair dryer, a kettle and an ironing board with an iron are on the floor, nothing can be taken to the room! There are 3 glasses available for us from the dishes. There are two small pieces of soap in the bathroom, nothing else. Thank you, at least there's plenty of toilet paper!
The room overlooks the mountains, or rather the road and shops on the opposite side. But the sounds didn't bother us: with the doors closed and the air conditioner running, you can't even hear the train!
I really want to thank our concierge! The sweetest woman, very friendly, treats like family! And in principle, all the staff, with the exception of the young ladies at the reception, are very complacent and friendly.
I would like to mention the dining room separately! Everything is deliciously cooked, everything is fresh, quite diverse, but the sweet table is especially exciting: delicious cakes and pastries, cookies, buns every day! Everything is fresh and incredibly delicious!!! They bake everything themselves!
In general, the kitchen, people, the gentle sea and nature more than covered the inconveniences of accommodation. If we decide to come here again, we'll just choose a suite and then everything will be fine!
By the way, rotavirus is walking everywhere here - stock up on medicines, since there is nowhere to buy them at night. In the afternoon - no problem (pharmacy opposite)

The boarding house is located on the first strip by the sea. Shops and cafes are within walking distance. The territory of the hotel is small, it has a dining room, SPA, Parking and a swimming pool (unfinished as of May 9). Considering the cost, the food in the dining room is quite tolerable. The room was a double room with a balcony and a view of the mountains, that is, in contrast to the sea, except for the road you will not see anything there, and you will not be able to keep the balcony open, since cars drive along the road at night as during the day - quite high traffic. The room has a TV, mini fridge, air conditioning (with mold under the blowing cover). Bed linen with holes and stains. The room is "cleaned" every day. The pebble beach with sand is clean, there are sun beds. The boarding house as a whole with a price-quality ratio of a solid three.

I liked the hotel, I liked the country. Now for the facts. The rooms have a sea view, the sea is not always visible, in some rooms on the 1st floor the view is blocked by trees. But it's quiet in them. Rooms with mountain views overlook the road. It is lively and noisy. Ropes are stretched on the balconies. Drying swimsuits and towels is not a problem. They are changed every 4 days. But everything is solved by an individual approach. The room has a refrigerator, air conditioning and furniture. A hairdryer and a kettle are on the floor, you can not take them to the room. The laundry works fine, the cost of washing is very small, the clothes will be returned clean and ironed. There is no coffee in the hotel. It's instant for breakfast. There is a cafe in the district, open from 7.30. Across the passage in the building of the abandoned train station, on the right, there is a dining room. Excellent coffee for 50 rubles. The pool is renovated, covered with a film, safe. The beach is big, rocky, you need slippers, they sell everywhere for 300 rubles. There are plenty of sun loungers and umbrellas too. Take fumitox with you. There are shops and a pharmacy in front of the hotel. The dining room is open according to schedule, from 8.30 am breakfast, from 13.00 lunch, from 18.00 dinner, the food is simple but delicious. In the Soviet style. The staff is friendly and courteous if you treat them the same way. Excursions can be taken at the hotel, or you can choose anywhere else, at every step. Wi-Fi in the street, corridors and dining room works well, in rooms with varying success, free of charge. The water in the shower is not uniform, but it does not bother.
Overall, the price-quality ratio is excellent. This is not Turkey. All minor flaws are redeemed by nature and people. And you can always add comfort, for a little money.

There is a volleyball court on the beach, the territory itself is well maintained.There is also a children's room where children spent time (trampoline, maze). We liked the boarding house. If you compare it with hotels in Turkey and Egypt, then you will not go to Abkhazia! We had a room with a view of the mountains and at the same time on the road, the view of the mountains is amazing, the road was annoying only when cars flew by with a furious roar. The territory is not small, the pool is not shallow. The food is good, everything is always fresh. Wonderful vacation, we've been there twice, we're planning more. Cozy old Gagra! Excellent modern rooms, private beach, gorgeous clean sea, not a large but well-maintained territory, swimming pool, everything is nearby. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are delicious. The road is a bit noisy if the rooms have mountain views, but the traffic is interesting. Shops are nearby, everything is not expensive, the market is far away, but this is just for once to buy souvenirs for loved ones. Nice staff, everything is clean. There is a doctor, always ready to help, as well as excellent security, always on the alert and will not leave in trouble. I recommend. But it's a little expensive for this beautiful country.

We rested on 20.06 to 2.07. 2022. Building 2,room with mountain view. It has already been written a lot that it is noisy. This is true, I was saved by earplugs, my husband was not disturbed by the noise. There were no insects. Linen and towels were changed every three days. The rest of the garbage was taken out. Everything would be fine, but one hair dryer per floor, this is an outrage. The hair dryer is in the hallway next to the kettle and ironing board and there is a warning that you cannot take it to the room. That is, the guest should go out into the corridor after the bathroom to dry his hair. That sounds crazy to me. The pool is in good condition. There were always kids splashing around . And the adults were resting too. There were enough sun loungers and an umbrella for everyone. The beach was cleaned after the storm. But regarding nutrition, my opinion is that the cook needs to be changed. It looks like chicken, a lot, but dry and no imagination. Cutlets, sliced chicken, chicken in tomato sauce with vegetables. And there were fish twice. Side dishes - rice and buckwheat or pasta and rice.
That's how they alternated. We ate only vegetable salad. The soups are delicious, the porridges are so-so. The breakfasts are the same every day. Instant coffee. Tea bags. Fruits - sliced bananas, sliced oranges, and peaches were given several times. Wine for lunch, but we couldn't handle it. It's disgusting. This is our opinion, maybe someone will like it. But the staff is friendly, smiling and not intrusive. We are vacationing in Abkhazia for the fifth time. There is a third one in Gagra. In comparison with other hotels where the Cote d'Azur was located, it lags behind. But the potential is good. Let's hope for the best.

Of course, there are disadvantages: an inconvenient transfer across the border, we arrived early, at about 6 a.m., there is nowhere to sit, we waited for the administrator until 8 a.m. The family was already sleeping on the seats:mom and 2 children. Of course, we knew that check-in was from 14.00, but the flight was overnight, so we arrived early. At 8.00 the receptionist came, we were immediately checked in, the room was empty and ready. If the receptionist had been in his place, and not resting, then we would have been in the room a long time ago and would also have been able to relax before breakfast. But they didn't charge us anything for early check-in. Thank you. We will be glad to return to the Cote d'Azur once again.

I had a rest in August 2020. Overall, a good impression: clean rooms, good buffet food. The beach is sparsely populated and fenced on one side, which prevents peddlers from scurrying around. Really old umbrellas and deck chairs. When a lot of vacationers arrived, the deck chairs had to be occupied early, which became annoying. There is a spa salon, I did not like it very much (the qualification of the staff leaves much to be desired)
